    Avalanche Tech Solutions
Ofir, the owner, couldnt have been nicer and more professional. He showed up within an hour or so after I called him and quickly determined that my recumbent bike needed a replacement servo motor. The part was not in stock, but luckily, a Maryland distributor carried it. Ofer fixed the problem completely lack of sufficient tension when I was pedaling during his second visit and stayed within his estimates. Very much worth doing business with. Would definitely use again..

Excellent service. Initial response to my question came within hours and an appointment was set for a few days later. They came on time (I had to leave work so I really appreciated their promptness), worked quickly and efficiently and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Unfortunately, the treadmill had problems right away. I contacted them and they responded immediately and recommend that I contact the distributor instead. I did and they were correct -- the distributor had to come and replace a part that was defective from the start. I would definitely hire them again.

Lauren is wonderful, she is a great trainer and helps reach my goals. I have been training with her for over a year now and she works with my schedule and makes the work outs fun! I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great trainer.

    Sand & Steel Fitness
After walking by Sand & Steel Fitness a countless number of times while trekking between home and King Street, my wife and I decided to visit for an orientation and consultation.  We'd been looking for a place where both she and I could workout with a trainer together in pursuit of our personal fitness goals.  For me, I need to erase years of neglect and "there's always something more pressing than working out to do" syndrome, and for her, increased agility and overall physical fitness that will help her USTA tennis game.  So, after arranging time for a visit, Paul gave us a tour of the facility and talked about the various programming options available--a veritable cornucopia of fitness and nutrition coaching, classes, & counseling!
After a couple of days of thinking things over and looking at the options, we elected for partner personal training, and were pleased to learn we would receive a 25% discount for booking sessions to workout together.  In the beginning, we worked with Paul, who assessed our fitness levels and designed workouts to help us achieve our goals.  Based on his background (read about it on their site), he has a deep understanding of the science behind the movements and provided helpful tips for our form along the way.  We left each session exhausted in that "whoa, I just really had an a**-kicker of a good workout" kind of way.
After almost six months of training at Sand & Steel Fitness, my wife and I are still thrilled with the staff and facility!  We are still training three days a week and are ecstatic about our increases in strength and agility, as well as in our overall fitness and health.  We've been fortunate enough to work with a number of the trainers on staff at Sand and Steel, but most often we train with Max and Rachel, who are both excellent coaches.  I also have to say that even with the increase in clients since we originally joined, we've seen no degradation in the quality of instruction or personalized attention that initially sold us on Sand and Steel.  Moreover, Paul, the owner, is working diligently to build a community of clients who are interested in leading a healthy lifestyle and socializing with like-minded folks.  He routinely sends out invitations to social events, training sessions, and other programs of interest to the gym's patrons.
I would be derelict if I didn't also mention the superb back-office support provided by Dawn, who is also a coach and co-owner of the gym as well as Rachel who is the fitness manager.  They are always super nice, helpful, and eager to help me with schedule adjustments.
Ultimately, the best measure of our happiness is our willingness to give them more of our hard-earned money--we've bought two additional 25-session packs of personal training and plan to keep buying them moving forward.  Overall, Sand & Steel has a great product: the facilities are great, there is a wide-array of classes, equipment and tools for use, and the coaching is top-notch.  If you're on the fence as to whether it's worth it, pay them a visit and learn about what they're trying to achieve with the business.  Then, sign up for a couple of personal training sessions and see if you like it....that's what we did and now we're hooked!

I first contacted StormFitness on a Sunday, Jessica contacted me within hours.  Communication from Jessica was always clear and prompt.  My trainer, Lauren H  was excellent, always on time, encouraging, and had a wide array of exercises, which she would demonstrate prior to me trying them.  She was always considerate of my back issues and always on the look out to make sure I was doing the experiences properly to not re-injure my back.

    Sand & Steel Fitness
I herniated several discs in my lumbar spine a few years ago and needed support getting back to exercise. I received personal training for a year from FT another gym in town which was adequate. I switched to Sand and Steel due to reputation, better training of Sand and Steel trainers, cost effectiveness and attractiveness of the facility. At Sand and Steel I have discovered the best in the business of local personal trainers.
At Sand and Steel I have received physical therapy quality personal training. I have gained multiple muscle to brain connections, learned to use the muscle targeted for each move (instead of recruiting others) which has led to movement improvements, protected me from injury and increased my overall muscle strength. Since beginning training with Sand and Steel I have continued to be able to be active no need for down time as there has been attention to train within my window of tolerance and there have been only improvements in my functioning. I especially appreciate the careful attention to my specific needs due to my age and injury related issues. I now have hope that I will be able to return to preinjury functioning and more.

    Sand & Steel Fitness
I've been attending Sand and Steel Fitness for over 6 months now.  i started to kick start weight loss and become functionally strong.  At 56 I had begun to slow down and lost mobility and I wanted to gain that back.  As you would know it I injured my shoulder a month into training.  Paul, my personal trainer, worked along side my physical therapist, adapted my workouts and kept me on track to make progress.  My shoulder is much better now and my overall functional ability has improved.  The programs Paul offers are always different, always changing which makes it exciting.  When I train alone I get lots of personal attention but the group class are great.  The class sizes are small, usually just 4 to a class.  With the class sizes so small even in a group class you get personal attention!  The atmosphere is encouraging.  I never feel pressured but encouraged and supported in reaching my goals. The gym is always tidy and clean and the staff friendly...almost becoming family.  I would recommend Sand and Steel Fitness to anyone.

I love it.  I've been going continuously since Feb 2013.  It is small woman's only classes and I receive the personal attention that I need and the support of the other women in the classes.  We have a lot of fun.  I have lost over 50lbs and most important, I'm stronger, healthier and committed to a new lifestyle

    Audrey Moore RECenter
The gym is great.  They have a lot more cardio machines than most of the other local REC centers, so you can almost always get on the type of machine that you want.   I have found that several  of the machines are in need of some maintenance, either tightening the belt on the treadmills, or fixing the built-in fans.  Several other local REC centers also have personal TV screens on cardio machines with Audrey Moore does not have.  They have a large area with free weights and a lot of weight machines available.

Their group exercise classes are great.  The instructors are very energized and approachable.

They have a very large pool, but they also have a swim team, so at times there may only be a few lanes open for lap swimming which can become crowded during the evenings.

Overall, the REC center is a great value and has a lot of options for staying in shape.

They have lots of equipment so really you don’t have to wait to use equipment. The trainers are excellent. It is a great gym. I pay them monthly. It is an excellent facility. I moved across the town, so it is not going to be convenient for me anymore because it is in the other part of the town now but I wish they had one in this part of the town.
