    We had a loud repetitive noise under our vehicle while away on vacation 500 miles away from home up north (yeah, NY plates). Took it to Gregorys General Auto Repair to have it checked out. Gregory spent 1/2 hour thoroughly looking our vehicle over (short test drive and up on the lift). Although he couldn't put his finger on exactly what the problem was, he ruled out anything major and assured us that we could get home without worry. Cost for diagnosis - simply a handshake! Honestly being from NY in rural Virginia we were at the mercy of the repair shop. Gregory could have taken advantage of the situation charged us hundreds for whatever service/repairs he could think of; he didn't do that. From our experience, Gregory is about as fair and honest of an individual that you will find.

    My ���Hall of Fame��� list at Haley Toyota of Farmville:
    - Christie (spelling?) ��� Service Manager who responded to my request for urgent/expedited service ��� she recognized the out of the ordinary emergency nature of my request, recognized me as a valued customer who deserved a little bit of extra consideration in this situation and arranged with the service technician and parts department to ���make it happen���.
    - Richard ��� Lead Toyota Tech. Richard agreed to repair my Sequoia even though his schedule was ���fully booked���. Richard agreed to work past normal hours if necessary to get me running next day upon parts arrival. Immediately upon arrival with my Sequoia on
    the flatbed tow truck, Richard recognized the importance of properly locating the offload and opened a service bay to offload the Sequoia directly into that service bay (a consideration not usually extended by most dealerships). The offload directly to a service bay is significant because a ball joint failure renders a vehicle unmovable on its own wheels. Therefore it is critical to offload where the vehicle will be repaired. If not, it becomes very difficult and unsafe to later relocate the vehicle via a floor jack. A floor jack relocation could cause additional damage to brake system components being stressed while moving the vehicle. Richard also personally assisted in the tow truck offload which was not an easy job. He immediately placed my Sequoia up on the rack ��� removing stress to the failure wheel components and making the Sequoia ready for immediate service upon parts arrival. Finally, Richard spent about 10 minutes with me discussing the condition of the vehicle and approaches to service under circumstances with a critical ball joint failure. Noteworthy -- Richard did this for me at the end of the month while being flooded with end of month safety inspection requests. A different Dealership in Lynchburg said they could not help me because that Lynchburg Dealership claimed they had too many end of month safety inspections ��� I suppose that kind of says it all.
    - Sam ��� Parts Manager with initiative and foresight! Obtained required parts overnight, (another dealership in Lynchburg said this was impossible). Had the foresight to order both the left and right lower ball joints even though only the right had failed. Sam realized that this type failure is best addressed in pairs ��� I later expanded the repair to ball joint replacement on both sides with Richard���s agreement.
    Haley has a new, loyal customer. I have owned Toyotas for many years so I am a long time Toyota customer. In this situation, I had the critical ball joint failure in my driveway at our new residence near Lynchburg. I needed the vehicle ASAP to use it as a tow vehicle for a high priority project. Since we are new to the Lynchburg area, my wife and I started calling Dealers, starting with Lynchburg and moving out by distance from our home. Sometimes in life, you just get a fortunate outcome ��� in this case I feel blessed discovering Haley���s of Farmville and all the great folks I met at Haley���s. They are now my Go-To Dealership even though they are 30 minutes farther from my home than the dealership in Lynchburg. Thank you Haley���s for responding to my request for urgent attention to my vehicle. I���ve owned five Toyotas, currently owning a Sequoia and Prius. I���ve discovered that the attitude of the employees is most often consistent with, and a reflection of, the attitude of management and ownership. So in addition to being my preferred service location, I am certain when it comes time to replace my vehicles, you will be the first place I visit.

    Berglund Toyota - Lynchburg
    Well it didn���t go. It could have and since I am new, moving to the Lynchburg area, Berglund could have earned a new customer (I am very loyal to my service providers when I determine I am receiving consistent quality service). Berglund did not seem to be interested in my business. I had a ball joint failure on my Sequoia. Fortunately it happened in my driveway, but happened on a Friday Morning and I absolutely needed the vehicle for towing purposes ASAP. Called Berglund. Explained could have vehicle in their shop in a couple hours via AAA towing. Response from Berglund: Can���t get parts till Monday (which I later discovered was not true because another dealership got them overnight) and can���t look at vehicle until Tuesday. Kept giving excuses about end of month safety inspections. I understand service priorities, but I explained this was an out of the ordinary emergency job and I even offered to pay a premium for expedited service. I always schedule my service well in advance so asking for immediate service is a rare request from me ��� not an abused request -- only done when truly needed. The attitude of the Service Writer could be characterized as ���not my problem ��� we���ll get to you when we feel like it if we feel like it���. Just my impression, but I discovered after inquiry with a dealership near Farmville that the Service Department can be very helpful to emergency situations if they wish to do so. Sorry Berglund, but this is how you responded to me as a long time Toyota owner who in this one critical situation needed an exception from the dealership. However, thankfully, a dealership near Farmville picked up your slack ��� my vehicle is currently being repaired by them and I expect even though they are an additional 30 minute drive from my home, they will now be my go-to Toyota Dealership. Sometimes management needs to recognize when good customers need a little bit of out of the ordinary help ��� especially if they are willing to compensate the shop for that expedited service.

    We are happy with them. It’s very personal service. Mr. Gregory goes out of his way to try to work with the customers. He will work us in. I am retired and my wife is working. To work on her car, I have to swap cars with her. He is quiet willing to work with us and get us in. He has gone overboard on taking time to work through problems with the cars, when I have had cars with him. He goes the extra mile for service. I have suggested him to people that have moved to town who are looking for somebody to work on their car. I don’t recommend folks quickly. I just retired as local Presbyterian minister so for the minister to recommend somebody he has to walk a very fine line. I really like Mr. Gregory. I think he does good work. I would give him a triple A rating over the 12 years we have lived here and worked with him. Once the car has gone out of warranty, we find that he does excellent work with a variety of different models and types of cars.

    Excellent. I have dealt with this company for 17 years. I have purchased vehicles and utilized all of their available services......body shop, sales, etc. They were a previous Dodge dealership who lost their dealership due to Chrysler's bankruptcy. They have been in the Dodge business since 1915. Always excellent service and what I consider value for the cost. I have complete trust in these folks. A typical home town dealership who respects and values their customers.
