    KDK Home Improvements LLC
Kdk did a great job renovating our half bath into a full handicap bathroom. They installed a handicap toliet and shower, tile, flooring, lights. It has been great for my father in law who had a very hard time getting up and down the stairs to take a shower. He was very professional, outgoing, and finished in a timely manner. It was a lot of work but they did excellent work. I am very satisfied with the work and I am looking forward to working with them for future renovations.

The owner and helper were very professional. They worked with us on payments, and completed the job earlier than expected. They were very professional and take pride in what they do. We are already working on getting pricing to remodel the rest of the house! I would highly recommend using KDK in the future!!

    C & G Plumbing & Htg Co
I had several issues I had "let go" for a long time.  Chris checked out all of my concerns and repaired everything.  He replaced my kitchen faucet with one in stock that he recommended.  Its very nice and around $15 less than the same model at retailers I shopped around at.  Very punctual and professional.

The positive of this whole experience was that the workers were very good at their craft and the end result is just what we wanted.  Beyond that, this company is a nightmare.  They are sorely lacking in management and communication skills.  Things started off well enough for our project on April 4.  A crew arrived at 7 a.m. to install the recessed lighting and begin work on the floor.  On April 5, the crew worked from 7 a.m to 7:30 p.m.  The whole day was spent on the kitchen floor as they found that the floor was not level and had to be shored up before they could lay the cement board.  This extra work cost us an additional $3,900 beyond the original contract amount which we thought was very high but paid it anyway.  On April 7, the crew worked from 10 a.m. until noon and laid the cement board in the laundry room.  On April 8, no one showed up and no one called.  Work was done on April 9, 10, 11, 12 to finish the flooring and install the cabinets.  So for the first week of the project, things were going along fairly smoothly and then things started going sour.  On April 14, the project manager came to measure for the granite countertops and told us they would probably have the granite before the week's end to install.  While waiting for the granite, other things could have been done as the lighting was not completely finished and some adjustments were necessary for the cabinets.  However, for the remainder of the week, there was not a single bit of work done on our project.  The project manager called on Thurs. of that week to say that the granite would be installed on the following Monday but gave no explanation as to why nothing else was done in the meantime.  On Monday, the crew arrived to install the granite only to find out that the project manager had measured incorrectly and so nothing was done.  We were told it would probably be Thursday before they would be back.  I sent an e-mail to the project designer expressing my frustration with the recent lack of work and the granite error.  He did call back and apologized.  On Thursday, the workers returned and installed the granite.  However, even though the granite was cut from the Ivory Fantasy slab that we had chosen, it had none of the colors that we wanted.  Prior to this, we had been asked to come to the showroom to pick the slab and were en route to do so but received a call saying they did not have the granite slab there!  Prior to installation, they sent an e-mail picture of the slab asking if it looked OK.  We could not tell much from the picture but told them that what we wanted was just like the slab on the counter they had in their own showroom which had lots of gold and white accents.  The slab that was installed had blue and gray accents.  We let them know that we did not like the granite and in the meantime we started exploring other options to replace the granite.  The project manager said they would return on Monday but no one showed up on Mon. or Tues.  We called and went back to their showroom to pick out a different slab of granite.  Of course, we had to pay additional for this and negotiated a discount on the price.  We were then told they would come on Fri. or Sat. to install the new granite.  In the meantime, nothing else was done on our project and no one showed up on Fri. or Sat.  We called the project manager who said they would finish everything on Mon. or Tues.  On Monday, the granite was installed but nothing else was done.  We were told they would install our backsplash on Tues. but when no one had shown up by noon, we called and were told that someone would be there at 4 p.m. but no one ever showed up.  On Wed., Thurs. and Fri. workers arrived to complete our project but still had details to finish up after that.  No one came on Sat. or Mon.  We called and did not receive a response even though we left messages.  On Tues. (we are now up to May 13 and 6 weeks into a project that we were told would take 10 to 14 days to complete), we e-mailed the designer to tell him we would finish the project ourselves and were done with this company.  The designer immediately called back to dispute this and we hung up on him.  He then called on Wed. to promise us that our project would be finished on Friday.  In the process of finishing our project on Friday, two of the cabinet doors were damaged and new ones had to be ordered.  The doors arrived on Memorial Day and left on our front porch as we were not at home!  After much back and forth, a worker arrived on Thursday, May 29 and our project was finally finished.  I did forget to point out that we did all the demolition ourselves.  So after 6 weeks, we have our kitchen and are happy with it but we would NEVER deal with this company again!
