N0,Bad. First they sent a couple of guys out with canister. They told me that is what I ordered. No I did not. We have been a customer of Stilwell for at least l5 years and I told them they should have checked our files before they came. Okay. they sent a couple of more guys with the right filter...When I got the bill from Stilwell they had charged me for both trips it took a while to straighten that out. I have not called Stilwell since and am now looking for another plumber.

    TLC Services

SECOND VISIT: The first visit was great. The second visit was even better. Tommy from TLC came out with Matt. The two did a great job of completing installations, checking all appliances, and doing a number of small jobs. Tommy had given us a price of $450 to install a standalone icemaker--$250 for the water line and $200 for the box it would sit on. We appreciate that he let my husband build the box--which saved us $200.

I was a little put off at first by the $139 consultation fee on top of the cost of the actual work. However, TLC only charged that fee for the first visit. When you look at all the work that was done (and done so well!!!), TLC is cost effective and even a bargain. In addition, they have a lot of coupons (like $50 off plumbing) on the Angie's List website.

FIRST VISIT: When I had scheduled the appointment, I selected the option of having someone come out on a Saturday rather than my having to stay home from work. A consultation fee for a weekend was $139; one for a weekday was $89. TLC called back and said that the appointment would be moved very late on Saturday. We said OK and waited around. They later called and said the appointment would be on Sunday. We did not have a crisis, but it would have been nice to go out to do errands and hiking on Saturday.

On Sunday, Tommy showed up and talked to us about each of our requests. He provided a written detailed estimate. He provided recommendations of people at TLC or elsewhere who could do other items on our list. Most important, he did a beautiful job on everything. Because I have a non-standard size of pipe, Tommy did not have the right crimping tool with him. He said that I could arrange to have him come out another time to finish the job (i.e., to install the icemakers) without TLC charging me the $139 visit fee. On Monday, I called for a follow-up appointment. I was not able to get an appointment for two weeks, but the work is not urgent.

I am thrilled to have found someone as competent, professional, and honest as Tommy.

    Foley Plumbing Inc
There were numerous problems with the heating and cooling system,
which needed to be resolved. They installed the heat exhaust too close to the
output for the dryer, which by security code had to be fixed. The system created
undue noise, which had to be fixed.
This year, there was a problem with the condensation pan. It
turns out that the maker of the furnace had had a recall on that part.
Cooley/Foley did not tell us about this recall.
The furnace went out on a cold Friday night. We called all the numbers
for Cooley and Foley but no one called us back. We then called TLK, who came
out within the hour and got the unit operating again. However, TLK told us we
should work through the company that had installed the furnace (Colley/Foley)
in order to take advantage of the warranty.
I talked with Frank Foley, who discussed at length that he
had not been paid in full for his work on our house. He acknowledged that his contract
was with Westco Construction, not with my husband and myself, and that he had
provided our lawyer with a waiver stating that he had received all due monies
from us. Westco also provided our lawyer with such a waiver. My position is
that Cooley/Foley is still responsible for letting us know about warranties and
    for fixing problems.
Mr. Foley said he would send someone out to replace the pan
on the unit. He said it would take two people a day each to fix the pan. In the
meantime, TKC told us that that the furnace manufacturer had contracted with a
company to replace these pans, and provided us with the contact information.
The company contracted by the furnace manufacturer completed the work in a few
minutes at no charge to us.
By the way, we also wrote a review for TKCgiving them an A.

My previous heater was over 20 years old and rusted at the bottom. I was concerned that it would start leaking soon.  Jake ordered the appropriate size replacement and installed it within the week.  The installation and removal of the old heater took less than 1.5 hours.  He is very organized, detailed and conscientious.  He has done other work for me in the past and I have always been pleased with his work.  His prices are a little higher but I would rather pay the extra and know that I am getting someone who stands behind their work, is trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable as well.

    Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery
After 12 months and over 30 calls and emails, I gave up on their ever ordering the towel rack. I just ordered it directly online from Moen with no problems. Fergusons took up a great deal of my time. In addition, an employee of Fergusons did a backdoor deal with Westco, selling us a hottub that Westco installed and claiming it was from Fergusons. We kept asking Fergusons and Westco for the warranty and paperwork. After the hottub was installed--about a year later!--the manager finally told us that it had been a separate deal.
We had to have a separate plumber come in and adjust all the plumbing hardware, as well as to install the soap dish.

    Appleton Campbell
When I called, the person was very professional, efficient, and helpful. She offered to send out multiple people for different estimates, but I decided to just focus on the plumbing for that day. The serviceman showed up ontime (!!) and was very courteous and competent. He provided an estimate before he did the work. The work was done well and correctly. As noted above, he did not even charge me for resolving a problem due to my not knowing how to use my system (even though the system had been installed by a different company).

    Quality Water
We requested estimates and water testing around august for a new water treatment system for our newly purchased home. They came out tested the water and gave us an estimate for the cost of the new system. In October we were able to call and setup an install date. The install went great. Initially I was concerned because they suggested to use PVC pipe for the water, which can cause health issues. I explained this and that we wanted to use copper. I'm sure it was a bit more work than the PVC but I'm really grateful for Randy's willingness to keep the copper. We had a two tank system put in, an Acid Neutralizer and a Water Softener. We could have done Iron but it was negligible so we opted not to. We've been using this system for over a month now and it is great. The water isn't hard, doesn't come out brown due to the acid, and iron in the water. Really soft on the skin for taking showers and washing dishes.

They came out and did a toilet tune up. My toilet still has problems flushing. I would not highly recommend them.

I didn't really deal with them, my husband did and he seemed satisfied. He said that the guy knew what he was talking about. He was informative. He fixed the tap that was screwed on top of them.
