    Rent-A-Pro Handyman Services LLC
Leber quickly assessed the damage and made the necessary repairs. While on a ladder to seal a window outside, he noticed that the window below also needed sealing to prevent future leaks. He took care of this as well. Our kitchen light was old and could not be repaired so Leber wrote down exactly what I needed to purchase for a future appointment. Scheduling for the next week follow-up was easy and Giovanni took care of the replacement quickly.

Someone in our neighborhood recommended this company after the 3/2 wind storm due to a personal friendship with the owner, and that they'd done for that family before too. We're glad to have connected with them. Everything done as we'd have hoped with siding repair and assesment, we got some great photos of the condition of our roof to substantiate their findings. We'll definitely do business with them again as we need anything in their line of services.

    Nova Renovation Group
We contacted six design/build companies and two architects in the summer of 2016. One architect and four of the design/build companies responded, and we met with all of them. After talking with David Gordon from NRG (Nova Renovation Group), my husband and I both immediately knew we would like to work with him. He followed through with plans and a quote that was acceptable to us, and we signed a contract on August 2. Our project consisted of a large addition with a two-car garage that has some work space and some storage area. The garage is connected to the back of our original house by a 12 x 12 entry room with a new basement that connects to our original basement. Above the garage and entry is a very large master bedroom suite. A screened porch was built off the entry. The original stairs to the basement, which were next to our tiny kitchen, were removed, and that space was added to the kitchen to make it more practical. On October 20, the excavator broke ground and the project began in earnest. We lived in our house during the entire construction project, and NRG adjusted the work schedule a bit to accommodate us. My husband and I took thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video to document the construction process. (You can read about and see our project here: [*** Link removed ***] ) The NRG crew was a pleasure to work with, always willing to lend a hand if we needed it. David visited the site almost every day and kept us informed on the work schedule. He offered suggestions for useful changes and additions, but never pressured us to do expensive upgrades. He worked with us to get things done the way we wanted them. During the course of the project, numerous sub-contractors and vendors offered unsolicited praise for David. His employees seem to be comfortable around him and to respect him. As expected on a large project, there were some problems, and David was always there with a level head to get the issues resolved. After much noise and mess, we were able to spend the first night in our new bedroom on March 23, 2017. There were still some punch list items to be completed, but most of the project was complete. We have since hired NRG for two smaller projects and would not hesitate to have them do additional work for us.

    Modern Remodeling Inc
I've had far more negative experiences with contractors than good, so when it came around to choosing someone to help with my project, I was very nervous. Im really happy I made the decision to go with Modern Remodeling, who was recommended to me by a close friend. Specifically, I have been dealing with Jonathan Ballard who has been extremely helpful, honest, open, and communicative throughout the entire process. My home was hit with hail which resulted in the siding and roofing needing to be replaced. Jonathan came out, inspected the area, helped me understand what was entailed with the work, and also helped out with framing out my carport to convert it into a garage. Not only was Jonathan knowledgeable, but he was honest about what would be best for our home. Originally, I wanted to go with Hardie Board to obtain a specific look. While it was possible, Jonathan really felt that the work required to do it properly would be more than what I should spend on the total project. He convinced me to go with vinyl siding, which would be less maintenance and still keep the look I was going for. His crews for the roofing, siding, framing, and finishing were all extremely professional, prompt, and answered all my questions while they were working on the house. I cant say this enough, Jonathan, his crew, the folks at Modern Remodeling, Inc. are the best decisions Ive made for my house. My entire neighborhood is jealous of the work thats been done and Im happy to fully recommend them for their services. Thank you again Jonathan!

    Red Carpet Remodeling, Inc.
I was introduced to RCR at the Fairfax Fair. I am always on guard while speaking with folks at these events. However, there was zero pressure for a free quote for siding, shutters, gutters and a new garage door; all in need for our 1969 colonial. Ken, the owner, came to our house and was very diligent in his knowledge about products and competition. Again, zero pressure. He was very friendly and knew his business market very well. After several other interviews my family choose RCR because of their neighborhood impact, highly acclaimed reviews and price. RCR offered top-of-line siding and other products far below their competition's price point. On the magnitude of 10k. Before we signed the deal we met to go over terms and find a price point that would work with our budget. Outstanding! The installation, led by Steve, was flawless. The job site was always cleaned every day and the work was top-notch. No corners cut. Our house looks brand new now! Ken remained in the background and kept tabs on the project progression over several days. Again, outstanding job! I have dealt with numerous contractors etc and Ken and his crew take first place in customer service, product quality and installation timeline. We undoubtly recommend Ken's RCR for your home needs. I am thrilled with the results. Please do yourself a favor, contact RCR while conducting other interview. I am glad we did!

    Marks-Woods Construction Services, LLC
The construction project went so well, I felt that I had to write an online review so others would know about it.
Quote:  Someone physically came to my home, while I was there, and went over exactly what I wanted.  I expected (and received) an itemized estimate for work to be performed.  MW doesn't cost out every nail in the project but other companies hide overestimates by not telling you.  Very happy here.  I was able to see where big ticket items would hit my wallet and rethink items that were out of my budget.
Project Start:  I was given a general start date at the time of signing the contract.  They didn't start on my start date.  However, they kept the lines of communication open so I knew why we were sliding right and when I could expect my project to start.  The hold up was primarily the permit approval process.  Enough said...
Foundation Team:  Impressive!  Demolished an old driveway completed all foundation work and poured the garage in about 2 weeks.
Framing Team: Pros!  Constructed the shell of the addition, completed the roof, and had the shingles on, again in about 2 weeks.
Siding Team:  Strength in numbers!  I'm not really sure if it took 2 days or 3 to rip off all the old aluminum siding and hang the vinyl.  Fascinating to watch.
Plumbing work:  Ran the pipes, no drips.  Considering it's from the 1970's the house has copper pipes.  I was a little surprised to see PVC on the new addition work but it's not like I specifically requested copper in my quote.
    Overall construction: Very well done.
Job Site Crew:  I specially need to call out Matt Galassi at MW.  He's exactly the guy you want as your project manager.  Always, always, calls, texts, or emails you back.  Never sweats the small stuff when things that are out of his control pop up.  Has an excellent report with the team leads doing the work and the county inspectors approving the work.  Was VERY respectful of my family while 1. My pregnant wife wanted constant schedule updates. 2. My 3 y/o son asked him a million questions every day.  3. My newborn baby "needed" quiet (according to my wife). 4. I wanted to "help".  Other than Matt, I would minimally interact with the team leads.  All interactions were positive.
Warranty work:  I asked them to repoint an area on the foundation.  Done.
Special requests:  There were two work items that I wished to postpone for an extended period of time. One was the actual break through into the addition from the existing home so as not to expose the newborn to anything.  I honestly thought it would never happen b/c I had paid in full, and there was little/no incentive for them to come back and do the final breakthrough.  However, Matt made sure it happened and put us right into their schedule when we were ready.  This is the kind of thing that makes a guy like me (hate facebook, spam, or anything that exposes you to identity theft) get online and write a review.
Bottom line:  You will absolutely get an excellent construction company that is ran by exceptional people if you go with MW Construction!

    American Home Contractors Inc
During recent wind/rain storm my roof and siding were damaged. I contacted several companies for estimates. American Home Contractors were very responsive to all my questions and I feel that they gave me a good price, so I went with them. Also, based on previous reviews I felt confident that they would do a good job. I am very happy with my new roof and siding. They also replaced two skylights on my porch, and all of my shutters. The neighbors have all commented that my house looks great.

    EA Roofing & Siding LLC
TJ and Tony, the owners of EA Roofing and Siding, LLC were great!! I found them to be very professional, competitively priced and extremely knowledgeable about their products. They provided samples and a written estimate at our first meeting and communicated with me throughout the entire process. They even coordinated and met with the insurance adjuster to make sure things went smoothly and helped us to make sure we were in compliance with our HOA. I couldn't be happier with the final result (the house looks like brand new!!) -and the architectural shingles were a nice upgrade. I attached a before and after photo of one side of the house as well as a couple other photos. (The quoted price was for all work completed but we only had to pay for a deductible since our HOI covered the hail damage.)
