I made the appointment with no problem. The front office staff were friendly and helpful. Nobody asked about dental records from my previous dentist, so that was a red flag. I had X-rays taken of my teeth. It had been just over a year since my last dental appointment, so no problem there. The cleaning was fine. Dr. Kohli, the dentist, came and looked at my teeth, and spoke with me for a minute or two. She said I had 8 cavities that needed filling, and showed me a treatment plan that cost over a thousand dollars. She did not show me my X-rays - another red flag - just pointed to a diagram on her computer, showing me where the teeth needed fillings. While I was still in the chair - a final red flag - a clerk came and showed me a schedule for the treatment plan: 5 cavities on one visit, 3 cavities on another. She offered to schedule me. I said, let me go home and check my calendar. On my way out, I asked for copies of my X-rays. The staff emailed the images to me promptly. I called my previous dentist, Dr. P, (who doesn't treat young children) and asked him to give me a second opinion. I sent him my X-rays, but he decided he had to do new ones anyway. He showed me - on the X-ray - where Dr. Kohli's treatment plan proposed to remove fillings Dr. P had installed not 15 years ago. Dr. Kohli never mentioned this to me: only that I had cavities that needed to be filled. I understand that some people think the mercury in older fillings can be a problem. Whether or not that is the case, Dr. Kohli should have told me she was planning to remove existing fillings. She should have explained her reasons for wanting to do so. She should have discussed with me the relative risks of keeping versus removing the fillings, and allowed me to make an informed decision. That she did not is alarming, at least. I can't help but feel like she tried to trick me into agreeing to dental work -- painful, expensive dental work -- that I do not need. I cannot imagine trusting her with my care again, much less my child's.

Great! The children's area is a group room - there's like 4 chairs but at that age, they don't mind. They treat my son well, and speak to me like and adult, which I appreciate. No pushing for xrays or anything odd before needed, which is nice. My son gets a suprise at the end and a toothbrush and now LOVES going to the dentist. The facilities feels modern. I'm tempted to switch dentists and go here myself.

The multi-step treatments recommended and implemented by the dentist for the problem were effective. I was given clear and thorough instructions for the daily care that was my responsibility. As a result the periodontal disease has almost completely healed. (I have another follow-up examination at the end of October.) Treatment and care was efficient, skilled, and friendly, and all the staff worked hard to minimize any discomfort. I particularly appreciated this office's detailed enumeration of their charges and the amount my particular insurance typically covered, so I was able to know at the first visit what my likely out-of-pocket costs would be. I continue to be pleased with the quality of care and overall professionalism of this office.

    Stiglitz, Dr. Michael P.
Dr. Stiglitz is a superior periodontist and has a great staff. I've been going to him for almost 20 years and receive regular cleanings at his office. He has kept my teeth healthy and strong.

I was able to see Dr Klein within a week who then recommended a root canal. As much as I hated to have a root canal, it needed to be done. Both Drs Klein and Dr P were very professional, took the time to explain to me all procedures (the permanent crown that came with the root canal!), and took their time to do the job right. One of my better dental experiences, ever! I highly recommend them.

    Gouldin, Dr. Garrett A
Dr. Gouldin and his staff saw me several times in preparation for my oral surgery, and were very good about explaining the process and making sure that my insurance coverage was well understood so there were no surprises.  I hope to not have any problems again that would require my seeing them, but they certainly did do a very good job.

Very impressed with Dr. Rose who was highly recommended by a long time Periodontist from out of state where I resided prior to moving to Maryland. The dental hygienist provided the cleaning and care instruction. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, asking al the right questions and providing guidance on continued effective gum care.

    Stiglitz, Dr. Michael P.
I first went to Dr. Stiglitz in 1992 to have stitches removed from periodontic treatment received from an out-of-state periodontist. Dr. Stiglitz was able to assume responsibility for my care and I have visited him every three months from 1992 to present. My treatment now consists of dental cleaning, after which Dr. Stiglitz ensures the continuing health of my gums and teeth. The dental cleanings I receive in Dr. Stiglitz's office are far superior to any I have received. His office is very professional and friendly. I am happy to report that I have not had a cavity in the past 23 years.

    Arlington Center for Dentistry
I have been going to Arlington Center for Dentistry for several years. I have always been able to get a Saturday appointment, and I appreciate that the office sends an email reminder the week of my appointment. The facilities are new, clean, and modern. All of the staff are friendly and professional. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes before being seen by a dental hygienist. The office is close to Clarendon metro.

The dentist was good, however, I will not go back to his practice because it is so pushy about selling more and more services, many of which are not reimbursed by insurance. They were calling, sending text messages, really wouldn't let it go. I understand the need for a business to make money, but really, they were FAR too pushy trying to get me to replace fillings, come in so they could and quot;check onand quot; their work. Also, they do not bill instrance companies. YOU pay, and then you submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Their pushiness drove me away.
