    Collins Siding and Windows Inc
Excellent job. The contractor worked with me on the schedule to ensure replacement windows were complete before starting their work. Crews showed up as scheduled and worked diligently until complete. Follow-on gutter crew showed up the day after the wrap was complete. They cleaned up all construction debris on a daily basis and left the job site clean when complete.

    Bob Riddick Home Services Inc
Very well. Was repaired during a very busy time for Riddick Roofing. Owner (Bob) contacted me personally regarding delays making sure temporary repair was holding. By far they are the best roofers in the region. Great office staff and skilled professionals

The Brothers That Just Do Gutters
Installation of gutter guards were satisfactory.  The gutter installation was marginally executed due to: installation of the pop outlets without attaching them to the gutter or caulking to prevent leaking; the gutter leaked when raining; and the manner in which the drip edges were cut and roof decking was left exposed. Contacted the company and met with the owner; discussed the issues and explained my concerns regarding the poor manner in which the drip edge had been cut and marred as well as the manner in which the drip edge corners had been cut and peeled back exposing the roof decking material to the elements.  Nothing was ever scheduled to fix the problem areas. Concerned, I subsequently climbed on the roof, took pictures of the problem areas and sent an email to the company. No one contacted me until I received an email stating an appointment had been scheduled for a repair the next day. Workers arrived and they told my wife they were there to check out her husband's complaints. The company never acknowledged their mistakes; for some reason, the workers made it seem like this was my fault. The subsequent repair to the drip edge is hopefully functional and looks terrible. The workers took pieces of flashing and screwed them into the opening of the drip edge and then just caulked the heck out of the area . . . During latest rain storm, the gutter is still leaking at one 90 degree corner. I am almost to the point of hiring another contractor to remove the gutter this company replaced and install a new one. The last point regarding the contractor -  I had specifically told the estimator to make sure the workers were careful not to damage the boxwoods along my driveway. The owner later acknowledged these instructions were in the site-specific notes for the job. However, on two occasions (the initial work date then the follow-on date to install the gutter), the workers backed into the yard and ran over the corner of one of the boxwoods breaking its branches . . . I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but those boxwoods are over 60 years old; that is why they are as big as they are and cannot be readily replaced. I have had a landscape company provide an estimate of $600 just  for the plant because of its size. And that is why I specifically requested care be taken to prevent any damage.
I am including some before and after pictures. My main thought - take a look at the before pics and notice how much damage a good rain could have caused on my roof structure if I had not climbed on the roof, took pics and asked them to come back and fix it. No customer should have to do that; it should have been right the first time.

    Alex Ertel Construction Inc
    1.  Removed two layers of old shingles, repaired/ replaced damaged plywood, sealed chimney, and installed new GAF shingles all in one day.  Roof was over 2400 sq ft.  At the completion of the job, his crew members went around the perimeter of my home with a large magnet to pick up any stray nails that may have fell in my yard during the demo process. Very happy with the price, quality of work, and the professionalism.

    Enquist Enterprises Inc.
The owner of the company,Justin Enquist, is excellent to work with. My ideas of quality work and his were both the same. He personally went to the roof shingle supplier to get a half dozen samples of shingles to match our house shingles, which are no
longer being made. The building sub contracters that he hired to do the framing and roof were very good as well as the cement
sub contractors who did the cement floor slab work. There was a fair bit of trouble getting a brick layer to build brick bases around
the bottom of the six support posts. A brickwork sub contractor was finally engaged to do work after a couple of weeks time. The
bricks and mortar that were used however did not match the brickwork of our house.
I had to contact a contractor who specialized in Brick Tinting to correctly match the brick color to the house and I acid bleached
the mortar myself. The brick tinting was quite expensive. I contacted Mr. Enquist and told him about the brick tinting cost and he was
agreeable to a final payment adjustment to cover the cost.

    Dollman Construction, Inc
In early 2014, I moved to Bedford county from Maryland and purchased an older house. I needed some major work done and was unfamiliar with any contractors in the area. I consulted the yellow pages and found Dollman Construction. I called them to evaluate the project and requested an estimate. Mr. Dollman met with me at the job site and we reviewed my needs. I purchased a 36x30 steel building in February, but needed a contractor to erect the building. Not only was the building erection needed, but this job required foundation drawings, removal of several large trees, excavation of the site, building approval and permit by the county for the design of the building and accompanying lot, as well as insulation and electrical work which were not originally included in the plans. Mr. Dollman's company was able to work with my needs as changes in the plans indicated. All work was completed by Dollman Construction, from the foundation for the building to completing the parking lot outside the garage. The building was quickly and professionally erected, with concrete pads and extra large garage doors.
The house we purchased had significant water damage by a door off the side of the house.  Construction of a new porch area and repair of the damage was next.  The company built a new porch and now this is my favorite entrance and exit into the house. The carpenters made improvements to the area so no new water damage would occur in the future.
The roof was twenty years old, and needed to be replaced.  Mr. Dollman's company was fast and efficient replacing the roof.  A steep A-frame house with skylights over a sunroom and edges which overlooked a steep incline with nowhere to deposit the old shingles presented a significant challenge to the roofers.  The roofers were able to finish the job in ONE day, including clean up of the area. Great care was take to avoid damage from the workers to any structures or landscaping plants.  The onsite supervisor of the work crews is knowledgeable and always available for questions and concerns.
The cost of this work was around ninety thousand dollars, but the work is professional and the employees are polite and conscientious. I am quite pleased with Dollman Construction and have already spoken to Mr. Dollman regarding other projects I need to complete. I could not be happier with the work completed and highly recommend Dollman Construction to anyone looking for a contractor.
On another note, the point of contact in the office is Crystal. She is very polite, friendly and dependable. A rare gem. Kudos to Dollman Construction.

    Sentry Exteriors
We were just going to this company for gutters. The salesman ended up selling us all of the above mentioned services. The roof over the house started leaking in the spring with all of the rain. The company came back and sealed our Dish antenna. This was supposed to have been removed before putting on the roof, but they never removed it. I have found out from other contractors that the antennas are to be removed before roofing work is done. They claimed that they would paint the ceiling of the room that had the water damage. At the same time, we noticed that our porch was separating from our house. Originally we were told that the porch overhangs would be on separate beams that would be in the ground with concrete. They placed the porch overhang on our existing railings, which obviously could not support the weight. After calling numerous times, they came and claimed that they fixed the problem. And now, the porch is worse than before and is still not supported by beams in the ground. They also never painted the ceiling, they only painted the water spot damage.

I have also found out from other contractors that this was the worst roofing job that they had seen. I called the company for 2 weeks with no reply to my phone calls. Finally, I was told that they were not going to do anything about it. I guess it is off to the Better Business Bureau and small claims court.

Update to company response**** They did replace the steps which they did not need to do. As of levied handrail and replaced boards, it may not have been apart of their original scope but they were the ones who screwed them up. No roofing issues had not been inspected by anyone but them. I have had other companies come out and tell me that they did a terrible job. The satellite dish was not removed to my satisfaction. Instead of unscrewing it, they removed it with a crowbar, which may make my roof leak in the future. We are absolutely not satisfied clients! I had to threaten them the owner of the company with small claims court before I even got a return phone call.

    All Washed Up Inc
House had not been professionally cleaned since built in 92.  Service personnel  were a half hour later than scheduled due to obtaining required cleaning chemicals - owner called  an hour before their scheduled time to inform me of this.  Work done was excellent.  Service folks were courteous, professional and in uniform.

The utility company by chance was cutting the growth from their power lines the same time as our appointment was and we were without power for about 3 hours.  Workers worked around this issue.  They were extremely careful in washing off  spray from nearby plants and left the property in better shape than when they arrived (ie, rolled up our hoses, etc).

Plan to use the company when our deck needs cleaning and would recommend to others.  House and roof look new!  I imagine I could have done a little better on cost with someone else but sincerely doubt the results would have been as good.

American House Wash & Wood Care
First we called a number of this areas pressure washers for an estimate. Only American House Wash agreed to do the roof, and if he had time to do the entire roof and house in one day we would get a better price.
