  • Limb to limb is a wonderful tree service. From the first time I talked to Don, I knew he was a professional with integrity. They did a great job and it was reasonably priced. For first time customers, they give a 10% discount! They are very skilled in their jobs and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend Limb to Limb!

  • Do not use this guy. I had a problem with the work, called him and after a few days he called me back and said he would be out to look at it. He did not show up and wasn't concerned as he was paid. I also wonder why he wants check made payable to him, not company name.

  • I've use Bamboo Tree service for 3 years now to trim our tall trees, bushes and scrubs. They are professional, timely and do excellent work. I look forward to hiring them every year to keep us keep a nicely manicured yard.

  • Gordon provided an honest opinion about a dying Willow tree in my back yard. After talking with Gordon only a few short minutes I could tell he was veteran in the business. Gordon informed me he has been in the tree business over 30 years. And he was proud to say he learned everything from his father, this is a true family business.  Gordon took the time to explain what was happening with the Willow tree and the best course of action. I went with the cutting down the tree to the trunk and leaving the cut pieces for fire wood. Gordon and his team did great work with the tree. They took their time and made sure safety was the number one priority. The ole Willow never stood a chance, now thanks to Gordon I have a great open spot in my back yard and enough fire wood to last a couple years. The work site was actually cleaner when he left than before he arrived.

I will go out of my way to recommend Gordon.... yes!

  • Carl showed up at my door unsolicited on a Saturday afternoon. He was doing work in my neighborhood and noticed the dead tree in my front yard. He introduced himself and said he saw the dead tree and wanted to know if we would like an estimate to have it removed? He was very personable and seemed knowledgeable. He quoted $100 to remove the tree down to ground level. He sad he could grind the stump for an additional $50 but said I could have him do that at a later time if I wanted (I would also need to get Miss Utility to mark incoming lines). I told him to go ahead with the tree removal. While doing so he noticed that there were some twigs sticking out of the gutters. He said he would check the gutters out to see if they needed cleaning. While doing so he found that my ridge vent had pulled away from the roof in a very significant way. Also that there were some shingles cracked at the gutter level and that a large piece of aluminum had pulled away from the ridge line. He took pictures and showed me where the repairs might be needed. I greatly appreciated his thorough review of the situation and helping me to avoid a leaking roof and potentially significant inside water damage this winter. He gave me an estimate of $200 to fix the roof issues and clean the gutters. I asked him to proceed. He and his assistant did an outstanding job, quick, professional and cleaned up very well afterwards, I would highly recommend him and his team for any tree work and home improvements you may need taken care of.

  • They came out for the estimate as scheduled and on time.  We agreed on a price and he said he'd be out in about a week or so.  I was in no hurry.  The next day I got a call and he said he could do it that day!!  They showed up with a good crew who were professional and VERY efficient!!  They had the work done within a couple hours and cleaned (mostly - left a few pieces but nothing I couldn't handle) area.  I was extremely happy and will most definately use them again as my birch trees grow like weeds:-)

  • I always attempt to get 3 estimates for any job I am going to have done.  I already had 2 and I called Service Tree Service.  I spoke to Wilbur on a Tuesday and he asked me to text him my address which I did.  A few hours went by and he hadn't showed up so I called him and gave him my address again.  He must have been in a bad area and didn't receive my original text.  He was apologetic and asked if I was still interested in him coming out and I said I was.  He came out and was professional and again apologized for not getting my earlier text ( must have been a  verizon problem).  He gave me a fair estimate and said he could do it the next morning at 8am if i was interested.  I immediately said yes.  He showed up at the agreed time with his crew.  They were professional respected my property.  They saved me a lot of time and a sore back.  My 2 year old son loves trucks and machinery and they allowed me to have him watch, from a safe distance of course, all of the action which was fun for him.  After they were done grinding the stumps they raked all of the chips into the holes and cleaned up the area.  They did a very good job.
I have never had any stumps ground up before so I assumed the entire stump was ground up from what I could initially see.  I didn't check to ensure all was gone to MY satisfaction.   THIS WAS TOTALLY ON ME, NOT ON THE CREW.  On the last stump Wilbur asked if it all looked good and I said yes.

This is for people who may get stumps ground up in the future-- use a pick, long screwdriver, or some kind of prodding device to ensure all of the roots & stump material are gone to your satisfaction prior to the grinder leaving!!!  YES I WOULD HIRE WILBUR AGAIN IN AN INSTANT!!!! ,

  • First they came and looked at our trees. They recommended the best way to trim our trees. Then they came on another day to perform the work. They were able to complete the work before we got home. They left everything nice and clean. The good price was through an Angie's list deal. They were very professional and respectful.

  • After contacting a few companies for delivery of a cord of firewood I decided to settle on this company.  When I called the gentleman told me that he could be out the next week to deliver the wood for a decent price (about the average for the area).  He assured me he only sells seasoned firewood and no large unusable pieces.  He also assured me it would be a full cord not delivered in a pick-up truck.  We settled for an early morning delivery on Thursday at 10am.  Just before 10am he sent me a text and said his earlier job was taking longer than expected and would be late.  I responded with no problem... and when can you be here.  2 hours later I got a text back saying 5pm.  I had nothing to do that say so I said no problem.  At 5pm he was not there yet so I sent a text again asking if he was coming.. he texted back about 20 mins later stating he was still running late and would be there at 7pm.  7pm came around and again he was late.  I texted him again asking if he was actually going to show up.  He replied around 7:45 stating he was on the way.  He arrived shortly there after and as promised has what seemed to be a full cord worth of wood.  Because it was already dark I was unable to verify if the wood was really seasoned or not.  They dumped the wood on the driveway as I asked and knocked off $10 for the hassle of me sitting around all day waiting for them.

The next day I inspected the wood pile and realized there were many worthless pieces which were way to large for my fireplace.  I have 7 extremely large pieces which were still attached to each other that I will need to finish splitting before using.  There were also about 20 pieces which were over 20" long.. so I will need to rent a chainsaw to process to the proper length.  My biggest frustration is half the wood is not close to seasoned.  I pulled 10 pieces out and split them down the middle to find 6 of 10 to be very wet in the center.  I used my moisture meter and took a reading of each split piece.  4 of 10 measured around 15-20%.  6 of 10 measured 60-70%.  It seems to me that at some point seasoned wood was mixed with fairly fresh cut wood.

Overall the gentleman who did finally show up were very professional and were pleasant to speak to.  I can't speak to the rest of the services they offer but I would not purchase firewood from them again.

I live in Virginia Beach, not Bristow.

  • Overall, I am pleased with the service.  As fall is a busy time of year for yard improvements, getting a quote was a little challenging.  So we opted to do the quote via pictures and set the date for removal.  My schedule is flexible, so no particular time window was arranged.  The staff showed up around noon, proceeded to remove the stumps immediately and after removal evenly distributed the chips into the surrounding soil.
