    Apex Waterproofing
I used Apex to fix a situation where water would leak into my basement through the electrical panel during a long, heavy downpour. It was a particularly unique and difficult problem to solve which involved excavating under part of a flagstone patio, determining the source(s) of the leak and sealing. Their final solution was very thorough and attacked the problem from multiple directions. I was impressed with their dedication to doing the job right. The clean-up was also thorough (the patio looked better after they left than before they started!) The crew was great! They worked hard and knew what they were doing. Since it was such a tricky problem, Lou, the manager, was on-site for most of the day. They also have an excellent electrician on the team which was a definite plus for this project. I used Apex a couple of years ago to renovate the basement and was very pleased with the result of that project as well. Theyve been in the business for many years and are deservedly proud of their reputation for quality work. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

They were very proffesional and attended to many details I would have overlooked. It took a couple of weeks longer than they said it would but the weather interrupted some parts of the project.Overall they were exceptional! They also come in wayunder some of the largercontractors that literally hit me with Sticker Shock for what I thought I would be quoted. I am using them next summer to build an in-law addition on my summer home for my parents. They referred me to a great designer that was also reasonable. I would definetly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

    Basement Detective
After an initial scheduling snafu, Chris was sent to come look at our basement window well trim, which was excessively moist. He was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. He provided helpful information and advice that did not necessarily require his company's services. When the window well trim was removed, Chris made himself available to return to our house and reassess for signs of damage or leaking. No direct payment was exchanged, which speaks to Chris and Basement Detective's interest in honest work and customer satisfaction. If we do encounter an issue within their scope of work, we will definitely contact Basement Detective and will refer others to them as well.

    Basement Masters Waterproofing
This was done 3 years ago. It went well. Workers hand dug a trench around the foundation, sealed any cracks in the cinder block, applied several layers of sealant and waterproofing to the cinder block wall up from the footers to ground level, installed a french drain, filled in soil and replanted the shrubbery that they had to remove, tested drainage, cleaned up all debris and installed an outside sump pump and replaced the interior sump pump. It took 3 1//2 days to complete the job. I have had no dampness or water in my basement since - including this year when we have had close to 5 foot of rain. I am pleased with the work and glad I had it done.

    Drainage and Erosion Solutions
I had French drains put around the perimeter of my backyard in 2015 by them; they worked great In 2017, some neighbors had cut down trees etc and had more water in my backyard from their hill. Mark came out and the work he suggested which was adding 2 catch basins was done, and they worked great. I told him last year that I was moving this year and could they come out and just clean up. He said that they could. He came out today, showed his crew what to do with one of the catch basins and just a clean up. Everyone at this company is very professional, answer calls, come on time, work they do is great, and they are an excellent company.

The work was completed today, and the 4 men who were here on time did a great job. They cleaned up the mulch, graded the area, added more rocks, buildup the rim, replaced the old mulch. Mark came by and put on the domes. In 2013 and 2017 they have been completely professional, on time, good follow up, and really want the customer to be satisfied. In 2013, I had talked with 3 companies, but what this company wanted to do was just much better with better results.

    Value Dry Waterproofing
First, they insist that both homeowners be physically present for the "inspection." (Which was not an inspection at all, but more on that later.) My husband took time off, and when I offered to join the meeting by phone they would not schedule the "inspection" until I absolutely agreed to be present in person. Otherwise, they would be forced to charge us several hundred dollars for the "inspection." So, we started with me taking time off from work and rearranging my schedule to accommodate them. I have never, in all of my times of having work done on various properties, had a contractor that was so inflexible with this requirement. In my opinion, who meets the "inspector" and how we decide to proceed on work on our property is a matter between my husband and myself, and a company has no business dictating how we as partners handle that. That should have been the first red flag. Then, the "inspection" turned out to be a little lesson on crawl space encapsulation (vs a ventilated crawl space), and a very hard sell. We barely got the guy to poke his head into our crawl space to take a look, and that after the hour of the hard sell. Then it made sense; they called it a crawl space renovation and attached a rather high price tag to it. I can see how both homeowners would need to be present to sign off on 3-4x more than they were expecting. It's a sales pitch all the way. When I tried to suggest that we keep the crawl space as "ventilated" and just replace insulation and provide a vapor barrier, we had an argument that that was really a stupid idea and it became clear that they really only had one expensive solution. The salesman said that they could replace the insulation between the joists and provide a vapor barrier (essentially leaving it as a vented crawl space) if we really wanted to go ahead with that inferior solution, but the quote he provided listed the work as basically an encapsulation where the homeowners would go back in and add insulation in between the floor joists. If it was truly an encapsulation, there would be no need for us to add insulation. I couldn't make heads or tails of it, and it made me think they only do encapsulations of crawl spaces and cannot offer an alternative solutions. The irony is that after that experience I started reading about crawl space encapsulation. While I do not agree with the salesman's opinion that this is the only workable solution, it does seem like a good solution in many cases. But the audacity to require both homeowners to be physically present, calling what was clearly a sales situation an "inspection" that we would be required to pay for if one of us didn't make it in person (!!!), and the high pressure to sign off on a high price tag turned me off to this company and their business practices. I would caution others to stay away.

JJ Basement & Yards Water Proofing Repairs LLC
The drain pipe has worked magnificently. This fixed a huge issue for my family, as previously, I would have to manually shovel out water in my patio to not flood the house. There is no issues with water in my backyard and I don't worry about the patio flooding any more. Rain storms used to be a source of stress. Now, we welcome the rain and just watch the drainage pipe push the water away from the house! Before the walkway was redone, the stone path was overgrown with weeds and there were loose rocks that my kids would kick around and never stay in place. The redone path is edged with wood, and set with poly sand a few inches thick to stay in place. I forgot how big the stones were (because they used to be overgrown), and it is a lot nicer to look at and easier to maintain. The Pre-sales architect, Len, was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and made a few recommendations on the work that I was not thinking about that helped in the long run and he also steered me away from things that I thought I needed but didn't to save costs. He provided a very competitive price. Jose was the crew foreman, and he led his team to a very quick delivery and the work was superb. Jose also made a recommendation to provide rock in one place instead of mulch provided at no extra charge, which was very nice. I felt like the team was taking care of me.

    Drainage and Erosion Solutions
Drainage and Erosion is a great company. We had our entire yard (0.5 acres) done back in 2014 and the work was outstanding! Ask for David Arias (Operations Manager). Him and his crew are awesome! Great service!
