They just completed my driveway, walkway, and front stoop. It...looks...amazing!!!! Price wise they came in at the middle of 3, but they did more than we asked. They took one look at our front yard and offered to take the dirt from the brick flower beds we had removed and grade our front lawn to help keep water away from the house. Then they seeded and covered the dirt with hay to help beautify our home. For timing, they finished a couple days later than estimated, but they accommodated our schedule when we asked them to not work one Saturday since we were having our sons birthday party and then there were 2 days of rain that stalled them so I cant complain. Guy, Jose, and the crew were knowledgeable and pleasant. I cant wait to have them back to fix my side walkway and downstairs fireplace.

All the work done by Barcroft Builders has been great at a reasonable price. They are general contractors and there really isn't much they can't do. Tom is great to work with and so are all the workers that have completed work in and outside of our home. Highly recommended!

Everything from the first call to Cristina about my water issues during that hard and steady rainy season in July/August to the completion of the job went perfectly as discussed and scheduled! Spoke briefly to the owner who said to contact Jaime Moreno, the Water Remediation Specialist, who returned my call the following day and scheduled a visit to the property that same day. Pretty amazing with all the excess water we were getting at the time of my call. Once I signed the contract they got me on the calendar the following week. Jaime was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, patient, respectful and professional. His details of the job were very clear including pictures of a completed job for my clarity. Jaime even helped me get a plumber out on a Saturday to replace a leaking water valve in my older home. Excellent customer service which has become a lost art today! I would highly recommend this company and would hire them again in the future.

We contacted six design/build companies and two architects in the summer of 2016. One architect and four of the design/build companies responded, and we met with all of them. After talking with David Gordon from NRG (Nova Renovation Group), my husband and I both immediately knew we would like to work with him. He followed through with plans and a quote that was acceptable to us, and we signed a contract on August 2. Our project consisted of a large addition with a two-car garage that has some work space and some storage area. The garage is connected to the back of our original house by a 12 x 12 entry room with a new basement that connects to our original basement. Above the garage and entry is a very large master bedroom suite. A screened porch was built off the entry. The original stairs to the basement, which were next to our tiny kitchen, were removed, and that space was added to the kitchen to make it more practical. On October 20, the excavator broke ground and the project began in earnest. We lived in our house during the entire construction project, and NRG adjusted the work schedule a bit to accommodate us. My husband and I took thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video to document the construction process. (You can read about and see our project here: [*** Link removed ***] ) The NRG crew was a pleasure to work with, always willing to lend a hand if we needed it. David visited the site almost every day and kept us informed on the work schedule. He offered suggestions for useful changes and additions, but never pressured us to do expensive upgrades. He worked with us to get things done the way we wanted them. During the course of the project, numerous sub-contractors and vendors offered unsolicited praise for David. His employees seem to be comfortable around him and to respect him. As expected on a large project, there were some problems, and David was always there with a level head to get the issues resolved. After much noise and mess, we were able to spend the first night in our new bedroom on March 23, 2017. There were still some punch list items to be completed, but most of the project was complete. We have since hired NRG for two smaller projects and would not hesitate to have them do additional work for us.

Green Lady was the only vendor that understood the conditions on the hill and what would work best from a practical and aesthetic standpoint. From the first call to Deborah Rudolph to the finishing touches by Gerardo and his expert masonry team, we knew we chose the right company. The result was a beautifully situated and built flagstone patio (irregular stones in keeping with the look of our yard) that became part of our landscape. It was expertly done. The concrete slab foundation will prevent the patio from sliding down the hill. The landscaping recommendations and work was also the best match for our yard (not manicured, and native plants used).

Mr. Mottern arrived promptly to discuss job and make suggestions for work to fit our needs. He provided a written estimate while on-site and promptly scheduled our job during the end of the concrete pouring season (we called for the estimate mid-December) and offered a discount for late-season work. Mr. Mottern's office notified us when the crew would arrive and the schedule of work to be performed. Mr. Mottern was easily accessible by phone for questions. The work was completed as scheduled and the crew left the work site neat and tidy.

The project looks beautiful. Soni and his entire team did a great job. Soni is very hands on and involved personally. No detail is too small for him to overlook. He met us out at the Virginia Stone Center and helped us select the stone. The work was done flawlessly and we are so pleased. They did a concrete base and used crushed stone dust. The stone pattern is a french pattern and it was done perfectly. We are going to hire Soni to do an additional patio project to be completed in a few weeks. He is going to remove old flagstone and install the same travertine. He is also going to do a retaining wall and install a marble cap stone at sitting height.

Excellent. Jeff slotted our project in a couple of weeks early than he forecast. His workers were punctual and courteous, they finished the job on time, and they asked lots of questions to make sure there were no misunderstandings. We have been getting lots of compliments about how good the new walkway looks (including from some hard-to-please contractors *we* know).

Angie's List helped me find Amaya Home Improvement, and after reading the reviews, I set up an appointment to meet with the owner, Luis. Luis was punctual, professional, and patient. During our initial consultation, he walked me through the process and provided time and cost estimates for each project. After settling on a start date and working through other logistical details, the team arrived on time to get started. I have never met a group of people who work so hard and leave absolutely no evidence of having been there. Other than the beautifully renovated spaces, of course. They patiently answered each of my questions when providing me with a daily status report. I trusted them wholeheartedly to complete their tasks each day in my absence. Their attention to detail is fantastic and they even identified an area in my basement that had a bit of moisture, explained how it could be resolved, and then did so when I gave them my approval. The result was a gorgeous back patio. Luis was extremely timely in responding to phone calls and e-mails, kept to his schedule, and remained on budget. This review really doesn't convey my sincere gratitude for the work that the team completed, but perhaps this little tidbit will....after they finished renovating the kitchen, basement family room, and concrete stairs, I immediately re-hired them to renovate the basement bathroom and a closet. They completed those two projects beautifully too! Amaya Home Improvement helped me to fall in love with my house again.

Signed contract for a patio on October 12 with a promise to start in 2 to 3 weeks. Paid 50% down. Still waiting for work to begin with several excuses mostly blaming rain when in our area for this timeframe it has been below average. Update - work was finally completed in a very cold December. Now (April) when I walk on the patio I feel and hear hollow sounds on some of the flagstone pieces indicating the stone has not bonded to the concrete base. I still owe this company $500 for some grading around patio. The owner promised to return on 2 occasions after my husband called but we have not see him. I doubt that we will now that we have issues.
