Plastering reviews in Annandale

We had 4 large outdated recessed lights (Square) removed and new ones inserted (circle) and needed ceiling patched for the new shape and textured b/c the whole ceiling was textured. I wrote/called with them on a Tuesday and by Thursday afternoon, the work was done and exactly as I'd hoped. I'm so grateful and will definitely use them again for a variety of the services they provide.

Working with CDT was great. Brian did the most thorough assessment of our old bathroom out of the 4 contractors who came over to give us estimates; got up through a crawl space in the ceiling to really assess the space above our bathroom to make sure we could extend the ceiling, while everyone else said they'd do that once the job began. He patiently walked us through the process of purchasing all of the supplies for the job at the showroom he recommended, and worked within our budget. His crew was friendly, timely, and respectful of our home during the 7 days they worked on the job. The quality of the finish is excellent, and they finished it incredibly quickly. Would hire again.

I had some issues, like did not come at anywhere the right time the first day they were suppose to. They have the materials with them to do repairs that would be expected of them. They did do the jobs I wanted done and went and brought back the materials needed to do the job. They finished the two jobs I wanted them to do in 2.5 hours, I hired them for 4 but I was satisfied with the work done and I thought the price was more than fair. Overall I could recommend.

Jarro did amazing work, unbelievably quickly, was professional, and even offered tips on things we could do ourselves rather than spending money. Going forward, we will use JA Renovations and Home Improvement for all of our repair/building needs.

I can't say enough good things about this company!  Mr. Patterson took a careful look at the job and gave me an estimate, in writing, within a day's time.  He laid out a schedule for the work and showed up promptly every day.  He took great pains to protect my property, covering everything (even the walls!) with plastic sheeting.  When he sanded, he briefly turned off my furnace and the system's fan, to avoid getting dust in other areas of the house.   He was courteous and professional at all times and his work was excellent.  My ceiling is smooth as glass, even under a bright light!  I couldn't be more pleased.
I have spent almost four months making repairs to my home from the water damage and also having some previously scheduled work done.  I've had a dozen workers in and out of the house.  D. S. Patterson came, did the job, and left without damaging something else.  Unfortunately, in my experience now and during renovations over the past ten years, this is the exception, rather than the rule.  I feel very fortunate to have found him to restore my ceiling.  I would absolutely recommend him for any drywall or plaster job.  My confidence in this company is such that, if I need future repairs or do more remodeling, I would hire them for other types of work, too.

Unbelievable how good they are. They've been timely, they work quickly but not recklessly, they know what they're doing, and they've been very flexible and answered all of my questions. I'm doing all of the wiring including ethernet, CATV etc., and they've extend trenches so I could do my portion of the work, the chipped and exposed rebar points around the pool so I could install direct-burial clamps and grounding wire (grounding by rebar will prevent electrolysis corrosion of pool equipment by ensuring there's no voltage differential between the pool and the equipment). Because I was down there working while they were, I saw most of what they did, and how they did it. They have a gauge on each return and suction pipe, the autofill and the skimmer, and pressurize them to ensure there are no leaks. They're going to do a leak check when the rebar is in for the concrete deck, just to be certain there are no issues with the pipes before the concrete goes in.
I'll update this review in the spring when we're done with the equipment install, plastering and pool startup.
By the way, Kirk at Millennium is the person who recommended the company to use for the concrete, stairs and wall work. And that company, Bright Construction Group, is doing an absolutely incredible job.
I recommend Millennium highly. Definitely more than worth the money spent.

Mr Patterson told us ahead of time when & how long the job would take.  He maintained that schedule precisely.  He taped plastic on all walls & floors to prevent dust.  We returned the day after he finished and the condo was dust free!  The job was perfect.

I am very pleased with JW's work -- very professional in all regards.
Jessie, the owner, visited my home initially to review the work.  He came on time and was very professional, taking cell photos of all of the projects. We then agreed upon a date for the work.
His employee, Mr. Reyes, arrived exactly at 8:00 am.  Mr. Reyes work was very impressive.  He literally took care of replacing a door handle with lock in less than 10 minutes which included trying it out to ensure that it closed correctly and trying to open it from the outside with the key, and then giving it to me to try.
I had two casement windows (installed in 1989) that would not open completely. Of course the operator mechanism was located under a wooden sash which Jessie had warned me could be damaged in removing it.   Mr. Reyes removed the window sash with the utmost care so that I could reuse it. Turned out that the mechanism was loose and did not need to be replaced. Instead Mr. Reyes installed deeper screws to keep the mechanism in place. There were several other projects which I will not go into here but all were done very well.
I purchased a JW Improvement special and I could not be happier.  All projects were completed in less time than projected and done with care and quality in mind. I would definitely recommend JW Improvement and use them again.

The effort took longer than what we had planned, but not due to Anderson Construction.  Every time they started something, such as removing wall paper, they ran into problems done by a previous contractor 20 years ago.  They kept us fully apprised as to what was happening, showed us the problems, briefed us on alternatives to remedy the problems and worked as quickly as they could.  The quality and workmanship was fine.  Since we were not available once they started putting the bathrooms back together, we had to rely upon Michael Anderson to pick out things like wall colors, toilet colors, towel racks, etc.  If we were to do it again, we'd pick them out ourselves -- not that what he picked out was bad, but just different from what we thought.  But Mike talked us through what he selected and why and we came around to his way of thinking.  He really does know his stuff, having done it this stuff for 20+ years.  He's got a very good team of people who do a good job.
An added benefit of using Anderson Construction is that Mike knows a number of other contractors and was able to get our house painted -- inside and out, got our deck refinished, replaced a front door, and has found a firm to sand/repair our hardwood floors.  Because of his personal commitment to us, we are planning on getting our house on the market 2-3 months sooner than we had planned.  We are very pleased with Mike, as a professional and a nice guy.
