Well & Water Pump Repair reviews in Charlottesville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They came out very quickly and we were very happy with them.

They came and investigated the issue. They found out it was actually ants shorting out the pressure gage. Instead of charging me to replace the whole thing, which they could have gotten away with it because there was no way I was climbing into the well house. But they just replaced the gage, which was a whole lot less than I thought I was going to spend.

I don't remember what I spent, but it was very reasonable and we were very pleased with them.

I feel like you can trust this provider. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending them to any of my family or friends.

  • We addressed the acidic water and hard water. He also shocked my well water at no extra cost. Jason was very friendly, very informative, and of all the other companies I was recommended, they were the best price-wise.  I am very happy with the result. He is going to come back in a week or so once things stabilize to test for bacteria. I also may need a new light bulb for my UV system.

  • They were VERY prompt in the return call and service.    The crew was efficient and knowledgeable about their task. ( I ask alot of questions! )  Very professional and courteous staff.
It was not fun being w/o water but it was fixed as efficiently as possible.  Thank You FW&PCo!

  • The men who did the work were very courteous and efficient.  Three months after the installation, however, we learned that the pump had been connected to a an outlet that didn't receive power on a continuous basis.  This could have precipitated a flood while we were out of the country, but thankfully it didn't.  Additionally, we asked B-Dry Waterproofing if it would be willing to pay for the electrical issue, but it wasn't.  We also wish that they had done a better job of finishing the surface of the concrete.

  • It was not clear if there was a leak or if the well had run its course and needed further attention or even a new one drilled. First, on the phone, they discussed what might be the problem; then they came out and found the leak promptly. It helped that the ground was muddy and it was easier to see lighter colored clay bubbling up. The next day, they came with a back hoe and fixed the broken pipe; we discussed if we should stop there or replace the whole pipe but we still didn't know if the well would come back. So, they stopped there and we set up a series of tests to see if the pressure in the system held and if there was water. If it seemed OK, that was it; if not, we'd move on from there. So far, so good. They were helpful and the price seemed fair.

  • Everything went well.  We had been looking for some time for someone knowledgeable about UV systems and we found Fosters.
We reserve some judgement until they've been out for annual service, to see if they follow through well with that---but so far so good.
I don't recall exact date or cost.

  • This is a newer technology than the more intrusive HVAC duct cooling.  And much more $$ than the single AC window
units. So we were apprehensive and requested bids from 3 electrcial firms. Years ago another firm installed a smaller
heat pump in an addition and we planned to use them again.  Their bid was much higher,
even with our 'good customer' and 'cash' considerations.  Their technician
told us we had to hire people to remove large bushes next to the house and dig out and level the ground
where the power unit would sit.
Our regular electrician said he did not have the particular license to insall this sort of system given that it involves freon.
We were very pleased with the extremely tidy job done by Robertson.  The small tubing in front of our home looks like a
gutter.  They did not need to remove any bushes.  No major digging was required.  They supplied the necessary
cement platform for the power unit on the ground and it fit nicely between my decade old shrubs.  The polished professional
look of their completed job stands in sharp contrast to my older heat pump.

  • Called for service around 7:30 AM. Repairman arrived a few hours later. He diagnosed the problem as a burned out fan motor and had the repair completed quickly. The air conditioner was back up and running by noon. You couldn't wish for better service than this. Where we used to live in northern Virginia, it would typically take a day or so just to get someone out to look into the problem. Then the customer would be placed on a wait list for at least a few more days before someone would actually come to make the repair.

  • My mother-in law's home was without water for at least 2 days.  When I contacted Fluvanna Plumbing Services it was about 4:30 pm on Monday.  The secretary stated she would have go out to the house between 8 and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.  He reported he believed the problem was a clogged up whole house filter, because he removed it the water was working well thoughout the house.  The assessment was free, and I would be charged $75 for the work.he had performed.

On the Wednesday about 2 pm, my mother-in-law's caretaker called to report they were suddenly without water again.  I contacted the office and spoke with him.  He said his license did not include actual well work, so I would need to contact someone who could pull and fix the water pump.  He also informed me he would not charge me for his visit on Tuesday as he had not solved the original problem.

I am very pleased with the promptness, communication, and professionalism of Mr. Perry.  I would definately use his services again.

  • I have worked with Myers Plumbing many times over many years for jobs as small as unclogging a drain to as big as replacing an entire plumbing system in a commercial renovation. Hodges Myers is the best plumber in the area, bar none. He is very responsive and is a Master Plumber. Very professional and communicative. Conscientious. Myers Plumbing may be more expensive than the other places initially, but they save us money and headaches by doing the job right the first time with the right materials. I trust Hodges Myers to be there when we need him and to do the job right for a fair price. I could not be happier with Myers Plumbing.
