Acupuncture Treatment reviews in Annandale

    Kim, Dr. Hyung Kon

I LOVE that you don't need an appointment, just walk in anytime and the wait time has never been more that 10 minutes.  He is open 7 days a week (Saturday and Sunday have limited hours).  The first visit is $75.00 and then $40.00 for each treatment thereafter, he does not accept insurance, but will give you a statement so that you can submit for reimbursement.  Yes, it probably sounds expensive, however, you can't put a price tag on feeling good again  : )  I am currently seeing him for a back problem  : )

His office staff are just GREAT!!!!!

He deciphered my issues and started treatment. I am happy to say, and I don't know how, I feel so much better. I am not taking any over the counter medicines for allergies or digestive issues. Wow! Who knew! Obviously Dr. Reddy did!

He told me what to eat, drink, and which stretches exercises I should do, and when. And reminded me to not use a bed until I was fully recovered--I needed the firmness of a floor, among other things.

After a month or two of weekly consults and acupuncture treatments (both is in one visit), which also diminished the pain greatly!, Everyone saw that my healing went more smoothly, completely, and faster than expected. After two months I could walk and lift normally. People were surprised to see my great progress.

Now I visit every 3 months or so for maintenance and check-up. It works, as long as you DO WHAT HE SAYS!! AND ASK QUESTIONS TO CLARIFY what U should/should not eat, and exercises., ALSO, FIND YOUR FAVORITE FOODS WITHIN WHAT HE SAYS YOU CAN HAVE AND ENJOY THEM! I still eat delicious food (within my diet) every day and feel fit and happy as ever. I didn't need to loose weight, but I got much trimmer, even though I was eating more food than before--because it was the right food, and it is delicious. I now know which foods make me strong and which make me weak, and have found delicious versions for them.

I started going to Pinecrest Wellness Center in October after finding them through Angie's List. I am very pleased with Pinecrest with all the services Pinecrest Wellness Center offers. I have been receiving chiropractic treatment and rehab since October and I am making great progress. Earlier this month, I added in accupunture to quicken my recovery process. Bill Reddy (accupunturist) and Dr. Weinstein (Chiropractor) coordinate my treatment and work together to maximize my body's healing potential. After the holidays, we will start to address my nutritional concerns.

They work with my budget and have set up a payment plan so I can receive treatment at a cost I can afford as health insurance does not cover the cost of the treatment.

He is fabulous and honorable, I cannot recommend him enough.  Especially for allergy sufferers, I walked out of there able to breath again.  He is open seven days a week and walk ins welcome are welcome.  His prices are fantastic, very reasonable for his treatments.  If he can not help you, he will tell you.  He is very honest.  Our whole family goes to him.

They had an Angie's List discount. It had a good atmosphere. The acupuncturist was interesting and seemed pretty skilled. I enjoyed talking to them. I had never done it before and it was a good experience. It wasn't particularly effective.

Great place--so worth even an initial visit! The atmosphere: professional, yet casual, generous and sensitive to your comfort and vulnerabilities. He took care of my husband's shoulder pain in 1 or 2 visits--yes--Thomas said he didn't need to come back any more. He hasn't needed to go back, but has adopted parts of my cleansing eating habits perscribed by Thomas. He's generous with his no-nonsense nutritional & lifestyle guidance. He's always saying, "I love my job". This accupuncture and body work is more intense than I've had, and seems much more effective. The staff is generous, kind and gentle always. Even when they're doing intense body work on you, which can sometimes hurt to heal :-) Get ready for some level of pain if you have some old or messy structural or toxic issues. My advice--Go see him! And FOLLOW HIS ADVICE! And, if something isn't clear--ask. I even brought in lists of what Iwas doing/eating so he could mark them as a go or no-go. How I found them: I had been feeling weak after an accident/shock to my system, and had caught a chest ailment that the doctors and other highly recommended accupuncturists in Bethesda couldn't remedy. Also had painful, noticable cysts. My immune system was down, I was catching terrible colds and had a persistent cough. Heard about Thomas Accupuncture through our neighbors. I am now feeling much better, and--a great side-effect of his instructions--am back to my highschool petite dress size (down 4 sizes) with good energy. After months working with Thomas, a recent medical exam also showed the cysts are near non-existant now--and nothing to worry about--just normal anomalies. And, this year, my husband caught cold (he had been stressed and working long hours that week) and I didn't catch it! Follow Thomas' instructions and make sure you ask him your questions. Some deep work might make you even shout--like a pain-release shout--but that's just how that level of work goes. I once met a little old woman going in who had been seeing him since the late 80's after a bad accident. She said he saved her and she still goes in her senior years for maintainance. Some of the exercises and stretches he teaches me seem like they'll hurt or injure--he pushes you for the result--and he knows how far U can go--but they really work and I've never had any adverse effects. Some folks need a 100-day cleanse with treatments. If you're really toxic, it may take longer. The herbs they use (if you need them) are high quality and are nothing to prepare--like instant tea--some of them are bitter, but U get used to it. What I use now is a pleasantly bland taste.

He saved me from 2 major operations, a back operation and intestinal operation. He has walk in hours from Mon-Fri 9-6, Sat 9-2. He is caring and totally honest. His prices are incredibly reasonable. He's had 10 years of acupuncture training in Korea. He teaches people how to do it, he's that good.
