The advance team assessed my home and provided moving and preparation tips, as well as, a reasonable estimate of the time and cost. The day of the move, the moving team arrived at the time they committed. They packed what still needed to be packed and they moved all of it without any problems. AMetropolitan Moving & StorageThe move went smoothly and the crew did a great job taking care of our furniture and belongings, as well as getting them into the house to the right rooms. The communication before and during was excellent with Metropolitan being very responsive to my questions pre-move. The estimate was in person (despite COVID), which I was comfortable with and the estimator was masked and distanced appropriately. It felt a bit too salesy to me, but was in line with other bids and his approach to estimating slightly high gave me comfort of no surprises at end (and Metropolitan came slightly under their estimate, which I both expected, but also appreciated). Only two nits were a) when they presented the final charges and hours worked, it seemed like they included their lunch break (as I had kept a close eye on the time when they begin, the time when they finished, and the time they took off for lunch); b) not everyone in the crew wore masks at the house we were moving out of (they did wear them 100% at the new house). In these COVID-times, that feels like an important opportunity that would have made me more comfortable (so I just stayed outside). Would definitely recommend and would hire again. We had the same crew at every step, including our move into our home which was out of state. Everyone was friendly and always ready to do a little bit extra if needed or we requested. AMetropolitan Moving & StorageWe had requested three quotes and while Metropolitan didn’t come in cheapest (they were in the middle) the quote was very reasonable and was based on a video walk through of the house, perfect in the time of Covid. There were no surprises and in fact the final price came in below the estimate so in the end was cheapest! The move itself couldn’t have gone smoother. The team (Mario, Emenelio and Gilmer) were amazing. They were courteous, careful and efficient, and worked incredibly well together. They wore masks at all times, came on time, well prepared and got straight to work with no down time. We would have absolutely no hesitation using Metropolitan again and would ask specifically for Mario and crew for the job. It’s so good to have a contractor live up to expectations and deliver as promised....sadly a rare thing nowadays.- Jill P.

AG&J did a wonderful job. They made the planning and scheduling effortless (thank you Stephenne!). They called the day before the move to confirm the time and details. On moving day Armando and Emilio arrived on time and went right to work. They were very careful to wrap pieces to ensure nothing was damaged. Upon arrival at the new location, they quickly unloaded the truck and asked us where each piece of furniture and each box should be placed. They had everything set up and ready in no time. I would definitely use G&J moving again and I would definitely ask for Armando and Emilio. They were both polite, friendly and very professional.

AThey were exceptional! I have moved many times in my life both locally and internationally and this experience was the best I have had - which says a lot. Isaac and his team are professional, pleasant, respectful and willing to go the extra mile. They have a lot of patience and were willing to keep moving my furniture around until I was satisfied. None of my items were broken or lost - they wrap each item carefully and professionally. As a family business, you can tell that they work from the heart and it shows in their customer service. I was truly impressed and extremely happy with the experience. Will recommend them over and over again. Oh, the service of taking away items I did not want was the icing on the cake!!! FDo NOT move with this company! I hired Town & Country Movers to help me move my really large items from my rental house to the house I purchased, about 10 minutes away. Mark, the estimator that came to look at the house was great and the reason why I selected the company. However, the actual movers that arrived were terrible. First, no one was wearing masks and never even attempted to protect themselves or us during the current health situation. My husband and I moved a lot of items ourselves and the workers were shocked when they arrived and realized they didn't have as much to do and hence would be paid less for the day. I overheard them telling each other to slow down. Most of the time, two guys were working while the other two were standing around. Given that I was paying by the hour, this was frustrating. They damaged the walls at the rental house, as well as the door frame at the house I purchased. Someone spit chewed gum on the driveway of the rental house, right where everyone walks. We are in the middle of a pandemic and I had to clean up chewed gum! This is unacceptable! Then, when they were all finished and we were paying the bill, they tried to round up the time by nearly an hour. When I told him exactly what time they arrived and we looked at the clock and did the math, he acknowledged the difference and took the price down. They also did not credit our final bill the $100 deposit that was paid. We called the company, since the credit card had not been charged yet, and they said the deposit would be credited prior to processing. But it wasn't. We were over charged, which required another call to the company. I still have not seen the deposit credited to my account. There was a lot of unprofessional behavior on all levels of this company. Choose someone else for your move!

AIt has been more than a week since Jose and his crew moved us from Laurel to Brunswick MD. Just wanted to praise their professionalism, expertise and timeliness in executing our move. We were not as prepared as we wanted to be and they packed up many items that were still left. The crew had a long day and at Brunswick some pieces of furniture had to be moved more than once to make everything fit.
