I see him for endocrinolgy care. He monitors my diabetes.

He knows what he is talking about and has been in the business quite some time. The doctor that my wife works for goes to him for endocrinology care and refers people to him.

office visits

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease by my primary care physician and was referred to Dr. Sabarinia. I had three office visits ($25.00 copay each) before he finally put me on medication. He doesn't have any staff except a receptionist so he performs all the regular tests himself (i.e. blood pressure, heart rate, weight etc). He is an assistant profeessor of medicine at Georgetown Univeristy and his primary practice is located in Arlington, Va. I see him in Manassas. He doesn't ask many questions, but instead relies on the patient to tell him everything about how they are feeling. For a new patient, this is difficult because you aren't sure what information is relevant or not. As my condition requires little maintance at this point, I will probably continue to see him for the one appointment a year but if I need to go more frequently, I might switch.

Dr. Saberinia is my mother’s endocrinologist who is monitoring her thyroid. He is the doctor who referred her to radiology. He checks her once every 6 months, and does some blood work. Her thyroid levels haven’t been doing right, and so he has been monitoring her more often. She now goes to him once every 3 months.

He is hysterical - he always calls my mom, who is 86, a young lady. He does a thorough exam. He calls with the test results himself which I don’t think a lot of doctors do. He even helps pull my mother up and lay her down when it is required. He couldn’t increase her medication to keep her thyroid under control because that would have affected her liver. So he scans to check if it needs to be irradiated or not. He doesn’t go into a lot of detail about what he is looking for but he has kept a close watch over her. My daughter was 13 when it was discovered that she has polycystic ovarian syndrome, and now she is 23. She had not been tested for years, and so I had him retest her, and he has put her on a different birth control. He has done a little bit more aggressive treatment for her which has helped her a lot.

I go into him for a thyroid condition. He is an Endocrinologist.

It has been lovely. He himself, has called for mom to tell her the results, not the nurse. He is really sweet and nice to her. The office here is brand new and clean. His Arlington office is very nice also. His staff is very responsive. He checks up on us.
