    So, I've used R&S Appliance one time before, and Scott was very prompt and helpful, and was always mindful of the cost, and providing me the best deal. Recently, our oven panel went out, and needed to be replaced, so I called Scott. I called Scott in the morning and he talked me through finding the appliance model/number, which I couldn't find. He was patient with me, and then said he would come by to see himself, to see if he could find it. He came by either later that day or the next day and figured out the model number and ordered the panel. A few days later he came back to install it. Afterwards, we noticed the burner knobs were a little loose and tight in places after the new panel was put in, so Scott came back to make those adjustments. He has always been so prompt, very reliable, extremely responsive, courteous, and mindful of costs, which I greatly appreciate. I'll definitely keep using this company for future repairs and appliance needs.

    Excellent experience. Hashim was great -- knowledgeable, competent, fast, polite, responsive. Dryer kept stopping and he said it could be motor and/or board. Diagnostic visit fee was waived when they came back to fix. They had to special order a motor for our Frigidaire dryer (maybe 12 years old) as well as the board. First tried the board replacement and that did the trick. He showed me where the old one was shorted out. So they took back the motor without complaint and only charged exactly what was estimated. 90 day warranty on parts and labor. He had some good advice as we talked about how best to use the dryer (and washer) and check some things myself. I would definitely call them again for our next appliance issue.

    Paul, the owner of Master Appliance Service, has been repairing appliances for thirty years. I hired him because of his high Angie's List and Washington Consumer Checkbook rating and was not disappointed. I also avoided the Whirlpool contract repair company that doesn't appear on Angies List but was one of the worst companies rated by Checkbook. He carefully assessed potential causes of the oven problem we were having and figured out we needed to replace a control board. Having done the diagnosis in the morning, he secured the part from the distributor and returned in the afternoon to do the install. Terrific service provided by a personable service provider. Glad to have him to turn to in the event of other major appliance problems.

    I requested a quote one evening, because my washing machine was gushing water from the bottom. The guy called me back first thing the next morning and said "I'm going to save you some money. If it's leaking from the bottom like that, you need a new machine. Save the fee for me to come out, and use it on a new machine." Wow! I've never encountered such an honest repairman in my life. He chose truth/integrity over gaining some profit. Will definitely trust them next time I need help.

    They were extremely prompt and responsive. I called them in the morning, and they were able to come by a couple of hours later. They were very mindful of figuring out the problem and the most cost effective solution which I appreciate. To avoid additional expense, they figured out how to fix it on the spot! The cost was nominal and it took about 15 minutes! I would definitely use them again. I love supporting small, local businesses, esp. ones that pride themselves in good customer service.

    Our oven was taking 40 minutes to heat to 400F and we sometimes had a gas smell when it was turned on. The problem was a failing igniter which the service tech replaced. He provided us a demonstration of what was happening and a primer on how it all worked - including a tip on cleaning our top burners which occasionally need to be lit with a match. We also talked other parts and availability should other things go wrong in the future. So we will know when to call for repair and when to shop for a new oven. Just a great experience - including an Angie's list discount on price1

    They were terrific. Took apart my dryer to find the dead mouse that had crawled inside the heating element and vacuumed it all out. So very helpful! Can���t thank them enough for this. They also diagnosed the problems with my older dryer and determined it is beyond saving. No charge to do that!

    Excellent service. Very informative and honest about options for repair. We ended up paying the service call fee but no other services were completed. With their helpful suggestions and analysis we decided it would be more cost effective to purchase a new washing machine rather than spend $300+ on needed repairs.

    Quickly and successfully replaced our broken gas oven ignitor. Also noticed oven door was not closing properly. Instead of replacing the hinges, which involved a much higher price and time to receive parts by mail, they recommended replacing the screws and lubricating the current hinges for a minimal fee--this worked for us. Both representatives were professional and knowledgeable on a variety of appliances. I highly recommend using this organization for any appliance repair.
