    The person who sold me the system requires more training. Luckily, I had a similar system in the past, and I already knew what I needed. The salesperson did not know the difference between a contact sensor and a glass break. She did not understand their purpose, and only wanted to sell me the glass break. She did not understand that someone could still get in the window (not break the glass), and the alarm would not go off. The salesperson was very nice, but I am concerned that if the buyer does not understand what he/she needs, they may not be receiving the proper security equipment. For the install, the person was knowledgeable and nice. Unfortunately, I had a window contact sensor fail the next day. I had to keep bypassing the sensor (which I considered to be one of my most vulnerable locations - basement window) until he was able to get back to my house to replace it. The install occurred on a Friday, and he was not able to show up until Tuesday (he was supposed to arrive on Monday, but unfortunately, got a flat tire). In addition, a contact sensor located on the sliding door (deck area) fell off, and I had to try to stick it back on. The install person said that everything looked okay, and that it should not fall off again. Overall, I believe that the system is going to be good. There were a few bumps along the way, but having a similar system in the past (former system company was sold to this company), I have faith that this company will provide the service that I expect.

    The system was very easy to install, and works great so far.  I was unable to access all of the features from the web after completing the install.  I called SimpliSafe, and spoke with customer support after about 3 minutes on hold.  They were very helpful, and ran a diagnostic test on the system.  I was then determined that I needed to wait a day for complete online access.  The next day I was able to access all of the online features.  I now receive a text message every time the alarm is activated or deactivated. One thg

    . Overall well.  1st Security did a fantastic job and the monitoring service from Guardian has been pleasantly uneventful.   Always a courteous response and very rapid replies to any questions that have come up.   The minimum 5 year contract is a little intimidating but that seems to be close to the industry norms as I could not find a monitored system with less than a 5 year contract.

    ADT is always a pain to deal with for service, but their service guys are great when they get to your house. The service guys always work with me to keep cost down, the customer service people never seem to know how to help.

    We called Front Point Security to discuss an alarm system for our house.  We had a full discussion with them about our home and our needs and they recommended a system that would work for us.  They happened to have a special going on with Angie's List, so we went online to purchase the system through Angie's List.  That actually led to some confusion because the people at Front Point who deal with the Angie's List purchases didn't seem to know that we had already spoken to someone at the company and called to ask us the same questions we had already answered the day before.  After several phone calls, it turned out that the person we spoke to initially, had spelled our name wrong, so that's why the other people at the company couldn't find us in their system.  Once that was straightened out, everything went very smoothly.  The system is totally wireless, so there's no need for a technician to come to the home and drill holes to install anything.  Installation was simple and the instructions were very clear.  We had a couple of follow-up questions and our calls were always answered timely and by knowledgeable staff.  The monthly charge for the service is reasonable.

    The technician was very good.
    The only problem we ran into was a billing problem.
    But it got resolved it relatively quickly.
    So far we have not had any problems.

    Craig and his assistant arrived in the morning and after devising a plan of action began to lay out floor coverings to protect from plaster dust and foot traffic. They cut out the minimum amount of plaster necessary to get the job done and did a splendid job patching up all of the holes to be paint ready. I checked in with his assistant in the middle of the day and was amazed at how much he had accomplished already. The job was completed that day and the clean up job was impeccable. It was refreshing to come home and have perfectly working cables AND a clean house.
