He has been our eye doctor for over twenty years. They all do an excellent job. They are always professional and on time. When we have had an emergency, we were able to call them up to get right in and get help. I think the last time we went there was for an emergency for my husband and they got him right in and he explained thoroughly what was going on. My children had also gone there.

    Advanced Retina Center
After experiencing flashing white light in the peripheral vision of my left eye and followed by what looked like a huge floating black spot I looked up the symptoms an learned that my retina could be detaching. 2 months before I had a serious accident where I sustained a massive blow to the head resulting in 15 staples being placed in my head. When I went to and eye doctor I reported this in the paper work we had to fill out before the examination. I then had a thorough eye exam. The doctor there used a lot of different equipment. They even numbed my eye and put a huge lens right on my pupil and searched the entire inside of the eye. The pressure from that was incredible but at the end the doctor informed me that it had not but if I lost vision in that eye or it the vision became dark to head to an emergency room immediately. I asked if the accident could have anything to do with it. He said no. He explained this happens to people as they age. I was 56 at the time.
t After I returned home my wife wife was not satisfied so she contacted the Advanced Retina Center and made an appointment to see Dr Woo, whose credentials are as long as your arm, the very next day. My wife and I decided we would not tell them about my accident or report it in the paper work. I'd wear a baseball cap, not unusual for me since I've worn them for most of my life, but this time specifically so know no one knew I had this injury. We'd ask about the possibility of my accident causing this eye injury after the diagnosis. The next day we arrived at the center after being prepped we saw Dr Woo. He came in and did a similar exam as I'd gotten the day but his skill was so far superior that I felt no discomfort. Afterwards he said in this incredibly melodious baritone voice, and quot;Have you had a blow to the head recently?and quot; He was the doctor for us.

No issues with exam. Staff and doctors very friendly and informative. They do push a little to use their optical shop and services, but it's only a light push. I was pleased overall and plan to make them my regular eye care preference.

    Butler, Dr. Lori
I used her last July 24. She does a call when you need them. She does a usual expected exam for eye pressure and vision, and prescribes what I need for glasses when I get them. I have been able to get an appointment to get in when I have no way a lot. She is easy to deal with when you are in the office. I go back every year.

My wife and I went to have our eyes examined and current optical prescriptions validated. In the course of my wife's examination a condition was noted that required a follow-on visit - less than a week later. The examinations were extremely thorough. We were both very pleased with our visits and results.

I love this place. I have been to many, many eye doctors over the years and this one is by far the best I've been to. Dr. Thelen is amazing--warm, friendly, and really good at her job. I have terrible astigmatism, but she patiently worked with me for a very long time to find contacts that worked. I also battle dry eyes, and she had numerous suggestions to help (when other providers have brushed it off). I am amazed that after only going once a year for a few years, she remembers things about me--what I do, where I've traveled, etc. Impressive!
The office staff is professional, appointments have always been easy enough to come by (thank you for Saturday hours!!), and there is a free Keurig in the waiting area. My only caveat is not to order lenses through them--way too expensive. They happily gave me my prescription to order my own though.

The doctor (Haresh Ailani) examined both eyes for general condition and gave me some recommendations for continued home care for the cyst.  After several more days of home care it was gone.  He also had good recommendations for future care to help prevent a recurrence.

I was able to get an appointment within a week. Everyone there was very professional. The exam included eye dilation and a glaucoma test. I also did the Optovue and Optomap package (an additional $59) which I wanted because I have extreme nearsightedness which makes one more susceptible to retinal damage. The technicians who did the basic tests were very professional. The doctor who did the exam was filling in for a regular member of the practice and I thought she was very good. My prescription is just right and she took the time to explain the retina photo and answered other questions. I later had the eye dilation by a staff doctor and she was very competent and professional as well.
I went to this provider because they had a large selection of lenses listed on their website and I wanted to get the thinnest lenses possible for my prescription. I was able to get high index 1.7 no line progressive glasses which are much lighter than what I had. The optometry department is in the same location and they were very helpful in picking out frames for a strong prescription. I am happy with the glasses I got there.
The exam rooms are up a long flight of stairs - could be an issue for elderly/disabled individuals

    Sikes, Dr. Alan L
I showed up for the appointment at 9am and was in the see the doctor at 905. He asked me questions about my lifestyle and diet and took vigorous notes which we then went over. This took about a half hour because he's very detail oriented. We then went back and did the exam. I was nervous (generally a nervous person) but he put me at ease by telling me exactly what to expect. The exam part took about an hour. After the exam he made some recommendations that we went over together. I was very pleased with how the exam went and I immediately called some friends and family to tell them about him.
If you choose Dr. Sikes for an exam, plan to be there for about 2 hours because of how thorough he is. It's way different than any other exam I've done because of the scope of what he looks into.

The eye exam was very thorough and the staff is so friendly and efficient. Everything was prompt, which is always appreciated when you have a kid. Several basic eye tests were done, then Dr. Anne saw us and was very good at asking my son good questions, and her communication skills were great. She answered all of our questions. She did a contact lens fitting, and then my son worked with the staff to learn how to put them in. The staff was truly wonderful in helping my son learn how to do this, and I commend them for their endless patience and skill.
