  This was the third time we used Lakewood. We had Tim come out to look at our gutters, as they were leaking and having rain spill over them in different spots around the house. Upon inspection Tim found a few problems, and the cause of the leaks. He recommended seamless gutters with the leaf guards on top, and to also correct the corner spots on our roofing which didn't have the proper weather and ice guards laid underneath the shingles. I also asked him to look at our sunroom exterior door, to see he could put a storm door on. He has his proposal to us promptly and worked very patiently with us as throughout this time we had a baby. He worked around our schedule and had great communication with us. The roofing work was done one day, gutters were done within a few days of that. Tim came out and installed the door himself once it warmed up a little bit, at my request. Since this job Tim has come out and performed another estimate for some exterior work on the house. Tim has always been professional, confident, competent and knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy in all the work he has done for us. They may not be the cheapest when you go around getting estimates from companies, but I believe their cost is reflected in their services and evident in the quality of work completed. We will always call them when we need work done on the house.

  This was our first time using Sunshine Contracting for our home renovation needs. I looked at several different proposals, but ultimately chose Sunshine Contracting to update our siding/trim, gutters/downspouts and windows. To say that we are happy we did is an understatement������ecstatic or thrilled��� better describe our feelings about the end result. Sunshine Contracting provided everything that we expected and more. We chose Sunshine Contracting because of their already positive reputation in our neighborhood, a quality and professional sales experience with Frank, competitive pricing (though not cheapest), and because of the expert and stress-free scheduling, ordering and follow-up processes with Nate for siding and Cathy for windows. Kevin and his team did a fabulous siding removal and installation job that was completed with respect to our home and property, a great attitude and pure professionalism. The highly dedicated and professional team always had a great attitude and worked diligently daily to complete the job. Our home looks fabulous! Santos and his team were equally professional and hardworking and completed window removal and installation with amazing artistry, precision and quality detail. This work was completed faster than we would have anticipated and looks great! At completion, Sunshine Contracting has proven itself to us as a ���first class��� operation! Our home looks even better than we anticipated with our new siding/trim, gutters/downspouts and windows. We anticipate many more years of happiness in this home and look forward to Sunshine Contracting for our future home renovation needs.

  Toby Schaefer and Josh Burdett are knowledgeable, conscientious, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. My roof job was more complicated than the typical roof replacement, and I talked to several firms before going with Schaefer Burdett. They did not have the lowest price, but it was worth paying a little more to hire a company that knows what it's doing and cares about doing high-quality work. We are very pleased with the results and I have recommended them to my friends.

  Heinz Home Improvements and Services, Inc.

  We met Chris Heinz after sustaining storm damage to our roof. Heinz Home Improvements and Services, Inc. (HHI) was doing some remodeling for a neighbor's house, so we approached Chris for a quote at our house. It was important to us that we could see the high quality of work he was doing at the neighbor's place. Chris completed an estimate to repair the roof damage at the same time the insurance adjuster completed his estimate. Comparing the two, and viewing the damage myself, it was immediately clear the insurance company had missed several items and significantly underestimated the repair cost. We tried to work with the Insc. Co. directly, but since I'm not a roofing professional, they had an advantage. Since we couldn't come to an agreement, we contacted the Co. and told them we were naming Chris as our agent, able to speak on our behalf for all matters relating to the insurance claim. Chris then contacted the Insc. Co. directly. I'll shorten the story by simply saying that, with Chris' professionalism and knowledge, the additional photos he sent of the needed repairs, and copies of the local building code, the Insc. Co. paid for EVERY item on Chris' original list. In the end, the Insc. Co. paid SEVERAL thousands of dollars more than they would have without Chris' expertise. Based on this experience, we immediately asked Chris for estimates for a number of home improvements we'd been considering. These included: 1. A complete replacement/upgrade of the electrical service to the building, bringing it up to current code and adding new 120V and 240V service to the garage. Chris worked directly with the electrical inspector, similarly to his work with the Insc. Co., making the process seamless and easy. We have a number of pets that require heat lamps all day, and Chris even offered his own generator to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable while the electricity was necessarily disconnected from the house. 2. External wooden surfaces and trim. HHI completely replaced most of the visible wooden structure of the building which required significant woodworking (cutting, shaping, fitting) to completely replace outdated materials. 3. Window upgrades, repairing/replacing original wooden window frames with modern windows. 4. A complete replacement of all gutters and all supporting structure attached to the building. 5. Tree removal (two dead/dying trees in the back yard). 6. Exterior door replacement. HHI completely removed and replaced the outside back door with a special order replacement. HHI completed the entire project in about 4 hours. Chris' team is professional, personable, and timely. EVERY time I had a question about anything, Chris and/or his team were immediately over to the house to explain, adjust, and/or do whatever was required to make sure his customer was satisfied. His crew showed up at 7:00 one morning to answer a simple question I had the previous day about the electrical work in the garage. Heinz Home Improvements and Services is HIGHLY recommended. We will definitely be contacting HHI for our own future home improvement needs.
