    It turned out the problems were unrelated. The technician couldn't find any obvious place where the icemaker was leaking (though he was able to verify that a leak was happening). He wound up using some silicone to create a seal, and it's been working fine for 2 months now. The other problem was caused by the frost-free defrost drain being frozen. The technician spent a long time defrosting all the ice that had built up inside the back of the refrigerator. Apparently there was also a service bulletin for this model, something about the heat exchanger being hooked up properly. He made that adjustment and also installed a homemade heat conductor to keep the drain clear. Unfortunately, that hasn't completely solved the problem, after 2 months I've got the sheet of ice at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment problem again. It just happened, so I don't know whether it will be happening at 2 month intervals, or weekly again. Overall, I was satisfied with the initial service (though of course I wish the problem hadn't recurred). I haven't called back yet, I only discovered the problem just now as I was writing this review.

    Great! They managed to squeeze me in on a Friday despite a tight schedule and the repairman diagnosed the problem and fixed it in less than 30 minutes with parts that he already had in the truck. He was friendly, polite, and professional. I will definitely call them again if I need similar repairs.

    It has taken about six weeks to fix the icemaker that is still not working. The guys that come out are nice. The guys that come out are friendly. It is a breakdown with management. My grievance is with Sears Home Repair. The scheduling is bad. We had the same problem with a dishwasher.

    The service went very well. I had them repair the roof of a work shop building on my property. They also replaced some washing machine hoses in a hard to reach place and also correct some electrical switches. There was an additional fee for the extra services they did. I thought the additional fee was very reasonable. The technicians were efficient, prompt and did a wonderful job. They were very clean and scheduling was very easy. I would certainly use them again and would recommend this company to others.

    The worked seems to be of high quality. Everything he fixed has stayed fixed. He was careful and efficient.
    My one quibble is that they were not able to schedule an appointment time in advance. Basically, they give you a window of days, and then they call you that day and ask if you are available in 15 minutes. If you work, this is not convenient. The repairs took two visits, so I had to drop everything at work twice and head home to meet him.

    Joe is very attentive to his customers and he kept us continually informed about their progress.   He was great at proposing solutions to unforeseen problems and managing the myriad details and personnel involved in such a renovation.  The project was carefully and compactly scheduled and they finished pretty much as planned.  All the work was well coordinated and we ended up with a beautiful kitchen!   We especially appreciated his attention to detail, making sure that every piece of work was well done. 
    We would definitely recommend Looking Up Construction and plan to use them for other projects in the future.

    He discovered the problem, but he also found a problem with the water hookups in my rented house which could have potentially caused a flood, so I'm now waiting for the landlord to repair the hookups so Jeff can complete his job. So far I'm very impressed with Jeff's knowledge and his concern with doing top rate work. I will call Jeff back when my hookups have been repaired.

    After missing the appointment (they were to show up between 11am and 1pm) we called to see how long it would be. Blue Ridge told us the serviceman was on another job and would not make it that day. We understand that some jobs take longer and are unexpected, but we think they should have called and rescheduled. They do a good job when they show up. If you have time to waste and can take off work to just sit around waiting this is the company for you!

    Could not be happier with the outcome!! We had been dealing with a very annoying dishwasher situation for quite a few months that escalated to a point where we could not use our dishwasher. Its a higher end LG model, installed in 2009. Anyway, they were able to come out, evaluate the issues, get parts and fix everything all while being very professional, courteous and reasonably priced. Only thing to note is that when he says he'll be there between 2 and 3, its usually closer to 3. No biggie at all in my book. Would definitely call them again with another appliance issue.
