    Capitol Sheds
Great. They were knowledgeable on the county code for outbuildings, they were able to customize everything to my specs, delivery was seamless, they shifted the date to accommodate all of the rain, and the construction is very solid. They were super responsive throughout the whole process.

    Nova Renovation Group
We contacted six design/build companies and two architects in the summer of 2016. One architect and four of the design/build companies responded, and we met with all of them. After talking with David Gordon from NRG (Nova Renovation Group), my husband and I both immediately knew we would like to work with him. He followed through with plans and a quote that was acceptable to us, and we signed a contract on August 2. Our project consisted of a large addition with a two-car garage that has some work space and some storage area. The garage is connected to the back of our original house by a 12 x 12 entry room with a new basement that connects to our original basement. Above the garage and entry is a very large master bedroom suite. A screened porch was built off the entry. The original stairs to the basement, which were next to our tiny kitchen, were removed, and that space was added to the kitchen to make it more practical. On October 20, the excavator broke ground and the project began in earnest. We lived in our house during the entire construction project, and NRG adjusted the work schedule a bit to accommodate us. My husband and I took thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video to document the construction process. (You can read about and see our project here: [*** Link removed ***] ) The NRG crew was a pleasure to work with, always willing to lend a hand if we needed it. David visited the site almost every day and kept us informed on the work schedule. He offered suggestions for useful changes and additions, but never pressured us to do expensive upgrades. He worked with us to get things done the way we wanted them. During the course of the project, numerous sub-contractors and vendors offered unsolicited praise for David. His employees seem to be comfortable around him and to respect him. As expected on a large project, there were some problems, and David was always there with a level head to get the issues resolved. After much noise and mess, we were able to spend the first night in our new bedroom on March 23, 2017. There were still some punch list items to be completed, but most of the project was complete. We have since hired NRG for two smaller projects and would not hesitate to have them do additional work for us.

    J & F Specialties Inc
We hired the crew from J&F Specialties to help design and then build a custom two-story wooden playhouse/swingset in our backyard. Although we had a basic idea for the design, John did a fantastic job addressing the technical aspects of the design while ensuring a child-friendly space. He thought of everything - recommending specific products to ensure structural stability, durability and safety. John and the crew went above and beyond to create a beautiful architectural focal point that doubles as a child's dream play house! Given the attention to detail for every aspect from design to completion we would highly recommend their team for your contracting needs!

    Lakewood Home Builders Inc
Due to a storm knocking over a tree and destroying our carport and custom shed we urgently required assistance getting the structures removed and replaced.  We had wanted a two car garage in place of the single carport, so this seemed like the right opportunity to take advantage of the situation.  After reaching out to multiple contractors for estimates, Lakewood was the last company, despite being one of the first and most professional to provide their estimate.  When I reviewed their estimate it was a little more expensive too, so I almost scrapped it following first glance in favor of one of the other companies.  That would have been a big mistake.
On closer look I realized that despite being a little more, it actually included A LOT more.  Lakewood included tree removal, driveway expansion, windows, a garage door opener, a finished interior and more.  The other companies, though quicker to provide an estimate and very slightly cheaper, had not included a whole lot of items that Lakewood had.  Even when I reached out to the other companies for clarification, they made it clear that their bids did NOT include these things and that they would not even coordinating many of these things for extra money.  (Seriously, how do you build the garage without removing a tree thats in the way?)  I quickly signed up with Lakewood to proceed and things fell together quickly after that.
The project took a few months to complete, but that is realistic considering the scope.  They worked with me on what I was wanting, and really helped me out a lot when it came to dealing with insurance and getting the documentation in order.  More than anything I would acknowledge their attention to detail set them apart.  Even when the project was done they had planted trees and grass in the vacated areas and approached me about different additional options to make the most of the new space.
I look forward to working with this team again and highly recommend their services.

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
    November 5, 2014
    Home Build Period: 1979
We had a great experience working with Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes on a major remodeling and sizable expansion of our 1979 vintage master bedroom bath that also included an upgrade of the first floor power bathroom, a new master bedroom customized walk in closet upgrade, replacement the original pine rails and spokes on the stairs with beautiful Oak rails and spokes, and carpeting of the second floor and steps.  We did our homework and Michael Nash delivered the best design and value over four other companies.
The architectural and design phase was a great experience under the guidance of Oliver.  Oliver took our requirements and the allocated space we gave him for the new bathroom and delivered a phenomenal design.  The entire Michael Nash team?s attention to detail delivered a stunning bathroom with outstanding tile work in the shower, bathtub enclosure, floor, upgrade of the first floor powder bathroom, and a new customized walk in closet with the following major amenities in the bathroom:
    ·       Heated floor.
    ·       Sound system (bathroom and closet).
    ·       A large custom built steam shower.
    ·       A large bathtub with relaxation air bubbles.
    ·       Cherry vanity with double sinks and granite top with lots of storage and cabinet space.
    ·       Two storage areas with granite top seats.
    ·       Heated towel warmer.
    ·       Beautiful tile work throughout the bathroom.
Being recently retired allowed me to monitor the entire project starting with the complete demolition of two closets, the original bathroom area, and the construction phase of the project.  Mr. Mulyadi and his team are true professionals who excel in quality, best value, flexibility, and most importantly, Customer Satisfaction.  As with any major renovation project there were some unexpected issues and challenges that Michael Nash resolved without any additional charges.
We will call on Michael Nash when we?re ready to upgrade the other bathroom and redo the basement.  I would not hesitate to recommend Michael Nash as they are a customer focused company that delivered outstanding results.

    Affordable Sheds Inc
I needed a replacement for my 23-year-old Heartland shed.  Based on Angie's List reviews, I went to Affordable Sheds to determine if they had what I wanted.  The people at their site were very informative without being pushy.  When Doug Lewis, the owner, came to my house to make final arrangements, he also was very helpful with suggestions, without pressuring to up-sell his products.  I decided to go with the premier package, vinyl siding, and a vinyl privacy lattice.  I have a sloping yard, which meant I also needed leveling blocks and a long ramp.  In fact, I contracted for a 6' ramp, but after putting up the shed, Bruce Elmore (the installer) recommended to Doug that for safety purposes (more gentle slope), it needed 8', which they installed at no additional cost.  The price also included the tear-down and removal of the old shed, which was not an easy feat.  Doug had allowed a week for the entire job, but Bruce completed it in 3 days.  I had the opportunity to observe him at work, and he showed great craftsmanship and attention to detail. He left the yard in pristine condition.  All the people I dealt with at Affordable Sheds were courteous and professional.  For the price, I believe I received a great quality product.

    Backyard Shed & Deck Co
Overall very good. Prompt response to a request for estimate. Good discussion on site of options. Slightly complicated by slope for build. More expensive than sheds pre built and delivered as its built on site. If you have a yard that cannot accommodate a delivery of a fully built shed, this is a very good alternative. Weather delay caused it to run a little longer than estimate but the quality of construction is very good. They knew all the local codes for setbacks and provided recommendations for placement in the yard.

    AAA MASONRY
AAA made the good faith effort to correct his mistake spending many hours to make me happy by the fix.
AAA came out on Nov. 21, 2012 to make good on my complaint. Ari, the
owner installed siding on the shed and nailed in the exposed sheathing
about the detached garage.. Executed the fix perfectly.

    Town & Country Sheds
Overall, tremendous experience - I had a study, durable and classy shed within 7 days of getting the price quote. I highly recommend Steve, his son and their crew.

Details - After pricing small- to medium-sized pre-fab storage sheds at the big name stores, I requested bids from several companies on Angie's list.  Steve was the only one to provided a quick response to my email and then followed up with a phone call. Within three days of coming out for the estimate in mid-December, construction began. I was concerned because of the coming winter weather and because the building site was on a dramatic grade at the back of the yard, requiring the installation of concrete-set piers for level. There was no way I was going to do this myself.

The shed was up within a day, with painting, roofing and finish work culminating within a week. Steve was very clear on the estimate and sought concurrence before making any additions to the estimate -- in my case, augmenting the concrete pylons on the sloping terrain.

The price was hefty for a shed but it was worth it. Instead of a plastic box, I have a spacious storage and work space exactly where I wanted it, with a custom paint job, a window, a tall roof and sturdy floor for me to hide out from the wife. I will be using Steve for future building or for references to other service-providers. Thanks!

    CHASE CONSTRUCTION
Pride in a job well done. Commitment to the customer. Nice people. Those are the phrases that come to my mind when I think about our experience with Chase Construction. Our garage rehab project was not a big one but, as project manager Gil said as he was discussing options with us, and ldquo; It's important to you.and rdquo; And for Gil and company owner Karen Man this was not some hackneyed phrase; they really worked hard to ensure we were satisfied with the result. And today we have a like-new two car garage that meets all our expectations. We would and will hire out Chase Construction again, without hesitation. The project: Our garage was a handyman's assemblage, put up by the previous owner's, functional but deteriorating. It needed to be fully enclosed, storage space added, new electric doors a must, some additional lighting, access to the backyard desirable. But we had a budget in mind. We spoke with two other companies besides Chase. The first suggested a job that went considerably beyond what we had in mind, with a cost nearly double what we envisioned. The second kept to budget but only, we worried, by cutting corners. Chase's bid was, like Goldilocks' bear settling in, just right. Gil suggested logical, functional additions to what we contemplated, with full transparency as to likely costs, and then Karen laid out a bid proposal that while a bit higher than what we had been planning to spend, was quite reasonable, noting as well where we could cut back if desired. Then, to add to a stance that clearly suggested to us that Chase wanted our business, Karen included within the quote at no additional cost to us the tearing down of an old concrete block wall we had mentioned to Gil we wanted to get rid. That clinched it for us - that and the glowing comments made to me by the references Karen supplied. Once the work got underway, my wife and I more than once gave each other a high five for having chosen wisely. Gil and his team were professional, hard-working, and attentive to detail. Gil likes his work and, as we commented on the project's progress, told us more than once that he approached the job as if he was working on his own home. As above, this was not some mere platitude. He really means it. Gil had done some research into a new siding material that was and ldquo;eco-greenand rdquo; but more expensive than traditional pressed particle board. If we were willing to be a guinea pig, he asked, he would use it at no additional cost to us. I researched it myself and gave the go ahead. When the project was well underway and I lamented the fact that I hadn't asked for doors with windows, so as to add some natural light, Gil and Karen and ldquo;surprisedand rdquo; us with not only a replacement door with a window, but an additional separate window installed at Chase's expense. Our project did run into an unexpected obstacle; far more dirt had to be removed than was expected in order to properly install a French drainage system behind the garage. Karen quickly provided a Change Order detailing the cost to remove the dirt, and the materials to build a retaining wall and adjoining stairs and on we went. A few minor additions we asked for and ndash; such as shelving - were accommodated easily and at a reasonable cost. The key was Chase's commitment to timely, instructive communication. If we were to make one constructive criticism it would be that the timetable initially laid out for completion and ndash; 8 to 10 days and ndash; was probably unrealistic. The project stretched out to nearly three weeks. Some of that was a function of weather, as well as the additional work to remove dirt. But we suspect Chase has many projects in the works and ndash; they have a great reputation - and could be at capacity. Bottom line: Chase Construction is the sort of company with which you want to do business. Responsive, meticulous, and fair, peopled with individuals who are pleasant and committed to doing the job right. My wife and I will certainly use Chase again and ndash; bathrooms and a master bedroom renovation loom in our future and ndash; and we look forward to working with Karen and Gil again. We can recommend Chase Construction without reservation.
