    We were very pleased with the outstanding work of Sean and Talha and the rest of the staff from Boss Design. We hired Sean to redesign the interior of our entire home. He and Talha put together a plan that we absolutely loved. The furniture they suggested looks great and is very functional. Our primary purpose was to increase seating in our home and to spruce up the look. They were able to accomplish this. In fact, we had them order outdoor furniture as well. We have been so pleased. They were wonderful to work with. The customer service was outstanding. They are very creative, but found opportunities to combine many of the things we already owned into the redesign. They asked about our interests and found ways to mesh our passions into their schemes. We would definitely recommend Boss Design for someone looking for interior design of their home.

    I quickly was able to have someone come out to assess the job and measure the door. I was impressed that he immediately knew it was a Pella door and pointed out that the construction made replacing the glass easier than with some other Pella models. The glass had to be ordered, which was estimated to take about 2 weeks, but took closer to 4--possibly due to holiday season. Wasn't a problem for us, and the replacement work was done professionally, with clean up of all materials and even replacement of the decorative film over the glass. Would definitely hire again.

    The door panel had to be custom made. The first piece they received from their supplier was bowed and did not slide satisfactorily for them. It was reordered and installed within a week.

    Our house is 30 years old and has settled a bit. They spent a long time cleaning the door tracks and making sure the door functioned properly. We were very pleased with the result

    We found Tom be a honest and reliable contractor right through the project proposal to the project completion stage. He was very detailed with his proposal breaking the project into labor and material costs and sticking with them through the project unlike some other contractors who offer a low ball estimate and then charge a lot more along the way . We also found him to be knowledgeable, providing suggestions and willing to adapt as we made changes along the project. He also worked with the sub-contractors to make sure that the granite and sink work was perfect. He was also willing to come with to stores to pick for materials - hardware, paint, appliance etc. Another important aspect was that he really manages the project time very well and when we had a problem with the granite delivery schedule, he quickly used that time to get the bathroom work on the way. That way we never lost time and pace on the project.
    Overall we are really satisfied with the work as we were able to make major changes to our kitchen and master bathroom in 3 weeks. Both those areas looks great and we believe we have managed to raise the value of our home by about $20-25K for a resale 2-3 years down the line.

    I am a recent widow. My husband passed on March 30, 2012 of terminal cancer. My 6 year old son is grieving and became angry one day. He took his woody toy (from toy story 3) to the window, and broke the window. The window is two pane. Only one pane was broken. My brother who lived in this same house, and broke the same window 1.5 to 2 years earlier, told me to call CGM. He paid $170. I called CGM, and was told that I would have to bring in the window to save money.  I was told that it would cost $345 and this included them boarding up the window. Because I am alone, and have no one to help, I was at the mercy of CGM. I called my brother just to confirm what I thought he'd said earlier -- that they came to him, took measurements, and returned with the glass and installed in it into the window. My brother said that he never TOUCHED the window. . 
    I decided to go with CGM, believing that once they saw the window, it would have to be the same or a very similar price. Two gentleman came out. One commented, "oh this isn't a unit" this will be easy. I had no clue what the terminology meant, but asked if that would change the price that I was quoted. The service man looked at the order form, and  told me that I would pay at least HALF of what I was quoted. This confirmed exactly what my brother said that he had paid. I was so relieved. 
    They said there was no need for them to board the window up, because they could just slide the screen on it, and return with the window within the hour. 
    Approximately one hour later, they returned with my window, and installed it. The serviceman gave me the bill, looked down, and  shook his head. I looked at the bill and saw that it had not been changed.  I asked him why they didn't adjust the bill.  He said "I'm sorry...I asked them twice to recalculate the order...they wouldn't do it." He really looked sorry and I could tell that he felt that an injustice had occurred.  I asked him if he wouldn't mind if I called them, before I signed the order.  He said "no, I'd do the same thing."
    The clerk told me that she didn't know why there was a difference, but the employee who priced the job was a 20+ year employee. The clerk said that she was not able to find my brother's sales order. I gave her both his name and my sister-in-law's name, and according to their records, the sales order was not in the system. Unfortunately, my brother had not kept the receipt.  I explained that what my brother paid was in line with what the serviceman said I should pay. I spoke to two clerks. Each clerk said "he (the serviceman)-- had no right to tell you that...he doesn't know about pricing... ." My response was,  why wouldn't he know? He does the work, sees the orders, and completes the payment transactions as part of his job duties? They never changed the price, and I was stuck with paying $200 more than what I should have paid.
    At one point I was told that the $200 was for labor. Really?!! $200 for a very quick job. The two guys weren't here for a half hour total. They were very experienced, and removed the window, and reinstalled it quickly.  Oh, and now I know the reason CGM took my credit card information before I even had the work done. I thought it was very odd that my credit card number was taken BEFORE the work was completed.  I asked about this, and the clerk told me that I would have the option of paying by check after the work was completed, but that they needed my credit card information in their files.
    The serviceman was HONEST, and I applaud him for that. I just hope that CGM is not so unscrupulous that they fire him for telling the truth. It's a sad day when companies just rip people off as if it's a sport. Times are hard. I should know.

    I cannot say enough good things about this contractor.  I was having to try to refurbish a four bedroom three bath house in a residential neighborhood from out of town.  I live in DC.  I sought estimates from three contractors, and this was the only one who gave me a detailed and prompt estimate.  And did all the work exactly on schedule.  Beginning with taking up the wall to wall carpeting on very short notice, and moving on from there.  I purchased some items myself, that they picked them up (new tiling, cabinets, etc.)  They also were great in texting me photos from the site when a couple of unexpected problems appeared after they opened up some plumbing areas, and John immediately give me prices to fix them.   Everything was done beautifully--and at the exact prices estimated. They are very detail oriented .  Of all the work done, one item, a thermostat, didin't work correctly, and they came back immediately after the job was completed and after they were paid, and took care of it. I only wish they were in DC, as I would use them here, as well. Found them, by the way, from Angie's List.  Would never have been able to get this job done without Angie's List as a resource.

    From the moment I called CGM i was met with an unfriendly and very rude woman who answered the phone, Ila. She kept interrupting me while I was trying to give her information about the job and where we live.

    Despite her rudeness and surly attitude, she managed to get the repairman to my home on the appointed day (although late). He did the job, but needed new rollers to complete the sliding glass door job, so we arranged for him to come back to put them on once they were delivered (they had only one in the shop, and we needed two, so they ordered one).

    He came back on the appointed day and when he left presented me with a bill for $360.35! The job didn't take him an hour, both visits totaled. I called CGM and asked if they could please provide a price breakdown and was told "no." I asked why, and was told it was "company policy." Incredulous, I said "I paid the bill!" Still no.

    I asked to speak with a manager, was put on hold, and was told the breakdown was as follows:
    $320 labor
    $12 gas surcharge
    $28.35 parts

    When I asked for an hourly rate, I was told again, "no. company policy." $320 for maybe one hour's work is UNBELIEVABLE. So if you want abuse from the moment you call someone (who YOU will be paying); if you don't mind paying an EXORBITANT amount of money for a simple job that takes very little time, then call CGM. You will get abused from the get go, and you will be charged like you are Donald Trump. If not, then call ANYONE else in town.
