    Murphy & Staats
I have the utmost respect for Dr. Murphy and Dr. Staats. They always will fit in a sick child visit, which is why wait times can be long. But this also means you do not have to take your child to Urgent Care or the ER. Both Drs. are kind, loving, and really care about children and their families. We select our health insurance carrier SOLEY based on them being in-network.

    Murphy & Staats MDs
They have been going there for three years. They are great pediatricians. They have two doctors, one is Staats and the other one is Murphy. They facility is cozy and personal. Murphy specializes in Allergy and Asthma, as well. The office is small, but we like it.

We are new to this practice and saw Dr. Rossbach for our daughter's annual physical. We were impressed with his bedside manner. He takes the time to listen and seems very knowledgeable. We will continue using this practice.

    The Pediatric Group
I have been going to the Pediatric Group for about 10 years. I had a very medic complicated child and they were awesome with us. They are very quick to suggest Early Intervention when warranted. 2 of my children were referred and they were able to receive services at an early age.
They have great hours and wonderful doctors and nurses!

    Staats, Dr. Stacy
Dr Staats saw my son for his annual check up, he had some concerns over allergies and acne. She listened to him and then I came in and we discussed options for his allergies to include testing.

    William Caldwell MD
Dr. Caldwell is the gold standard to whom I hold all other pediatricians.  I came to Dr. Caldwell when I returned from overseas and set up a regular child check up with my toddler.  He was very thorough and I had mentioned how disappointed I had been in all the past pediatricians he's seen.  I also mentioned that my son, who was then 18, only spoke three words. Dr. Caldwell advised me to take him to a pediatric specialist and managed to help me get an appointment soon, since my time in Austin was only for a few months.  Dr. Caldwell was instrumental inhaving my son diagnosed with a speech and other delay (the diagnosis has changed since he started therapy) and pushing me to have him seen by therapists.  Dr. Caldwell was also instrumental in making sure our son went to an ENT for hearing tests and helping us discover that he indeed had a hearing problem at the time which contributed to his speech delay.  Every other pediatrician we saw before would just wave us off when we mentioned those issues.
It's been a year since Dr. Caldwell saw the signs and son has had a year of therapy.  What a complete difference it has made in his life and ours.  Our son went from speaking three words to putting sentences together and the ability to communicate with us.  We even receive good comments on how great their record keeping was and how thorough each visit write up was.
Dr. Caldwell was also the pediatrician who saw my second child, who was born at Seton.  My second child had incredibily high bilirubin count and needed to go in for blood work every single day for two weeks to include Easter Sunday.  Dr. Caldwell would call us every day during this timeframe to include Easter Sunday to tell us the next steps until the bilirubin count went down.
Honestly, we are truly grateful and so happy we saw Dr. Caldwell (and sometimes Dr. Cassis when he wasn't available) and their entire team there is phenomenal.

    Rubio, Capotorto, Gonzalez Pediatric Group
Fantastic.  Dr. Rubio was recommended to us by our Speech Therapist who lives in the area. His staff is super friendly and can always work with us to get us in.  They have two waiting areas - a 'well' child area and a 'sick' child area.  More than not, we're always in the 'sick' child area.  Dr. Rubio has seen our sons for the whole spectrum of issues from ear infections, eczema, colds, even hand, foot and mouth virus (go daycare!), to my toddler finding and eating his grandma's herbal sleep pills one night.  If we have an issue after working hours, we always leave a message with a contact number and if the issue warrants a call back, he always calls back that evening.  We had this happen twice with a vomiting infant and a toddler.
Highly recommend, so happy we found him.  We've only seen Dr. Rubio.

    Pullman & Ariza Pediatrics
She's practical, responsive, and communicates well. She is very good with my kids and I am impressed that she is bilingual. My kids enjoyed that she speaks Spanish to them as well as English. The office is very resourceful, so I appreciate that I can always get in touch with them.

    Murphy & Staats MDs

As I mentioned, Dr. Murphy has been my son's pediatrician for 17 years, and very qualified. I must say, however, he was recommended to me when I first came to Northern VA, and really didn't know any other doctors to switch to later. His practice has always been too busy, and I understand that some years ago there was some dicussion of adding another doctor to the practice, but nothing come of it. I truly think the time and attention paid to the patient has suffered. Fortunately, we've been a very healthy family, and he has treated my son for things such as: allergy testing, step throats, flu, yearly school checkups and immunizations which were treated efficiently. I just feel that Dr. Murphy doesn't really spend enough time with his patients, or ask them enough probing questions about the health and development of their child, and I had questions about ADHD, Sleep Apea, live vs dead polio vaccines, etc. when my son was younger, and had to go elsewhere to get answers.

    Staats, Dr. Stacey H.
She is very good with kids, has good availability, and usually runs on time. In general, she is a very pleasant person. She takes the time with kids and family, and we don’t feel rushed. I cannot say enough good things about her. We would continue to use her in the future.
