    SGS Builders Inc.
We have had now two projects completed by SGS Builders, and the work completed by Steve Sanders, Enrique, and crew was nothing less than outstanding. Several years ago we hired Steve to remove a load bearing wall to create a large open family room. Steve completed the project in record time and it looked perfect. In Mid-2018, we decided to add 1,000+ Sq Ft to our home to create a new Kitchen, living room and dinette space all in an open concept. What I had in my head was placed into a design by Steve and built exacted as we dreamed. It has now been nine months since the project was completed and we couldn't be happier with the finished project and Steve's work. The space looks great and we have had no problems with the workmanship. Everyone who has seen our new space has the same reaction, Wow, who did this work? There were so many complexities to this project which included the removing of a fireplace, raising a portion of the house that had settled, splitting the HVAC system to install an upstairs and downstairs unit, new plumbing, fixtures, adding a new section right next to an existing pool, the list goes on and on. Steve thoroughly planned each and every phase of construction in a timely and professional manner. To add to Steve's burden, my wife and I remained in the house throughout the 120 - 160 day construction period. We made a very large investment in our home and Steve was the only one we trusted to complete such a large project. Steve has outstanding project management skills as well as his vast experience in construction will keep any project on track. Steve and his crew were onsite 1 June through Mid-September and we had zero problems with the construction or crew. The subcontractors Steve's works with he has known for years and they are very good. We have found Steve's pricing to be fair, competitive, and honest. I would not hesitate to hire SGS Builders, Steve and Enrique, again. They are outstanding to work with and we couldn't be happier with our two projects completed by Steve.

    JW Home Improvement
We've hired JW for everything from painting to plumbing, carpentry, pressure washing, outdoor and indoor work. The approach where you pay by the hour for all manner of tasks instead of parceling them out to different service companies has worked so well for us! They send the best person for your particular job. And they are consultants too...they will give you ideas on how to correctly complete projects, as well as save money when you can. We like how responsive the office is, how the owner is still involved with the day-to-day, and the quality standard that each technician applies to his or her work. And if anything comes up (as it does with home repairs and life), JW will work with you on it. We've worked with 5 different technicians and 2 different estimators for four different days of work at two different homes. Highly recommended!

The technician came as scheduled. He assessed the issue. Purchased the necessary items to complete the work and completed the work in a timely manner. The time to completion was important because I purchased a deal that included a few hours for the job. It took an extra hour because of the assessment and having to leave to go to get the materials needed for the job. It looked good but wasnt painted because it was too cold outside. Overall a good job.

He arrived on time and was polite. He assessed the wood that needed to be replaced then went to acquire the supplies at Home Depot. The 3 hours purchased included the time to go to Home Depot and return. Unfortunately, the 3 hours I secured was not enough, causing me to have to pay for an additional hour. The only reason I secured the service is because the rotting wood was too high for me to do myself. Although the work was done well, it was somewhat chilly outside and we were told that the repair could not be painted to match the window frame.

    MP Home Repair
Marcos and his team did a fantastic job remodeling our kitchen, repainting all of our interior walls and some cabinets, and performing other remodeling work around the house. His prices are unbeatable, especially given the final quality of his work. He also showed a lot of flexibility -- I'd ask him for help with minor tasks, and he'd always (happily) agree to do it. The entire work took about a week or so longer than expected, but that wasn't entirely his fault since the delivery of the kitchen cabinets was delayed. There was also some communication issues from time to time, but they got resolved in a professional manner, and Marcos always came through in the end. Overall, an excellent experience, and I'd hire him again.

    John H. Seipel
John was easy to communicated with, very knowledgeable, and expeditious. He showed up when he was expected and was competitively priced. Genuinely a nice person, he goes the extra mile. When he heard we were having concerns with other ongoing projects he investigated the issues and offered professional advise or simple corrected the problem. He was able to recommend other professionals to interview for jobs that were out of his scope. At the end of the work day all of his supplies were clean and stored tidily out of sight. We are very pleased with the work he has done and plan to use his skills in the future. We highly and happily recommend John.

    Newton's Home Services
Fantastic! It was a large project that had many complexities ... Design, material orders, special order hardware and cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing, customizations, drywall/painting, and coordinating with other speciality sub vendors (e.g. Beautiful glass shower door). The vendor worked closely with us to understand our thoughts/desires and design concepts. In the end our dream bathrooms became a reality. Amazing quality and value for the price.

    SGS Builders Inc.

SGS Builders Inc., headed by Mr. Steve Sanders, is an absolutely amazing team of skilled and friendly craftsmen who truly care about their work and pleasing their client with a first class product.  They epitomize true professionalism in this contractor-rich area.

We recently hired SGS Builders Inc. to take on a major project we had been putting off for several years.  Steve Sanders and his confederation of construction contractors made this project (we had been dreading) look almost easy.  The project was a combination of construction (turn a dilapidated carport into a first-rate garage w/new concrete flooring, finished interior, door opener, and driveway, add a three foot extension onto our existing front porch with ceiling fans and recessed lighting and slate floor, add a new slate sidewalk, and a transit window at the top of our second story staircase) and upgrades (replace architectural roofing, replace gutters, install Simonton windows, doors, Cedarboard siding, and finish with all painting and electrical work).  The cost of the entire project was well over $100k.  The project was completed in two months with no re-dos.

We received other bids, and while SGS was not the cheapest, we felt that Steve Sanders had the seasoned maturity and integrity to get it all done in minimum time and with real quality construction.  Even before we inked a contract, Steve spent his own time investigating and surveying the project to be sure he limited any surprises and his/our exposure to risk.  Steve was either on-site or readily available every single day of the contract.  He addressed each and every detail of the project and questions/concerns we had immediately and always accommodated our intentions. He ensured that there were NO dead time days except for one period of heavy rain during the concrete phase of the project.  There were contract teams on site every day.  Needless to say, we made a great choice in contracting with SGS Builders Inc. for this project.  Steve brought a crew of ?known? craftsmen who he had worked with on his many projects from 15+ years.  They were all steeped with the ?SGS Builders Way? of doing business---arrive on time, work with great skill, keep the client informed, produce a quality product and clean up each day.  Of note were his carpenters and electricians (new garage and porch construction), masons (garage floor, slate porch and sidewalk, and driveway).  Also his teams that completed the roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and painting phases were exceptional.

All-in-all, this contractor and his team exceeded our most hopeful expectations for a beautiful and functional finished product.  I do not think anyone in this area could have matched the care and concern that SGS Builders exhibited in completing our plan and reacting immediately to design changes.  We couldn?t be happier for a job well done; our money was well spent.

Got a $199 Bid Deal for four hours of rotting wood work.  Bought it by phone so got an extra $5 off.  Angies list originally wrote it up under another deal, $199 for three hours, so had to cancel that and rewrite as the 4 hour deal.  JW got in touch and showed up quickly at a convenient time and gave an estimate to replace the trim work around two garage doors (the original estimate also included trim around french doors in the back--which we decided not to do b/c we might just replace the doors).  Once we got back in touch with JW, they set up a day quickly to do the work that was convenient for me.  The handyman was to show up between 8 and 9 AM and he arrived at 8:15.  We went over what was to be done and he went to get materials at Home Depot.  He finished the work after about 4.5 hours and I received the bill for the materials and the extra half hour of labor.  He did a great job.  JW was great to work with.  I give this an A on price only because of the $195 deal for the first four hours.  If I had to pay the regular $106 per hour labor rate for the entire 4.5 hour period, it would not be a good deal on the price and I might not have used them.
