  The locksmith showed up the same day I requested service. It was about 1200 when I called for service and he arrived around 1400. Excellent customer service. He re-keyed five locks in about 30 minutes. I didn't have to pay right then either. I was given an estimate over the phone that was very reasonable and they are going to bill me. Further, you could tell the locks were working better after he completed his work, so he must have tuned and lubed them up too.

  Brown's took credit card and did not charge an extra fee for using "plastic"!

  A crew of 3 for most of a half day instead of one for whole day, all super nice as well as thorough and committed to complete all the random jobs to perfection; I will definitely call them when I have more jobs.  They seemed to enjoy working and their camaraderie and sense of humor was very pleasant to be around.  They are very solicitous of the customer's satisfaction, and do a phenomenal job.  I could not have been happier with the results.  I'd give them an A+.  Mr. Barruss is very knowledgeable, quick-thinking, quick-acting and committed to high standards.  Happy to give more detail if needed.

  First of all I called Terry (the Lock Doctor) for advice on what kind of replacement hardware to buy. I told him I'd hire him to do the work, but he had no way of knowing that I'd actually follow through on my promise. Nonetheless, he gave me some valuable advice. Then when I came out of Lowes with my purchase and saw The Lock Doctor truck, and Terry in it, in the parking lot, I went over, introduced myself, and asked if he'd look over my purchases. He did, and pointed out that although it had not been noticeable in the store, it would be noticeable on an external door that the two pieces had somewhat different finishes. I exchanged one of them.
  It took an email and a follow-up phone call to set an appointment for installation, for which Terry apologized profusely. He arrived to do the job precisely on time, was friendly and personable, and given what I'd paid locksmiths before, charged a reasonable amount. He even looked at a very old lock on another door and recommended a place in the area that might be able to help with getting a replacement.
  If I need locksmith services in the future, The Lock Doctor would be my very first choice. I recommend him highly.

  Highly recommended. Terry really knows his business-I knew him when he was with another locksmith company who installed all of the locks at my office. I followed him when he started his own company. He is simply the best! Terry is professional, knowledgeable, prompt and his prices are very reasonable.   Terry is the consummate professional. I have known him for years, from when he worked for another locksmith before he started his own business. He is pleasant, knowledgeable,honest and very good at what he does. He came the same day we called him (our lock on the front door broke and we were locked out of our house!) and made a temporary fix. He then came promptly at the scheduled time, installed the new lock, cleaned up and was on his way.
  You won't find a better, more ethical locksmith in Charlottesville who happens to be a really nice guy. Highly recommended!
