They have been good at getting things done and solve the problems we have had. The fact that they are ford, the connection is so good with the mechanic and the make and model of the car. I get credits for oil changes.

One windshield wiper stopped working. Per John Couls, the entire linkage had to be replaced. Factory parts were immediately available, but the cost was going to be $420. Mr. Couls, knowing my financial difficulties, had already searched and found a unit for a more reasonable price, but it was going to take a week to get it shipped in. He laid out my options and gave me the choice. The estimate and discovery were completed the same day our vehicle was taken to the shop. We opted to wait and brought the car in when the parts arrived. The work was completed before the days end.

These guys are great. We have been using them for years. I have gone in thinking I needed new brake pads and and oil change, only to get a call that the squeaking was simply water and my brakes were fine. They are fun to work with, explain everything and don't do unnecessary work. I trust them implicitly. Andy is a great mechanic, and is always willing to give his opinion and advice. Love this place.

I took my 1999 Porsche Boxster to Curry's because they came so highly recommended. I had previously taken it to the Chantilly center for a brake change and they were pretty good. My Boxster started making a strange noise and I needed it checked out. At first, everything was great. They put the car up on the lift and the mechanic really got into finding the source of the noise. However, I should have known something was amiss when the main tool he was using to find the problem was a stethoscope with a long stem on it which he placed against different parts of the undercarriage/engine. The first diagnosis was the water pump. The water pump was replaced and the noise was still there. The next diagnosis was the clutch. An entire new clutch assembly was put in, but the noise remained. The mechanic who did the work was about to have a new child born and would be off for a bit, so I decided to wait until we could look at it further. A week later, while driving normally down a back road the engine seized up and would not start again. I called Curry's to talk to them and the mechanic that worked on it, but mysteriously that mechanic was no longer employed by them. I had the car towed to the garage from Charlottesville where it had broken down and showed up to talk to the management. You would have thought I had leprosy. They didn't want to discuss the situation and put a sign in the seat warning employees not to touch the vehicle. I returned a few days later with a trailer and took my dead Boxster home. I got more of the same treatment for the guys there. In speaking to a local mechanic that works primarily on Volvo's, he stated that a service bulletin was issued a while ago regarding the tensioner on the timing chain in my year Porsche Boxster. How this guy knew about it and the "specialists" at Curry's didn't, seems very strange to me. I think they had a really bad mechanic, who didn't really know what he was doing and ended up getting fired. I was the victim of shoddy work, and a personnel matter that Curry's didn't even have the decency to be honest about.

They just did a great job. The analyzing and diagnosing of the car was reasonable. They smoke in there which is not good but they're competent that I don't have to go to the garage.

It's local and we trust them. They have always been the same since we moved here seventeen years ago. The prices are reasonable and they're right down the street.
