    ALL DOOR INSTALLATION INC
If you like great work from a great company...this is it. The owner was prompt in returning my call for a price quote. His quote came in hundreds of dollars below the big conglomerates quotes. FOR THE SAME DOOR! The door was a custom door. In determining the configuration and style of the windows...he photographed our house and on his IPad put various doors overlaid on the image. We decided on a completely different door than we thought. So no surprises. Angel installed our door today in about 4 hours. Flawless, flawless, flawless. Love it and love All Door Installation!

    Quality Concrete & Masonry

Tavis does an excellent job. His up-front estimate to complete the work was 2 weeks and it ended up at 9 days. He and his assistant were very consistent in their day-day schedule and once they started the job, you knew they were focused on your project and making sure you were happy with the results. You can tell Tavis cares about the quality of his work by doing the little extras. The project site was kept neat and cleaned up at the end of each day, and Tavis and his assistant were always very professional and polite. We're very happy with the results and highly recommend Quality Concrete and Masonry.

    Superior Asphalt and Sealcoating
We have had an absolutely terrible experience working with Superior Asphalt & Sealcoating. Our gravel driveway is quite long, and in some spots it does have a number of potholes, so we had been thinking of filling or at least grating it for a while now. One evening, Randy's father (whose name I don't know but who apparently co-owns the business) drove up to our house. He explained that they had just finished a job at our neighbor's house (who has a similar driveway to ours) and had some millings left over - would we like our driveway to be patched? We thought about it, and they were offering a decent price, so we agreed. The son, Randy, came over the next day and laid the fillings.
First of all, they spread the fillings very very thin, so as to maximize the square footage, and therefore what they could charge. The millings are absolutely too thin for the job to have been well done.
Secondly, the quality of the laying is very poorly done. The millings were to have been pressed and flattened, so that they form a hard crust. They are very loose, so much so that you can pick them up just like gravel. The leveling was also done poorly, so we have water puddling in our driveway in new ways that it never did before.
Third of all, they left big chunks of asphalt all over the place - on the side of our driveway, by the road, everywhere. The chunks were clearly too big to lay down in the driveway, so they just left them there for us to clean up and haul away. It will take at least 2-3 trips to the dump for us to get rid of this mess.
Finally, the customer service has been absolutely atrocious. I've been calling Randy at least weekly, and he has given me at least four different dates when they'd come out and fix the job. No fix. This was now nearly two months ago. I'm figuring that they've got their money, don't care about their reputation, and are simply out there scamming someone else.

    Kerrigan Paving
We are very pleased with the way the driveway turned out.  It took just two days to complete our driveway.  When the crew was finished with the driveway, my son told me our kitten (4 months old) had gotten out.  (My son and his friend left a door open. )  I told the men working what had happened and asked if they had seen anything.  My son came out crying, so I went to him.  The guys that were there split up and started looking for our kitten.  My son and I thought that was very sweet!  We found our cat hiding inside.  They called a few days later to make sure we were satisfied with their work.  We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

    STONEBERGER GARAGE DOORS UNLIMITED, INC.
I identified Stoneberger Garage as a company I wanted to get a quote from for my new door thru their reviews here on Angie's List.  I contacted Stoneberger Garage regarding my garage door on my newly purchased house.  The old garage door was 16x7, a typical double garage door.  However, due to the athestics of the house, the door visually appeared entirely too small.  Additionally, due to where I live, having a larger door to accomodate larger work vehicles would help as a selling feature in the future.
When I called Stoneberger, they acknowledged that they were very busy, and would not be able to do the necessary construction work needed themselves.  However, they recommended two contractors with whom they had worked previously.  I brought both contractors out, and decided on their top recommendation, Doug Heath.
I actually had to call and postpone their arrival, as I got very sick right before work was scheduled to begin, and there was no way I was going to be able to move everything around in my garage feeling the way I was.  They were very accomodating to my schedule change request, which I know is every contractors pet peeve :)  Amber, who is responsible for the office and scheduling, was very understanding.  Amber let me know that she would work on a new schedule and let me know.  Being the impatient person that I am, I called her a little early to see when they were going to arrive.  She had to schedule me out two weeks, and was concerned about my expectation that I wanted them there earlier.  I told her that since I was the one that moved the original date, I wasn't allowed to have expectations, only hopes.  Working with Amber to get the doors ordered was a breeze.  Because Doug needed to come out to price his portion of the job, Stoneberger Garage never actually game out to see the job (the opening they were working with didn't exist yet, so there was no need).  They were able to quote everything thru email and over the phone.  Amber sent me multiple photos of different types of doors, and different colors.  I never felt pressured to go with a more expensive door, or anything like that.  Truely a delightful experience.
Doug and his helper arrived on Thursday to remove the old door, remove all of the old track, and enlarge the opening to accomodate the new 16x8.5 door.  He was more than willing to reuse the old header, since it was not warped or sagging, saving me additional money.  Doug was very pleasant, and was concerned about making sure all of the debris was picked up so I wouldnt get nails/screws in my tires, etc.
The next day, Brian and his assistant Tyler arrived to install the garage door.  Doug was back as well, finishing the reinstallation of the exterior door trim that was being reused, and to reinstall the siding he had needed to pull loose.
Brian and Tyler from Stoneberger were very efficient, and very friendly.  They quickly installed the new door and installed the garage door opener.  I received instruction on how to operate the new opener.  When reviewing the final install I noticed that the carriage hinges and handles were not installed.  I talked this over with Brian, and he said that he would send someone up the following week to get them installed, since he did not have them on his truck.
They offered me two types of "hinges", magnetic and bolt on.  During their time at my house it came up that Tyler is a budding country music singer.  When I was discussing hinges with Amber, I jokingly mentioned how Tyler needed to be the one to come back and install them so he could autograph my door, for when he becomes rich and famous.
I arrived the following Tuesday, and the hinges were installed on my door.  As I approached my front door, I noticed an envelope sitting there.  Amber had gotten Tyler to sign a photograph, and sent it along with Brian when he came back to finish the job.
It is these little details that remind me why I love working with small businesses.  Stoneberger Garage is an awesome family owned company, and they go above and beyond the scope of work to make sure you are happy with the work they completed.
Thank you again to Amber and Brian Stoneberger, Tyler Toliver (check him out on iTunes!), and Doug Heath!
