    Phoenix Home Services Inc
We're very satisfied and highly recommend Phoenix Home Services based on home renovations completed in August 2019. Clint met with us at the beginning of the project to provide plans and ensure everything was in order for county and HOA approval. From there, Steve provided outstanding project management and customer support while Dan and his crew provided exceptional workmanship. We highly recommend Phoenix Home Services and will use them again for any future home renovations.

    Adelphia Exteriors
It has been a pleasure to work with Adelphia Exteriors. They have made tackling many of our home maintance and repair projects easy and painless. They are true professionals. From the initial consultation to the completion of the job they instill the confidence that the project will go smoothly and that they will deliver quality workmanship. We have had our attics insulation cleared out and replaced. They sealed-up our old attic hatch up and created a new attic hatch door in another bedroom; their work was seamless! Recently, we hired them to power wash our house exterior, repair some wood rot, restrain our deck, and paint the whole house. During the duration of the job Nick, the owner, would come by to make sure everything was going well and that we were happy. When the trim color started to go on I expressed my concerns about my color choice. He stopped the application and help me pick out a better paint color! That was truly amazing! We are so grateful for his thoughtfulness! Adelphias crew were very repectful to our home and curtious to our family. They used drop clothes and were mindful of my gardens. At the end of the day all rubbish was taken away and their tools and supplies were neatly stored out of the way in our back yard. We are thrilled with the new look of our home and look forward to working with Aldelphia Exteriors and the Koutsis Family again.

    PestNow LLC
PestNow performed a very efficient termite treatment when we bought our house about 18 months age. When we had evidence of rodent infestation we called them back. They found extensive problems and showed me photographs to confirm how bad a problem I had in both my attic and crawl space. They removed all the old, contaminated, insulation in both areas, sealed entry points and laid traps, then installed new installation. the price for all these services was very reasonable. Phil and his team were very professional and helpful, they went out of their way to ensure that everything was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I have taken out a quarterly contract with them to keep the house rodent-free.

    Zion Insulators LLC
Extremely well. Clemens came by about an hour after I sent the company an e-mail. He was able to identify that the issue was not a leak in the roof, but that the duct work in my HVAC unit had been damaged and was causing condensation to build up on the ceiling of one of our bedrooms. Perhaps most impressive was that this diagnosis meant I did not immediately need his business. To me, this is a signal that this is a company that operates with integrity. Will most likely hire them when I need to replace the insulation in my attic.

    Comfenergy, LLC
A complete disaster. They charged me over $9300 for the work, saying that the exorbitant cost was due to the expensive materials involved. Those materials looked a lot like simple foam blocks and real shredded newspaper to me. When the work was completed, there was absolutely NO change to the conditions in my home at all. Comfenergy then suggested even more expensive, invasive work, but offered it to me for free as compensation. When the details arrived by email, the generous free offer had been backpedaled to a mere 20% discount. When I complained, they came back to the house and told me that on second study, it seemed that now the work couldnt be done at all. The only compensation I got was some free foam insulation under my kitchen cabinets also a failure. And all the while Justin and John stood there in my own living room, defiantly insisting that the comfort conditions had been improved, but then finally admitting that they didnt have a clue as to where the draft was coming from. This company took full advantage of my desperation and discomfort; selling me what they intended to sell me without any real examination of the problem. They took me for $9300 in exchange for nothing. They refused to admit their complete failure to achieve any improvement or own up to the fact that they had sold me unnecessary work. In fact, over-insulating my house has exacerbated the situation, as it now keeps the heating system from running as often as it should to distribute the stratified layers of air. Living in my house is a daily nightmare now, and my only option may be to sell it at great loss. There are many other home energy solutions companies out there save yourself a lot of money and grief and find another one. I wish I had.

Great. Nafi, the owner, is an artist and expert craftsman who employs a great team but is typically on the job too. He completed the job with no problems, on schedule and on budget. His work was amazing and we enjoy it every day! Nafi helped design the project before the build, ensuring an even better project than we expected. About a year later a few floor boards were damaged and Nafi helped repair them without any problems. I recommend Home Design for all of your remodeling!

    Quality Insulation
The quality insulation team arrived on time, worked efficiently, did a wonderful job installing blown insulation in our attic, and cleaned up thoroughly.  They weren't the low bidder on the job, but we couldn't be happier with the job they did, and consider their work an excellent value.

    Efficient Attic Systems by ARS

I live in an interior townhome that suffers from the usual heating and ventilation problems:  the upstairs is hot in the summer and cold in the winter.  I sent a request for an estimate to ARS on a Sunday afternoon via the contact link on Angie?s List.  Monday afternoon, Casey called me to schedule an appointment for a free estimate for that Wednesday.  Brad arrived at the scheduled time on Wednesday and did a thorough inspection of our attic.  I appreciated Brad talking with me at my level of knowledge about insulation and ventilation, which is not all that much.  He was not rushed, didn?t take any phone calls during the inspection, and made sure I understood everything he was pointing out.

Brad provided a written estimate after the inspection.  He made sure I understood everything that should be done, why it needed to be done, and what the results would be for each improvement.  I am not an insulation or ventilation expert, but I know when someone is trying to upsell.  There was absolutely no point during my business with ARS where I felt someone was trying to upsell a product or solution.

Brad suggested I should insulate our skylight shaft with spray foam, air seal the attic floor, correctly vent two bath fans, upgrade our attic insulation to R49, and weather strip our attic access hatch and provide a batt over the hatch.  With the Angie?s List discount, the install total was $2,000.  I did a lot of research to this point, and it did not take me long to realize that not only was this a good deal, but Brad and ARS were the right people to work with.  There is a tradeoff sometimes, but not in this case.  I simply cannot recommend Brad and the Manassas branch more.

Casey called me the following afternoon to schedule the install.  Fortunately for me, there was an opening on Monday.  Identical to scheduling the estimate, scheduling the install could not have been easier.

Brad and ARS arrived as scheduled.  They are very pet friendly and mindful of parking, cleanliness, etc.  The complete install took about 3 to 4 hours to include cleanup.  And yes, the place looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived.

The results.  After looking at the temperature of the first and second floors since the install, the temperature has stabilized to a +/- 1 degree differential between floors.  Before the install, it was between +/- 13 degrees.  What I find amazing is how little our heat pump has to run to maintain a constant temperature throughout the house.  The solution set that Brad installed will obviously lower our utility bills.  More than that, every room of our home is now comfortable.  My wife and I froze during the winters and were torched during the summers.  Not anymore.

    Efficient Attic Systems by ARS
Team of 3 arrived promptly. They put down floor protection before walking upstairs. They continuously worked for about 1 hour, 45 minutes until finished. They cleaned up and asked if I'd like to take a look. I did, and then they showed me before and after pics.

    Northern Virginia Insulators
I was impressed by the depth of information the estimator provided.  After he left I felt confident that any contractor I chose, whether it was their company or another,  I would be making my decision based on knowledge which I did not have previous to the Northern Virginia Insulators coming to my home.
They did a much more thorough evaluation of my attic's status than the other companies I asked to provide an estimate. NoVa Insulators wasn't the least expensive, but seemed to be the most knowledgeable and most informative.  They were way more than two men in a truck!
The work was done efficiently and neatly.  Before they left, they explained what they did, allowed me to peek up in the attic to see the work, and demonstrated how to close my attic entrance correctly.
I would recommend this company.  As a female, I'm always impressed with any company that does work in my home and leaves me with the feeling that I have spent my money wisely and left me an educated consumer.
