    Physicians & Midwives Alexandria
Getting an appointment is not difficult however getting time with the doctors is tough. Its mostly the nurse practitioners who will be doing the exams and send report. It seems that you cannot get a doctor consultation, Ultra Sound exam and report discussion on the same day but have to make three different appointments. In all if you are looking for personalized care and have complicated pregnancy this may not be the place for you

    Physicians & Midwives Alexandria
Overall, they're good in all matches.  They're insisting on inducing on my due date and I think that was too soon.  It was a four day induction and ended up with a C-section which is one of the reasons I want it with the practice to avoid C-sections.

    Elliott, Dr. Jeffrey J
I have been seeing the doctor or about 6 years. They are both very knowledgeable. They have seen me through having all three of my children. The practice is well run. The staff is nice and friendly. I have only had extremely positive experiences with them. I have had no problems with scheduling.

    Inova Alexandria Hospital
The convenient location, valet parking, and easy access to the maternity suites were just the beginning of a wonderful experience with Inova Alexandria. We had our child there and it was a great experience. The staff and nurses were accommodating and went above and beyond what they were required to do. Our doctor was great and knew the hospital and staff well. The delivery went well and the recovery process was made easier by the hospital and staff.

    Thiel, Dr. Melissa J
This is my first time seeing Dr. Thiel. She was very pleasant, has a great bedside manner and I felt she genuinely cared for my well being. She will also take the time and discuss things with you after your appointment which seems to be rare in a lot of doctors today. She also discovered a rather serious condition that I did not know I had that other doctors missed. Will be going to her again. Only drawback is she does not take any insurance, including Medicare.

    Greenbriar OBGYN PC
The first visit went okay. I met with Connie and went over my medical history. She seemed nice and took my information. She later did an exam. I chose to do a blood screening chromosomal test at 10 weeks and the office called to inform me that I would need to repeat the test since fed ex did not pick up my sample. I had to come back to the office and repeat the same blood test a few days later. This wS a very stressful time and I also am about 50 minutes from this clinic. My second visit I met with Dr. Shin. I found her to be arrogant and she rarely addressed my concerns. Instead, she asked me to call my general practitioner. She talked over me, interrupted me, and did not listen to any of my concerns. She also informed me that I needed to watch my weight since I gained 35 pounds during my first pregnancy. This is after I mentioned to her that I had not gained any weight in my first trimester so far and have actually lost weight since becoming pregnant. I am 5ft 10 and 150lbs- at a very healthy bmi, she advised me to excersise daily and only eat low fat, healthy food...yet I hadn't gained any weight at 12 weeks pregnant. She also told me the dr who delivered my daughter should not have induced me early due to hypertension. I found her very rude and condescending. After learning that the practice does not do any ultrasounds or lab work in their office and that dr shin was not someone who I would like delivering me, I decided to leave this practice. I would not recommend them.

    Womens Health Corp
I came to Women's Health Corp after an upsetting experience with my other obgyn office of over ten years. I was hesitant to switch, but knew that it was time. Right off the bat, I was really impressed with Women's Health Corp. Friendly and punctual front desk staff, clean office, and organized paperwork. Dr. Hennessy was wonderful and took time to have a thorough and thoughtful conversation with me while listening to my concerns. Whereas at the other practice, I felt like I was a number being rushed in and out, WHC was very accommodating and made me feel very comfortable.

    Tomlinson, Dr. H Evangeline
She is wonderful and fantastic.  I think she is open three times a week now.  She is great.  She takes whatever time is necessary when you are in her office and you feel like you are the only person that she got.  She allows enough time for every patient.  She spends time discussing whatever health issues you want to discuss.  She makes sure that you get whatever needs to be done.  She makes referrals when needed.  She is very helpful.

    Cutting, Dr. Mary E.

This was my second visit with Dr. Cutting. She was helpful in prescribing medicine to combat menopausal symptoms. While her bedside manner could definitely use some work, she gets the job done, and that's all that really matters at the end of the day.

    Capital Women's Care

I hate going to the Gynecologist but this practice always makes me feel comfortable. They instruct you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out/ update paper work. I have never waited more than 10 minutes past my appointment time to be called back and seen by my doctor. There are comics and pictures on the ceilings of the exam room which definitely helps relieve any anxiety. The ancillary staff are also friendly and professional. I have been going to this practice for 8 years and have been seen by 5 clinicians at this practice (4 MD's and 1NP). There is a combination of male and female medical providers. I regularly see the nurse practioner who is wonderful. Every clinician I have had a medical visit with has had great bedside manner, is responsive to my questions, and gives clear explanations. I moved to Philadelphia for 3 years for a job contract and I still only go to this practice for my gynecological check ups and any acute issues I may have.
