    Dr. Patton is wonderful! I switched to him after seeing another local dermatologist for years (one I was not particularly happy with). He is easy to talk to, thorough and proactive with treatment. My husband goes to him too, and also is pleased with his services. We do not feel rushed during appointments, and feel comfortable asking questions. He has new staff members in the office that are pleasant to deal with (previous office staff members were not very friendly). The only drawback is the length of time it takes to get an appointment, but he is usually willing to fit you if you are a current patient and are experiencing problems.

    Angie is very professional and has an excellent bedside manner. She really listens well and takes appropriate action. This firm was referred by my primary care physician and I recommend them to others with dermatology needs. I can normally get an appointment within a week and the office is a great place.

    Thus far I have had a great experience. I have additional rechecks but the prescribed therapy is working well. I cannot speak to the performance of the physicians or residents at this clinic but my general impressions are positive.

    I made an appointment to see Dr. Hurd (I waited 6 weeks to see him) but when I arrived at his office I was examined by a physician's assistant, Barbara Miller. She did not know what caused the lesions on my arm but she also refused to do a 'scraping' of the area for the lab to check. My husband went to the appointment with me and we agreed that it was a complete waste of time.
    Then I received a bill from them on 4/24/11......10 months after my appointment. I paid the amount and even observed that the payment had been debited from my account. And then, I received a letter from their office claiming I was past due on my account. The entire experience with this practice was not satisfying for me.

    She had breast cancer years prior, it was caught in time. She had also had melanoma on her nose in the past. This bump she had this time yellow bump, hard at the base. This doctor told my mother that she doesn't have cancer. He took something, busted the bump, sent her home with something to scrub hard in the shower. He said to come back in 6 weeks if she had any problems. To make a long story short, she had cancer and he had spread this around. He did surgery on April 28th 2003 after they finally biopsied this, found it was cancer. We went to the hospital the day before the surgery was scheduled. We let him do the surgery, I was in the operating room. He was trying to do a skin graft off her neck. Her skin was pretty tight. He called my mom a derrogatory name during surgery. I was in shock. I feel as though he doesn't need to have a medical license. We worked with him until September. My mother told him to refer her elsewhere. There was a malpractice and wrongful death suit filed. She went somewhere else that desperately tried to save her life but she didn't make it. It was too late.

    The nurse practioner that I saw was awful—her bedside manner was horrendous and never looked me in the eye once! She took one look at my acne, asked what soap I use, and that was it--when I told her I didn't want something with benzoyl peroxide she made me feel like I was being difficult. (I'd rather not have to buy a new wardrobe and towels due to the bleaching!) I've had acne for 15 years and I know what works and what doesn't, and she prescribed me things that I've tried in the past and didn't work! She even tried to put me on antibiotics after I put on my form that I get yeast infections from them. As far as the dry skin goes, she prescribed a steroid for my hands and told me to use a hand cream you can find anywhere and told me to wear gloves. (Honestly, if I weren't already doing that, why would I spend the money to go in there and have somebody tell me that?) She spent more time figuring out their new computer system than time figuring out what would work best for me. Total waste of money. Called and told them how unhappy I was and wanted a second opinion from somebody else in the office. They said they'd call back and I never heard from them again!!!
