    The contractor they sent over found the problem to be the water tank. We needed a new water tank. TotalProtect refused to pay for a new water tank because they claimed that water tanks in refrigerators were not covered because the refrigerator was still functioning by keeping food cold. But this refrigerator also dispenses water and ice and those functions did not work because of the leaking water tank. They also claimed it was listed in the exclusion in contract but my contract contained no such exclusion. I asked to speak with a manager they said the manager would call me back within 24 hours but never called at all. The fees were expensive as well. I had 2 homes protected thru these people and I canceled both accounts. I picked a new home warranty company listed in a Top 10 list I found online.

    The washing machine is still broken after more than a month. It takes more than an hour to get to someone on the phone with an AHS representative. And once they respond, they do not offer good customer service. This is a very expensive warranty, so you would expect them to offer good customer service, unfortunately that is not the case. I have called them 4 or 5 times to help me work with the contractor, who hasn't been able to solve the problem. I asked if I could be assigned to a different contractor because the contractor was being rude with us, has not fixed the issue, and takes a long time to respond to our calls. Unfortunately, AHS responded that it is not possible to change contractors. AHS did not offer to help solve the conflict with the contractor. I even tried to send a written complaint, but they don't even have an email or physical address where you can send your comments. Once one of the multiple requests I opened was closed (not solved), I received a survey asking about my experience. I explained what had happened to me, but I never received a message or a call back asking me about what had happened. I've been a customer of AHS for 7+ years, and I'm very disappointed with the service.

    I've had several issues that required repairs. Twice the repairs were not done correctly. Having to resolve an issue I've had to be on hold for over 40 minutes on many occasions. All hours of the day and into the evening if you want to talk to somebody you will have to be on hold for very long periods of time. I'm investigating switching to another company service providers they select are very poor performers.

    Old Republic Home Protection provided me with the company information as well the work order to get the services that would be needed to service my home with a reputable HVAC company.  I was very satisfied with the company as they provided excellent service to remedy the thermostat problem.
