    Plotsky, Dr. David F.
Dr. P is the best pediatric ophthalmologist that we have worked with in the past few years.  His office waiting area is clean, full of toys and books and the kids love hanging out while they wait to see him or while their eyes dilate.  The office staff is friendly and I have not once had a billing issue or filing error (I can't say the same for any other provider).  He himself is warm, compassionate and puts all of us at ease no matter what the issue.  He's simply the best.

Excellent service. On time appointments. Doctor has a warm and friendly personality. He answers all questions and explains things that may not be clean. Interacts well with my children.

    Montgomery County Eye Care
The office is very professional and provide good care. My only issue would be appointment availability and the hours the optician works. Other than that, a great office!

    Kern, Dr. Melissa D.
Visited Dr. Kern to check my 9 month old son's eyes. He appeared to be having focusing issues and our pediatrician suggested we visit a pediatric eye specialist. We had a very short wait in a very clean and comfortable waiting room. Dr. Kern is extremely friendly and put my mind at ease immediately. She seemed very confident and knowledgable. She did her exam quickly but thoroughly so as to not push my squirming baby past his patience limit. When she dilated his eyes, we had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for them to full dilate. She had a tv with children's videos as well as books set up to entertain kids while they waited—it was very helpful. She diagnosed my son with pseudo-strabismus and asked me to follow up in 6 months. She told me his eye muscles were functioning perfectly and even showed me how to tell if they are focusing properly, which I could quickly see for myself they were. My son was two months premature so I was thrilled that Dr. Kern has a good grasp on what this meant for his developmental progress and seemed to understand common complications involved with babies born at his gestational age. I highly recommend Dr. Kern for any eye issues, especially pediatric. She is great!

    Benshir, Dr. Marsha D.
I found Dr Benshir's ad in the Frederick Child free magazine when we relocated to MD in the summer of 2011. I finally called in Januray 2012. I got an appointment in February and "the ANSWER"! Dr. Benshir not only tested my child's vision, but also ran some simple, fun "tests" that ultimately resulted in the diagosis and following treatment for cross dominance, focusing with both eyes, etc... WOW! Very thorough, good with my child, explained to me thoroughly. I now have an appointment for my other child whose eyesight has been rapidly becoming more and more myopic every 6 months! I am hopeful that Dr. Benshir can see what other optometrists have not.

Major Bonus- there is parking! And it is FREE! The  staff was very friendly. It located on Columbia Pike, right off of Hwy 7. So great location if you are in Arlington, Falls Church or Annandale.

    PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY
DR HUTCHEON PERFORMED AN OUTSTANDING JOB IN EXAMINING MY SON'S EYESIGHT. SHE THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED MY SON'S PROBLEM (SLIGHT CASE OF NEAR SIDEDNESS) AND WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE.

    Keys, Dr. Marshall P.
He is a leader in his field. His particular specialty is when kids are born cross eyed. He is also a general pediatric ophthalmologist. He relates well to the kids. He is professional and very, very good. He is very thorough.

    Steven Bullard MD
He really likes getting to know the child and earning the child's trust. He understands that it's not just about skill, it's also about bedside manner. But he does have top skills; he was recommended by my pediatrician who is the leading pediatrician in the area. His prices are reasonable. I did give him a B in punctuality but only because since he has great bedside manner and tries to earn your child's trust, it does take a little bit longer.
