it was a horrible experience - it was 2:30am and there was only one other person in the ER besides us, and the nurses stood around and chatted with each other, pretty much completely ignoring us, for nearly 15 mins - they finally got us to fill out paperwork but my son's breathing was so harsh i had to take him OUT into the cold 33 degree air to help - at that point the nurse came out and said "oh, i didn't realize it was this bad" - i was thinking "why do you work in an ER - it's a freakin' ER!", why do you think we are here?!
once they finally got off their butts to help us, they basically didn't do anything significant but give him a little oral medicine and send us on our way - of course, i had to wait so long outside for them to actually HELP US that the cold air seemed to do as much as their medicine
what a poor attitude, poor commitment to helping people, too busy socializing to help people in the ER - we'll never go there again, and there are enough options around this area to allow us to do so...

New to community and was looking for an office that took United Health. Novant Health fit the bill and was located convenient to my home.

The office was spare in terms of décor but the doctor, nurse, and staff were efficient in their jobs. Neither overtly friendly nor unfriendly - just professional.

I still would prefer going to my primary care physician which is further away but Novant Health was perfect for what I needed.

In recent years it is apparent that all medical insurance companies are reducing covered services and increasing patients share of costs, including increased premiums. Our family (due to employers) have had both United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield over the last six years. We found both to be approximately the same in coverage. Once recent trend has been that patients are now responsible for paying for any diagnostic tests (at least blood tests) now, where previosuly these were completely covered. A significant issue with this medical insurance I have is the limitations placed on the migraine medication I use. They will only cover 4 tables a month. Migraine headaches are severe, often incapacitating. Sometimes it only takes one table to abort the headache, but at other time 2 or 3. So if I have more than two migraines a month it is a real problem. Basically it is nothing but a cost control issue for the insurance company, they are not really concerned about ensuring customers get all the help they require and need. In general, it is painful to have any dealing with medical insurance companies. Their goals and objectives are largely inconsistent with great healthcare.

Hospital staff were all amazing, friendly, and good at their jobs. Unless we decide on a birthing center, we will definitely go back there next time.

We just found out that they allowed all their private info including SSN and medical info to be available on google searches for a period of 6 months. OOPS!
