    NM Seal Bros LLC
NM seal has been sealing our driveway for over 8 years now. We are extremely happy with their service, quality of work and honesty. Few of our neighbours have been getting their driveways sealed by other companies, but got service from NM seal Bros today. Both our neighbours are equally happy with their service. I highly recommend them and would always retrun to them for our driveway sealing in the future! Good luck! Prayers for your business & service!

The bad--when I asked to have my driveway sealed, I also asked if the company repaired driveway cracks--they responded yes. Upon completion of the job, I noticed the crack repair failed within the day. The team came back a few days later and repaired the crack, but also "repaired" several other areas leaving my driveway looking like my kids painted black stripes all over it. Management agreed to recoat my driveway for free, which was done a few days later. However, they also spilled sealant on my concrete apron leaving a big black area. Management agreed to have the stain power-washed, which was done and the area is now clean. The good--the management team was very responsive to my requests. I typically had a response the same day when I sent an email over. They did not challenge the problems and readily agreed to remedy the issues without cost to me. In the end, it appears the crews just need a bit more training on quality control. I know this probably a low paid job, but having a simple driveway sealed took a few weeks from start to finish.

    Washington Pavements LLC
Washington Pavements, LLC appear on the scheduled date, but not until after 1:00 pm. I would have preferred they told me I was the second job that day so I could plan accordingly, as I had to leave prior to finishing the job. The crew members were polite and worked quickly. The owner, Joe, performed the actual laying of the asphalt and his crews prepped and finished the job. The one concern I have is that I was quoted a 3.5" asphalt layer, compacted to 3.0". I observed almost the entire process, and I am sure that a few parts of the driveway do not have that much asphalt-I am now concerned I will be looking at a resurfacing sooner than expected, but that is still years away barring unforeseen issues. They do warranty their work for seven years if you use their sealcoating maintenance, which they recommend you do a few months after the initial job and then every two years thereafter (the seal coat is about twice the cost, but if done every two years is a wash when compared to other sealcoat companies in this area). Their pricing for a replacement driveway was on the lower end, not exactly the cheapest but the warranty exceeded the standard one year warranty offered by four other contractors.

    NM Seal Bros LLC
Decided to try NM Seal Bros for my Driveway sealing this year. Unfortunately I ended up canceling my purchase since their lack of responsiveness. Purchased their deal on AL on June 1st, Asked to have the work done 6/2, 6/5 or 6/6. Promptly received an email on 6/2 asking if I would like their crack filling service for $60. A few emails went back and forth and I requested an actual cost for the crack refilling as their deal stated it could be up to $60 max Well that was the last I heard from them, sent a follow up email on 6/6 and another on 6/8. Didn't hear anything back. Its now 6/12 and still haven't heard back from them. At this point I have canceled the service through AL and gone with a different provider.

    H.F. Asphalt
Excellent! Hugh responded to my request for estimates very quickly. He came quickly and thoroughly explained the process. He was able to get the work done faster than anticipated. He was able to provide a reduced price for being a member of Angie's List and for having my neighbor have his driveway done at the same time. The driveway looks great! The cracks are gone; it's smooth; and the edges are nicely beveled. He provided good information about how soon to walk, drive and allow the dog to walk on it.

    H&H Paving Asphalt Specialist, Inc.
I emailed request for quote over weekend, received call on Monday.  They came by that week and inspected driveway while I was at work; and sent me a detailed quote package that included their license/insurance information, and a listing of work done in my area for the last 10 years or so; of which there were dozens.  This was very helpful in my decision process, as I was able to view examples of their work over a long period by driving through my neighborhood.  They all looked great after many years, and I was able to talk to a neighbor who had his done in the last year and he was very pleased with the work, and he paid about the same for a slightly smaller driveway, with similar work being done.  I was able to discuss the planned work with the owner, and subsequently scheduled the work within a week of my authorization to proceed.
The crew came mid-morning as expected; and completed the effort before 5pm.  They had a crew of 5+, and had jackhammers, steamrollers, dump trucks, bobcat, and asphalt laying machine; quite an array of equipment.
In the end, I was very pleased with the results; based on the amount of new asphalt I had applied, it is curing for a week before I use it; so I haven't actually driven on the new driveway yet.  They very nicely transitioned to the drive, brick walkway and cement transition to street.  They didn't tear up the lawn or landscaping and left the job site in good shape.
I received 3 quotes, the other two wanted to remove the entire old driveway; which H&H cautioned against since the ground in our area could be tricky to work with at times based on their experience in the neighborhood.  I don't know if that was valid advice or not; but their option seems to be working for the one neighbor that I talked to who had the same semi-removal process done.  And their option to only remove the top layer was $700-$1000 cheaper.  And if they did the same for others, the 2006 examples were holding up well too.
My only complaint thus far is the contract; the fine print is was  somewhat obnoxious in their limitations of liability provisions.  And while I know that regardless of the contract terms, you cant get legal relief for your negligence as a contractor (which is what it basically says).  It was so over the top that I almost didn't go with them on that basis; but I looked at my other quotes and they had almost exactly the same terms.  So, I felt I had no recourse and relied on the recommendations and hoped for the best.  Thus far no complaints on the workmanship.

    H&H Paving Asphalt Specialist, Inc.
H&H Paving replaced our asphalt driveway with a new one.  While they were not the least expensive estimate we received (all the estimates were within $100-$200 of each other -- it's not a big driveway), their responsiveness, professionalism, and positive reviews on Angie's List and other sites convinced me to go with them, and I'm glad I did!  From the moment I first called H&H for an estimate until the job was complete, everyone I had contact with at H&H was professional, courteous, and responsive to all of my questions and requests.  While my repave/replace job was probably one of the smaller jobs they encounter, H&H nevertheless treated me like a valued customer from start to finish! They showed up when they said they would, completed the job quickly, efficiently, and for the price I was quoted, totally cleaned up what little mess they made, and left me with a nice, new driveway.  (And their cool, flame painted trucks and paving equipment were the envy of every little boy -- and a few big ones -- in our neighborhood!!!)  I couldn't ask for more from a contractor, and I would definitely recommend H&H to others.

    H&H Paving Asphalt Specialist, Inc.
H&H Paving was the most responsive company when my neighbors and decided to work together to get our driveways repaved.  They were very timely in providing estimates, followed up to see if anything else was needed (but were not pushy), and my dealings with the company were very positive.
Although we did not ultimately use this company for the work, it was not because of anything H&H did or did not do.  I would very definitely recommend anyone who is getting paving work done to contact H&H.

    Chesapeake Paving
My neighbors and I needed to replace our driveways after 26 years, so we each solicited bids from multiple paving companies.  We were able to get 4 written estimates (after speaking collectively to about 12 contractors) for the job of repaving three driveways, along with their respective references.  After checking out the referenced jobs, and speaking among ourselves, we agreed to open a negotiation with Chesapeake for the work (his referenced paving job was still in excellent condition some 5-6 years later).  Ed was very responsive to phone calls, and worked with each neighbor individually to address specific concerns.  A date was chosen; work commenced exactly as planned and lasted for the time period that was estimated.
We thought our driveway was going to encounter issues with drainage, but Brian, the crew supervisor (and part owner of the company) showed us that that was not the case (and he could have told us otherwise and charged us for additional services because we wouldn't have known any better). We also extended the back of our drive by a few feet and, as promised, the terrain was filled in with rock and compressed so as to match the height of the existing driveway.  We also had an old brick walkway that met the driveway in two places and Brian's crew trimmed the bricks and repositioned as needed to give a straight-line between asphalt and brick, and made sure that the height of both was equal.  Above and beyond what was expected but unbelievably appreciated by us.  Brian's crew addressed similar issues with each of my neighbors to create a finished product which shows that Chesapeake pays attention to the little details that a homeowner might not think about.
The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.  The company did exactly what they said they would when they said they would do it.  Several conversations with Brian while work was being conducted left us in no doubt that he knows his asphalt paving and loves his job.  Chesapeake left the jobsites of all three driveways clean of debris and as close to looking undisturbed as possible.
I would highly recommend this company.

    Road Builder Paving
We worked with Danny Cooper from Road Builder Paving. He was easy to work with, and provided a fair estimate. Once the job was agreed upon, he and his crew showed up to do the work. The job took up much of the day, and was done professionally. We are very happy with the work, and with how easy they were to work with.
