    PuroClean Property Restoration Services
Rick called and set up an appointment. He was very professional during the inspection. He inspected the water damage, used a meter to determine how far into the surrounding linoleum/subflooring the water damage was found, inspected the damage to the kitchen flooring from the basement. Provided appropriate information without too much questioning on my end. Recommendation: create barrier around island while removing the whole kitchen island (36x64) and around the leak in the basement. Measured both the areas in the kitchen and basement that might require barriers, etc. He came out Tuesday 1/29; said he would send in an itemized bid in a couple of days. Because he was so thorough and professional; we planned on giving him the contract. However, we never heard back from Rick or anyone from PuroClean. I was very disappointed. If the job was too small for PuroClean, they should have just let us know so we could move on. Wasted 1 week waiting for a bid.

    Water Damage Pro
Water Damage Pro (WDP) called and set up an appointment; asked that we take pictures of the damage and send it back to WDP. Confirmed that Mo will be out Thursday 1/24 between 11am and 1pm. Mo conducted an "inspection" by looking into the cabinet with a flashlight and looked around the island. Went down to the basement to look at the subflooring under the kitchen. He rattled off some mold species name, referrencing what kind of mold we might have. Said it'll be about $5k to fix the water damage and mold remediation. Asked if they would build some kind of barrier to contain any disturbed mold. Said he can provide it both in the kitchen and basement at no cost (included in the $5K). Recommendation: create barrier around island while removing the whole kitchen island (36x64), address the water damage and remediate any mold issues, and to provide contractors to rebuild the kitchen island. Will provide contractors (drywall, plumber, electrician, handyman) to rebuild kitchen island. I asked him if the bid includes an itemized list; Mo confirmed it would be. As he was leaving, noticed that there was (again, rattled off some kind of mold species) on my electrical outlet (without touching or bending down to look at it). I told him that was some spilt flour from baking. He said "are you sure, it looks like mold." Didn't appreciate the scare tactic. Mo came out Thursday 1/24; said he would send in an itemized bid before the end of the week. Ray, the company owner, called me shortly after and asked if we were ready to sign the contract so he can schedule the fix. I said there must have been some miscommunications; Mo was to provide an itemized bid. Ray said he'll check with Mo. Never heard back from Mo, Ray, or anyone from Water Damage Pro. Wasted about a week waiting to hear back from them. Very disappointed. I would not recommend Water Damage Pro. I have to start all over again

    HomeKey Inspections, LLC
Our inspector was Wolfgang Tatschl, he was extremely thorough and detail oriented. We were very satisfied with the level of care and detail he took to the inspection. Wolfgang took his time (over three hours on a hot Friday afternoon), inspected the attic thoroughly, and physically went up onto the roof. He was also very knowledgable and personable. I would definitely recommend him in the future, and will be requesting him for any future home inspections. On top of that, the turnaround time for Excel was fantastic. Excel was able to accommodate the my (and the seller's) tight schedule. Overall, great experience and will certainly be recommending.

    TJ's Home Inspection Service LLC
TJ is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to fit us in the same day we called as he was wrapping up another inspection a few miles away from our house. He explained thoroughly about the radon detection process and what our options for remediation would be in the event that the levels are too high. Next home we buy, we're going with TJ's for the full package home inspection.

Horribly. I was without a kitchen for 5 and 1/2 months as they stumbled their way through. When I explain and show the job to other professionals they estimate the total cost at only 1/2 of what Paul Davis charged USAA and me. The problem started with remediation for the water and mold damage caused by a slow drip water leak from my refrigerator. My kitchen was gutted and it was nearly two months before rebuild began. Why? Incompetence by management is my best and only answer. My next mistake was to believe that the people who tore it down would be the best ones to rebuild it. An insane decision on my part. The job was to replace the cabinets and island and to reinstall my old appliances and counter tops. I had another contractor redo the floor so that wasn't even part of their total cost. To install new cabinets and to reinstall my old counter tops and appliances, Paul Davis charged nearly $35,000. Now I did do an upgrade on my cabinets which raised my cabinet cost by about $5,000 over a like kind replacement. Difficult to see why that was so high, but I paid it. I wrote the owners of this franchise a long letter explaining all that went wrong. They were very apologetic and offered to try to correct a couple of minor issues, and, later, offered me a gift certificate for dinner. I refused all. I forgot to mention that they also did about $3,000 in damage to fixtures and proceeded to charge USAA for their incompetence. As I said at the beginning: An absolutely horrible experience.

The downstairs fogging as $375 and the duct cleaning and ceiling was $1495. The fogging downstairs was to get rid of the smell. I got rid of the smell, in retrospect I thing something had gone under the house and died. It was a matter of waiting until it completely rots out before you get rid of the smell. The ducts did need cleaning. I haven't notice the mold. The house is on the beach and so, you have got to have mold. I haven't noticed the mold around the vents since they did their work. I am pleased. I did kind of look around on prices and they were in the ballpark.

    Radon Experts of VA LLC
Amazing! Excellent responsive customer service. Easy to schedule. On the day of the install the guys were right on time and completely prepared. The results are excellent - system was installed in such a way that there is really no impact to the appearance of the house. Looks about the same as a gutter pipe. Everything was installed on the exterior, with a pipe going well under the foundation to the gravel bed under the house. Radon Experts are super knowledgeable and also very careful that the install keeps the house looking great. Super low price as well - the guys worked really hard to keep the house beautiful.

The repairman arrived early in the morning and was great.  He asked for a quick walktrhough of the work to be done comparing with the original estimate.  He performed all the work quickly and was very efficient and did quality work.  He also cleaned up after projects very well.  Out ceiling and windows are like new.

    GES Property Pros LLC

I contacted Jerry at GES for a mold inspection on a property that my husband and I were interested in purchasing.  We had a short time frame for the inspection, and I really appreciated that Jerry was willing to come out on short notice, the Friday before a holiday weekend.  Jerry and his partner (a former fireman who was a huge asset to the inspection since there had been a fire at the house), did an incredibly thorough job.  They spent the time necessary to examine the house and answer all of my questions.  They are incredibly knowledgeable and competent professionals.  As it turned out, the house had some significant problems and we decided not to move forward with the purchase.  I am relieved that I called Jerry -- I will never buy a house without calling on his services!

They took a look at our mold issue, gave an estimate, but, also explained in great detail how I could solve the issue myself. Polite and honest. I would hire them in a second for any future issues!
