    Thomas Custom Builders Inc
We are very happy with our addition and the quality of the workmanship. It was a large job that required frequent communication with the county for permits and inspections, and TCB took care of all of it. The architect (Rob) designed an addition that really fit in with the existing house, and was very open and responsive to changes that we wanted. Dave and Brian were our contact people for the job, and we always found them responsive, helpful and professional. Of course with a job this big there were small problems along the way, but the important part was Dave and Brian always listened, responded quickly and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. We have a 1920's bungalow, and TCB was able to match the woodwork from the old section to the new, and we are especially happy with the craftsmanship and finishing. We get tons of compliments from friends and neighbors we don't even know. We highly recommend TCB!

    Thomas Custom Builders Inc
We had a wonderful experience working with Thomas Custom Builders (TCB) from start to finish on our home addition. We added a master bed and bath, unfinished basement, and screened in porch. First and foremost, we went with TCB for this renovation because we felt like they provided high quality services at a competitive price. We felt very comfortable undertaking a big project like this with TCB because unlike some of the other builders and architects we met, TCB listened to our ideas and concerns and helped us to visualize exactly what we need in a renovation and within our budget. They worked with us patiently through changes in ideas and scale of the project. Then throughout the actual renovation, the TCB staff were amazing. Brian was onsite the entire time, overseeing every aspect of the project, with absolutely no issues. It was great to have the same person there every day and it was very clear that he knew exactly what he was doing and what we wanted/needed. Work was always done within a reasonable time frame and with high quality. The TCB team finished everything within 3 months, which was even faster than we had even anticipated. We would absolutely recommend TCB to our family, friends, and neighbors and use them again.

    Ultimate Remodel LLC
Renovations included a Guest Bathroom using the original footprint and a more extensive renovation for the Master Bathroom. Ultimate Remodel LLC's owner, Tunch Aydo, was extremely helpful in explaining the projects' designs, suggested materials and details and answering all my questions and concerns in the planning period and throughout both renovations. His crew Alex, Alex and Noel did outstanding work on both bathrooms. They kept me up to date on each day's work and subsquent plans and cleaned up at the end of each day too. Tunch was always available for questions and made site vists throughout the projects. The Master Bathroom renovation was more extensive and Tunch's design maximized the new bathroom space and new walk-in closet. The transformation from what this was to what it is now is outstanding. He kept the projects to the timeline and the budget. I highly recommend Tunch and his company and want to thank him for these beautifully done bathrooms.

    Econize Closets and Blinds
From the first phone call, to the in-home visit, to the installation the staff at Eco-nize was professional, attentive and incredibly friendly! Mark walked us through all our options during our in home visit, was quick to send our mock ups and contract and responsive when we needed to adjust a few line items on the contract. The day of the installation our two installers called before they arrived, walked us through the process and got to work. We are thrilled with our final product and would use Eco-nize again for any future close/ home organization needs!

    Econize Closets and Blinds
We worked w/Econize on our Master Bedroom closet. David was professional, and every one we worked with was always on time, or even early. Deadlines were met, there were no issues with the install. Most importantly, David took the time to listen to what we wanted, and made recommendations in line with our budget and expectations. Highly recommend and would contact again! Thank you Econize.

    Econize Closets and Blinds
The initial appointment with David went really well. He came up with a design for both closets that worked well for me and met my needs. In fact, I liked his design better over the other 2 estimates/designs I received. They were also the most competitive with price so that helped make the decision even easier. And David was the only one of the 3 that called me back to follow-up and see if I made a decision. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and they were even able to accommodate my need to push it out a day (I was still a week out from the appointment). The install went smoothly! The team arrived on time and they had both closets done in less than 4 hours! And they were very courteous while in my house. And Paul, the head installer, was very helpful and even took away the debris from the demo I did earlier in the week! So happy with my closets (I keep sending pictures to my friends & family) and will definitely call them again when I want additional closet work done. (pictures attached are the second room/office closet work they did).

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
We knew we needed a lot of help with design. So after months of researching many companies, we arranged with Michael Nash for an estimate on a design/build package. Mr. Sonny Nazemian visited our home, took measurements and pictures, and suggested many practical yet creative ideas. Later, we negotiated a fair, set price. Considering the quality products on display, pictures of other Michael Nash projects, and after reading testimonials and reviews, we believe that Sonnys fixed price contract and competitive bid was the best value of any contractor that we had considered, by far. Next, we started on the design details. We were most fortunate to have Mr. Oliver Nazemian assigned to help us with this. The man is a genius! He helped us figure out what we wanted and needed, better than we could have done ourselves. We loved his selections and the way he integrated natural and earthy materials and colors into our design. He is also a saint! To the extent possible, he expertly incorporated our ideas and dreams and suffered through our detailed requests. And, he had the gumption to tell us when something we wanted was wrong and would not work well we now see and realize how right he was!! The Michael Nash workers are like family to us. Our project was large and complex so they spent many long days in our home. They were always kind, courteous and respectful. They were master craftsmen who improved upon the design with their own ideas and adjustments. They took their time and really cared about doing their best work. If we did not like something, they would redo it until we were happy. We believe that this level of professionalism is rare in todays remodeling contracting world. In summary, Sonny and the Michael Nash team transformed our home like we never thought was possible. They converted wasted space into usable storage; greatly improved our lighting; completely opened up our living room by removing walls and soffits; redesigned our kitchen layout, creating a more inviting feel; and basically, made our home warm and welcoming. The entire team was patient with us, incorporated our ideas, and offered suggestions for improvements all without modifying the contracts bottom line. The quality of the products and materials used were first class we couldnt be more pleased with the result. In the end, our project took longer than originally planned, but we have exactly what we had hoped for, and more.

Closets By Design - Central/Southeast Virginia
Fantastic! Hugh came over the following weekend and performed the maintenance himself. He briefly walked me through the process and he was in and out in under two hours. My girlfriend and I love the closet; I had no idea that we could fit so many clothes in such a small space!

    Arlington Construction Management
We have been very unhappy with Arlington Construction Management (ACM). As much as I would love to say we WERE unhappy, we sadly are not done yet. We are within two weeks of approaching the one-year anniversary of our house being held partially hostage, just for a small second floor master bedroom/bath addition and existing bathroom renovation in our older Arlington colonial. Ive tried to get them to commit to a completion date several times to no avail. Problem 1: Time - Chad advised the project would take 4 to 6 months. It is apparent from the delays weve encountered that either their leverage over subcontractors is non-existent or that we have been put at the bottom of their priority list. Problem 2: Communication and coordination Especially given the delays, communication is important. We have been forced to constantly badger ACM about upcoming work and have learned to take any promise of a sub coming with extreme skepticism. They havent communicated with the subs, or ensured the subs understood numerous details from the architectural plans, leading to a significant amount of mistakes, rework and items being done out of logical sequence and, of course, delays. On many occasions, it was our architect who closely inspected and directed the work, and not our project manager. Problem 3: Quality Chad has a different cost/management model from other contractors a very hands-off approach with the trades which no doubt saves him money and effort. As a result of this and lack of communication above, workers have on numerous occasions either done or not done necessary work without understanding what they should be doing. And numerous things in the process were broken or improperly discarded, which we had to replace with new items, revealing a lack of supervision and care of our property. To give credit where credit is due, Chads budgeting was very accurate and useful, his model allows us to deal with subs directly for additional projects, and ACM has not questioned our desire to have rework done. But every preventable rework adds time and frustration for them and us. We hope to cross the finish line soon but it shouldnt have been like this. Chads price may seem very reasonable but be forewarned, you will be waiting and suffering, cajoling and cursing these guys for at least one year.

I presented Scott (The Organizing Agency) with what I thought was an insurmountable situation! As you can see from the before pictures, we had closet space designed for a small child but needed to accommodate two adults. I emailed the pictures to Scott, he gave me some immediate suggestions to begin the transformation. On appointment day, before making any structural changes, Scott began reorganizing my mess and I could see the possibilities. Within two weeks (only because of my time and the delivery schedule) an amazing thing happened. Scott totally reorganized the space, adding new and layered shelving, purse hangers, a shoe rack, and introduced me to boot shapers. Ok, a moment of silence, please, for the AFTER pictures. I was really impressed with the installation, the organization, the professionalism, and the level of sincerity Scott displayed. This is a man who knows what he is doing and cares about what he is doing. My former organization theory was "a place for everything and everything in its place." I knew basically what I had in the closet, but didn't always know where it was and usually made the situation worse searching for what I needed. My new theory is finding what I need when I need it; which is absolutely heavenly. Thank you, Scott
