    Thomas Custom Builders Inc
We are very happy with our addition and the quality of the workmanship. It was a large job that required frequent communication with the county for permits and inspections, and TCB took care of all of it. The architect (Rob) designed an addition that really fit in with the existing house, and was very open and responsive to changes that we wanted. Dave and Brian were our contact people for the job, and we always found them responsive, helpful and professional. Of course with a job this big there were small problems along the way, but the important part was Dave and Brian always listened, responded quickly and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. We have a 1920's bungalow, and TCB was able to match the woodwork from the old section to the new, and we are especially happy with the craftsmanship and finishing. We get tons of compliments from friends and neighbors we don't even know. We highly recommend TCB!

They up sold me with the wheels that goes into the track and then now both garage doors is not working, he just came back, increased the power on the motor of the garage door. keeps on giving us series of explanation on why the doors is not working. He was trying to up sell me again for a new motor which I already declined previously. He came back, finally he had tightened the screws and decreased the tension on the springs and put it back the way it was used to be, now the doors are working properly. He was actually intentionally tightening the springs and increasing the tension to make the motor not work properly and eventually burn out. Every time I would explained, he would always over talked and cut me off and not allow me to finish

Recently our garage door stopped opening as it would only move up less than 6 inches and then closed back down immediately. I was able to diagnose that both side pulley cables were detached so I re-attached them but to no avail, the door still did not open more than 6 inches before closing back down. Afterwards, I saw that the garage door torsion spring looked to be broken (see broken spring pics) and after doing some quick research I saw that this was the problem in most cases. Sam was able give me a direct estimate of $295 to replace the single spring with a double spring replacement, better for the balance and load-bearing of the weight over the long term for a 2-car wide door and the price difference was only $50 more ($245 for a single spring replacement). This also included a 5 year warranty. After scheduling yesterday around 5pm, the tech, James, came out today around 2pm, removed the broken spring, replaced with 2 springs on each side (see final spring setup pics), reset the side pulley cables, balanced the door and was done by 3pm and shared some basic maintenance tips every 6 months to keep the garage doors in good working order. The doors sound even smoother and quieter than before when opening than the previous spring, but most importantly, the door works again Very professional, highly recommend!

This company was the only one among the top five rated in Angie's list to actually answer the phone when i called. All the others required me to leave a message and wait. More importantly, they were able to provide a same day appointment. The service guy, Maurice, was actually ahead of schedule and asked if he could come earlier (when does that ever happen). He diagnosed a minor repair and did not try to up-sell me. I asked him to perform a tune up on both garage doors which he did immediately. Now they are both operating smoothly and quietly. This project is checked off my list now.

    A-1 Garage Door
I can't speak to price, because I didn't get multiple bids, but A-1 was the first to respond, was able to come provide an estimate quickly, and provided us helpful information on options. We're very happy, and would use again!

    Boss Design Center
When our 19 year old son suffered a severe spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed from the neck down on 1/28/15, we didn't have to look much further than our own back yard to find a highly skilled and professional group at Boss Design to put a new addition on our home to accommodate our son. From the initial plans to allow for handicap access to the detailed craftsmanship the crew at Boss Design maintained constant communication and courteous behavior as to our needs. They really cared to discuss options for access with our son that was injured and our family throughout the process. Seans attention to detail and consistent presence each day made for an accurate timeline for completion as well as working to make everything best. Sean worked tirelessly with vendors and contractors that had generously donated to our family during this tragedy to make the best use of product and services to assist in our costs. The staff was very personal and caring of our son's privacy--they became part of our family during a time of challenge with great support, communication, and fantastic work to help our new life needs. Addition to home for handicap accessible need. Preparation, design, planning, selection and project management assistance for large scale addition. Demolition and relocation of A/C unit, vents, gas line, landscaping, basement wall. Excavation of yard and pour of concrete footings for addition and foundation, framing, structural, support, roof, re-framing of multiple areas post demo. Insulation and drywall, siding, roofing, gutters as well as windows, doors and attention to detail. Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical details. Bathroom made to accommodate handicap accessible wheelchair, fixtures, cabinet, granite, tile work done exceptionally. Bathroom tile work, trim and solid oak flooring installed. Carpet installed in lower level. Elevator medical lift support and housing details to exact detail for equipment installation. Worked tirelessly to clean and communicate throughout this project to allow for our family to maintain a sense of normalcy all while meeting and exceeding our expectations!

Terrific, we decided to go w/ Stoneberger because their sales representative spent time advising and guiding us through the options, the colors and styles of doors. She listened to what we thought we wanted and helped us find the right solution. No other sales rep we met with offered that customer service. She also followed up on time and was super easy to work with once we decided on specific doors. Installation also was on time, efficient and went very smoothly. We had one issue that arose b/c of the age of our house and Stoneberger addressed it quickly and beyond fairly. Highly recommend them.

    Pop's Garage Doors
Very positive experience with Pop's. Easy to reach. Easy to schedule an appointment that worked for MY schedule. Service was prompt and thorough. Turns out our existing opener is just wearing out because it's not the strongest and has been lifting a very heavy door for a while. A new and stronger opener is in our future, but not yet. When the time comes, Pop's will be the one installing it. Price quoted for new installation seems very fair.

It was okay.  Both the door openers, I don't know, we've had some issues with both the doors, but I'm not sure if it's the company or not.  I don't remember if they were on time or not.  I think they give, like a window.  One of those.  I don't know if I would recommend them.  I did call them for some service and you know, they weren't very good.  I was hoping they would come back out and fix it, but it was outside the year so they wouldn't do that.  Like I said, I don't know if it's the product.  I don't know much about garage doors.  The follow through.  I would have been nice if they followed through better.  Like if they would have sent someone out here and fixed it.

Mr. Ramirez came the same day we called (a Sunday). He gave a range of options. He replaced the system that day at a competitive price. He was pleasant and professional and explained the system and all its capabilities clearly.
