    I initially called Pyramid Roofing to explain about the line items on the home inspection report dealing with roofing to see whether the Big Deal would be adequate before purchasing. Holly was extremely helpful, and I ended up purchasing the deal while I was on the phone with her and we scheduled right then. When I met Donnie on Friday, he had some concerns given the steepness of my roof, but he went way above and beyond to resolve the flashing pulling up in various spots, refastening a gutter on the back, installing a flue cap on the water heater pipe, and patching a couple of spots. After he left, Holly called me to let me know that they'd be sending another technician out this week to address the few issues that Donnie wasn't able to due to equipment limitations. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Pyramid Roofing, and will definitely use them again in the future!

    House of Gutters
    Sorry but this is going to be a long read.  If you?re thinking about buying from House of Gutters, I?m certain that reading this review will be worth your time!
    House of Gutters began installing my gutters and gutter guards on May 21, 2015.  Most of the gutters were installed with the
    exception of a few down spouts.  Some of the gutter guards were also installed.  Due to rain the installers had to quit for the day and put all the materials in my garage.  After looking at the gutter guards on my house.  I noticed something didn?t look right.  I went to the garage and checked the box.  Sure enough!  The Contractor was installing a cheaper grade of gutter guard called Xtreme Gutter Guards instead of the RHINO Gutter Guards that my contract specifically calls for by name.
    The next day when the Installer came back to my house, I told him I had some major concerns about the gutter guards that they were installing on my house. I told him they were not "Rhino" gutter guards as spelled out on my contract but that they were substituting them with a cheaper, lower quality product called Xtreme gutter guards.  The Installer called Mr. Raymond Lyons, the Owner of House of Gutters.  Mr. Lyons said, ?he would replace the newer Rhino Extreme gutter guards with the Traditional Rhino
    gutter guards on the following Tuesday?. 
    Well, I was pretty sure that there was no such thing as Rhino Extreme gutter guards, but just to be certain I contacted the manufacturer of RHINO Guard.   Below are the questions to and responses from the manufacturer. 
     1. (Q) Is Xtreme Gutter Guard in any way associated with Rhino Gutter Guard?
          (A) Xtreme Gutter Guard and THE RHINO Gutter Guards are two completely different and separate brands. They are
    manufactured at the same facility, but are not, by any means, considered to be of the same quality or standards.
     2.  (Q) Is the local dealership, House of Gutters, an authorized dealer for Rhino Gutter Guards?
           (A) Yes they are an Authorized RHINO Gutter Guard Dealer.
     3.   (Q)  If Hose of Gutters is not an authorized dealer for Rhino Gutter Guards then why are they using your product information on their web site?
            (A)  I contacted House of Gutters and they offer multiple products, including RHINO Gutter Guards. According to the dealer, they made a mistake when installing the product on your home. They understood their error and should be contacting you shortly to correct this for you.
     4.   (Q) Does Rhino manufacture more than one type of gutter guard?
            (A) No, there is only one type of RHINO Gutter Guard.
    On the following Tuesday, House of Gutters was a no show.  After several calls to the company, I finally received a return call late in the afternoon from Mr. Lyons.  He told me that they had to order the RHINO gutter guards and that they had not arrived. I told Mr. Lyons that I should have be contacted and told this earlier rather than being left in the dark and waiting around all day for them to show up. 
     On Thursday I called House of Gutters twice to get a status on the gutter guards. Both times their representative told me that they would have Mr. Lyons call me back.  I never received a call.  Monday afternoon I once again called House of Gutters. This time I told the representative that I never received a call from Mr. Lyons and threatened that if Mr. Lyons continues to ignore
    my calls that I would be filing a law suite against him with the district court. 
    Again, Mr. Lyons never returned my call.  However, On Tuesday morning the Installer just showed up at my front door with no scheduled appointment to install the Authentic RHINO gutter guards.
     Last week we had the first substantial rain fall since the gutters and guards were completely installed.  The gutter system failed for numerous reasons:
    1.   The top guttersdown spouts now drain onto the roof and flow straight over the gutters on the lower level.
    2.   The Rhino gutter guards were not installed correctly.  The Rhino web site shows that the front of the guard is supposed to screwed to the lip of the gutter and the back of the guard is supposed to be screwed to the fascia board. (My installer did not install any back screws into the fascia!) Because the back screws were not installed, the back of the guards are pushing
    up the ends of my shingles and creating a curved up ski slope for water to accelerate and fly over the lower gutter.
    3.   The two Rhino corner miter boxes also failed.  The reason they failed was because the installer cut away too much of the screen mesh.  When the water and debris from the roof fall onto the miter, the screen mesh just collapses into the gutter.
     Last Friday, June 12, 2015, I called House of Gutters and informed their representative that I was having problems with my new gutters.  Of course they told me that they would forward my message to Mr. Lyons and you guessed it, Mr. Lyons never returned my call.  On Monday morning June 15, 2015, I called House of Gutters again and told them that Mr. Lyons never returned my call. 
    The representative said she would forward my message.  As of today there has not been a call from the company owner.
    Looks like I?m going to have to go down to district court and file that law suite after all.  It appears that Mr. Lyons and his House of Gutters aren?t interested in honoring their warranty.  I currently have a complaint filed against this company through the State of Virginia Attorney Generals office.   

    I wonder how many other folks who had contracts with House of Gutters for RHINO gutter guards were actually duped by this company and received an inferior product in it?s place, or if they were fortunate enough to actually get the Authentic Rhino gutter guards were also fortunate enough to have them installed correctly!  If there?s anybody else out there that purchased RHINO gutter guards from House of Gutters, I urge you to check and see what was actually installed on your gutters and also to check if it was installed correctly.  If it?s not the authentic product or was not installed correctly, please call the Rhino manufacturer and complain to them about their dealership with Mr. Raymond Lyons and his House of Gutters. 
    If you haven?t purchased gutters yet.  HEAD MY WARNING.  TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

    The inspector was late due to traffic, but the office called to let us know. Inconvenient since we purposefully scheduled first thing in the morning so we could still get in to work at a reasonable time, but we were treated courteously so were okay with it. The sweeping/caulking/nail down a couple loose shingles took about an hour and I was very happy with the sweeping job; we have a lot of pine needle buildup which can rot the roof and was one of two primary objectives for hiring this company. No other problems were identified; the roof is 8 years old with 25 year GAF shingles.

    We asked the inspector to look at a small problem area in particular near our front porch. We got an estimate of $900 good for 30 days to repair an area of the swale to the porch, that in the inspectors estimation, had standing water that back flowed under the shingles in a hard rain. The estimate included replacing 2-4 sheets of plywood, tar paper, buildup of the swale with shingles and re-shingling the area. There was a "no guarantee" clause of matching shingles color in the language which I assume is standard since weathering changes the color no matter if you start with the same architectural GAF shingle we used to reroof 8 years ago. I thought the estimate a bit high, but since I am not having leaking right now, decided not to pursue other estimates right away. I will in the future however. The leak was a tricky problem that took five visits from two different roofers to repair and still I am not satisfied the area is moisture free, although the dripping has stopped, it wasn't unequivocally established where the leak was coming from in the first place . I won't zip up the inside until I am absolutely sure.

    The one issue I had was that although my house is a ranch, and the roof is not particularly steep, it has a FROG and a second story apartment over the two of the 3 bays of the garage. The second levels were not swept, nor was the first level on the other side of the attached garage. Why? I called a day or two later and asked them to come back and finish the job. I was treated courteously, the lady assured me they would rectify the situation and it was very promptly done before I got home from work.

    So overall an A, but I think the estimate was a bit high, and I am not sure why parts of the roof would be left upswept and effectively un-inspected on the first go-around. Ultimately, when pointed out by me,  the consumer, it was fixed but I should not have had to do that.

    Waterworks Pressure Cleaning of Virginia
    Didn't get a personal email, it went to my spam folder. Finally got in touch with vendor, set up an appointment. Vendor did not show up. Was offered no apologies by receptionist, only an offer to re-schedule. Pretty annoying. Vendor showed up for second date and did a good job. I was not home. Got a message he was near my home and would call when the job was done. He never called. I called him.

    The provider was very impersonal. Did not reply to request for quotes. Did not do the work when requested. Cannot confirm that the entire gutter system was cleaned until weather gets better and I am able to climb a ladder. Some of the down spouts are draining and some are not which leads me to believe that the down spouts were not cleared and i expected this to be a part of the gutter cleaning. Did not get a condition report for my gutters with recommendations. Very disappointed in this contractor.

    UPDATE: Contractor contacted me and explained that he was not offering the   $99.00 special any longer and said that he was trying to get Angie's List to remove this special for their listings. He was having a difficult time in getting Angie's List to comply. Anyway he told me he would reimburse me my $99.00 and he sent me a check. I changed my ratings that I had originally given the contractor. He made everything for me right. I really appreciate this. I still marked him down on Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism because of the delay it took for him to respond to my concerns. The Professionalism was marked down because of the first two.

    Wow is all I can say!  They contacted me several times to make an appointment, to confirm the appointment and because I had to reschedule.  Great customer service to begin with.  On the day of the appointment, I received a confirmation call as well.  They arrived on time, in very professional clothes, and completed the job, with written documentation for me.  Very impressive!

    Chuck S expertly identified the leaking roof areas. Chuck was both very knowledgeable and courteous. He also did an excellent job matching the existing shingles on the main house. A weel later, the work crew showed up as scheduled, replaced the shingles/roof vent and there have been no further leaks to date. The work crew also did an exceptional clean up, all debris was removed.

    This guy was substantially less expensive. He lives very close to us, and has noticed the changes that have been made to our home and neighborhood. He is very easy to contact. It is all under warranty. They have a truck and just pull out the length they need. They got it done in less than half a day.

    They sealed off a couple of spots like where the chimney came out and some other protrusions from the roof. I had bought a 10-foot piece of siding on the side of my roof that I was hoping they could do for me. They estimated that repair as $450, which was way more than I thought it was worth and I did not take advantage of that offer.

    Overall, it went very well.  (They were actually the sixth contractor I dealt with for the same problem in a two-month period--really odd circumstance.  Others failed to return calls, made exaggerated and costly "fix proposals," or forgot to show up after scheduling a repair.)  Company reps showed up on the date and times agreed upon, explanation of problem was clear and logical, cost was reasonable, and repair was performed in an efficient and professional manner.  I especially appreciated the offer to inspect for any other issues--and the conclusioin that I needed no further repairs at the time.
    Only reason I graded Responsiveness as a "B" is that it took two weeks to actually get a repairman to my home.
