    Mclean Animal Hospital
Great! Dr. Clark, was very professional in that, because my 3 yr old Lab has great fear of hospitals, perhaps due to being vaccinated twice on same day by another hospital, which led to vomiting, more hospitals, and more vaccinations,, As such, as soon as puppy, since it was first time at Mclean Hospital, sensed it was a hospital he started shaking, and turned around. I asked Dr. Clark to come outside, and examine pup outside and asked him to prescribe and antibiotic, which he refused. He was able to calm puppy a bit, and we went inside hospital, Dr Clark took half hour of thorough physical examination, and advised that no antibiotic at this time, since such infection should go away within a week. He was right on the money! Very thankful to him for that. Contrast this to another hospital where puppy was taken for one of its early routine shots and vet surprised me by sending another vet in her place, and such vet, however pleasant, surprised me even more by advising the rabies shot at this time. Not only , in my unprofessional opinion puppy was barely over the age to administer vaccine, I am a believer in not :"nuking" a pup on same day with multiple shots, evidenced by the outcome, that within 2-3 days pup started vomiting, which recently I discovered that such was a side effect. At that time, the owner of the Hospital stated to me, that the vomiting and the shots were unrelated.. eg she was telling me it was a pure coincidence, never mind, that puppy had not vomited previously. As such, we not longer took put to that hospital, and started taking pup to Blue Mt. Animal Hospital in Luray, Va, , yes, quite a ride, but there, ANOTHER , DR CLARK, WAS EXCELLENT WITH BOTH OF MY PUPS. , SINCE MY NEW NEIGHBOR WORKS AT MCLEAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL, SHE INTRODUCED ME TO SUCH HOSPITAL AND AS SUCH, AS ALLUDED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE REVIEW I TOOK THE LAB THERE FOR HIS INFECTION, AND THE WONDERFUL, ALSO NAMED DR CLARK, EXAMINED THE LAB , REFUSED MY REQUEST FOR ANTIBIOTIC WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE CORRECT, SINCE THE PUP IS DOING GREAT AFTER THE VISIT, RATHER THAN BEING SICK AS IN PREVIOUS CASE ALSO ALLUDED ABOVE. IT REMINDS ME OF A CAR THAT I HAD, THAT HAD NO ISSUES, EXCEPT AFTER TAKING IT TO A SHOP FOR MAINTANANCE, AND 90% OF THE TIME, I LEFT THE SHOP AND CAR HAD ISSUES, LENGTHY REVIEW, AND CAPS, BUT I HOPE IT HELPS.

Dr. Adam & Dr. Fiona are amazing. They have helped my family through the loss of two dogs. Their compassion was memorable. They have an obvious love for animals & and understanding of how pet owners feel. My family could not ask for better care. They are not only excellent doctors but also good people.

They're very empathetic. They're very caring. They spend a lot of time with you and the pet. Their prices are not cheap, but I don't think any good vet is. They give excellent care. I'm very pleased. She gets several check-ups. She's called in for annual vaccinations and various things once or twice a year. She takes a medicine for arthritis that requires her to have a blood drawl done every quarter. A mini check-up is involved when you do a blood drawl. Whenever she goes to a kennel she has to have a Bordetella vaccine to prevent kennel cough and other things. She easily goes in 8 times, maybe 10 times a year. She has issues that require consultation and attention.

I used them through a group-on for a cleaning. My dog needed extractions, he was in bad shape, so it ended up costing about a thousand bucks total. They told me up front, they did an evaluation before hand, so they did warn me before, which is nice because I had an opportunity to go somewhere else if I needed to, or knew what was coming my way. They gave me an estimate that was pretty accurate after they did an evaluation, they told me we would have all these extractions. Pricing not good. The service was really good, I like that they warned me, they are very organized and timely.

They seem to specialize in that level of care. They don't do simple grooming. They do the more complicated stuff. They're primarily special exams in surgical stuff. They do do rabies stuff. They do spay and neutering. They clean and extract teeth, a lot of lab work on animals. That seems to be their specialty. They also do general wellness exams also but they also seem to specialize in the more difficult things. They do a wonderful job. They take a lot of care for the animals. They are very reasonably priced for the level of care that they provide. They'll work with you about pick up times and drop off times. They keep in touch. They left messages, like they told us he was finished and he was recovering and resting. They let us know right away that he came thru the procedure. They're very good at all of that. They do some really complicated stuff and they're not out to break the bank. Like any hospital situation, they make sure they make an appointment far enough in advance to make sure they are going to have time to get to the animal. They say they are going to do the surgery on this day and it's done on that day and then they are out. They give you a guesstimate on how long it's going to take and when it's going to be done and they are usually right on the mark.

I use them all the time. They are responsive to my needs. They make room for appointments if I am concerned about something. They will accommodate me almost every time. They have a very good relationship with the pets and they manage to calm them; they treat them very kindly, considering the stuff they are doing to them. They are all great with my pet.

    ST CHARLES ANIMAL HOSPITAL
fortunately used coupon for visit to examine pup that was limping on right side. sch scheduled operation, then i researched operation, and it appeared to be about 50% succesful. pros and cons weighted, i decided to cancel since wife thought it was not bad enough, eg stage 1, and wait till stage 4 eg when we have no alternatives and pup is older and maybe slow down since if we operated 2 yrs ago, i do not see way that pup would not undo what vet did. in any case, after we cancelled operation, pup stopped limping. 2 weeks later limped on front leg. then that stopped. 2 years later no issue. i am not a pro, have not seen all these. it appears to me the vets should have seen all these. in all fairness to vet, other vets recommended surgery as well, although one did say, "he may outgrow it:" which he did.

    Banfield Pet Hospital
It was a series of three visits. He had three different set of bacteria in his ear. The first trip got rid of the first two bacteria. The third bacteria would not get out of his ear. He is a Labrador, and they are prone to ear infections anyway. Our seem more prone than normal. That came with medications each time. They are awfully nice people. You have to be to work with animals. They are nice, they care about the dog. They are very upfront about the services they offer and what they cost. You can choose to do one or the other, or all of them, or none of them. They are good about informing you about what is going on.They are unpredictable. The are often late, but its understandable why they are late.

their very good. Our cat is a nervous cat. They were gentle with her. She was trying to creep away. They kept pulling her back. They knew how to subdue her, with giving her shots, so she would not get hurt. I should see hold her, not subdue.

    Critterfixers Mobile Veterinary Care
I took my pet to Dr. Marisa Gerth. She was great because she explained things to me that no Veterinarians has. Critterfixers is a mobile vet thing that she runs. She comes to your home where the pets live and she brings her doctor bag. If we ever got another pet she would be the first person we would go to.
