    I really appreciate Yates' experience, professionalism, and understanding. At my last scheduled maintenance appointment, Yates had notified me that my clutch bearing was going (I have a 2013 Outback with a manual trans) and would need to be replaced soon. Welp, about a month later (I was pushing it!) the clutch gave out completely in the middle of evening rush hour as I was still 10 miles from home. I coasted into a gas station and called Yates immediately. Chris handled the tow request and found a loaner for me to use while they performed a major repair -- replacing a (literally) melted clutch and associated parts. The cost wasn't cheap (and let me be clear in saying I am not a wealthy person and that $4800 is a significant financial event in my life), but after calling around to other shops for a gut check, Yates' estimate was competitive for such a major repair. And I swear the new clutch shifts more smoothly than the original. This repair would have been unavoidably costly anywhere, but I feel that Yates went the extra mile to make sure I could get home after my car failed, to make sure I had a loaner to use to get to work and do kid pickups and drop-offs without a hitch, and to make sure my transmission was better than new when finished. I know a clutch replacement is not an easy fix, especially these days with so few manuals on the road, and I appreciate their skill in getting the fit and adjustment just right. I plan to drive this car for as long as it will live, with help along the way from Yates.

    Amed, at Telegraph BP Auto Care, has been my auto mechanic for "eons". He took care of my E350 for most of the fifteen years that I owned it. Now he is keeping my Explorer happy. I recently had a couple episodes where my car battery completely drained for no apparent reason. Initial testing, in my driveway, indicated I might have had an aging battery or possible starter motor problems. This morning I gave the car to Amed, totally expecting to pay for a new battery, a new starter, labor, etc. A couple hours later he called and said the car was ready and I had needed only a new battery. The starter was fine. Yeah! Being a "mature" Af-Am female, I have sometimes felt that mechanics at other facilities were trying to take advantage of me (and my wallet). I have always been treated with courtesy and respect at this shop. In this instance, I could have paid for a starter and would have been non-the-wiser, but as usual, Amed and his crew were honest and above-board and saved me a lot of $$. I HIGHLY recommend Amed at Telegraph BP Auto Care, great service, very reasonable prices, courtesy, honesty and they stand by there work. Attributes that are, unfortunately, difficult to find in today's market. The final $$ was for a NEW battery, environmental shop cost, and only $20 in labor (for the roadside service, elec check and battery replacement)!!! AWESOME! I am in no way connected to this business nor it's owners other than being a very satisfied customer. Go there. They treat you right.

    Dropped it off in afternoon. Said perhaps tomorrow they would finish. Call received two hours later. Car work completed and ready for pickup at no charge. The brake fluid was low, and it needed refilling. So they refilled the fluid at no cost to me. It had been there 4 weeks ago for a leaking tire, and an oil change. I guess they figured they should have checked the brake fluid then.......

    I am a dealership first person so I had no questions they would move quickly to get my vehicle back to me. INstead they spent 4 weeks applying for more money from insurance and claiming they couldnt start work until they wanted to stop applying for supplementals. The whole time Im begging for an estimate of time for the repair. First Bob had no answers, he couldnt say. Then after another couple weeks he said repairs take a week of labor for every thousand dollars in cost. So by now he had a bout $4800 in the bank and said i can expect 4 weeks. But he never started the repair even at that time. Even with me begging please. That car is my business. The note will be due again, blah blah basically. They dont care because he then file for another thousand dollars. So you mean now the repair youve yet to start since before Thanksiving will take 6 weeks from whenever the insurance company stop conceding to your requests for more money. Im sorry I dont have that time, I cannot afford the time. Even though insurance pays the bill this car pays me and I dont havee 6 weeks from whenever for nobody. Also, its worth mentioning. Bob works with an apprentice Mike. I was told to speak with the apprentice who included repairs for the completely opposite side of the vehicle than had been struck causing mroe delay. I emailed him the request and he could clearly see the damage to the drivers side but he still included passenger side repairs. More delays. These people do not care about your time. They just care about gouging the insurance company. Which i dont care about, do you. But you have to at least try to be expeditious. There is alot of competition who will come get the car from the dealership for free, for a stab at that business. You never have to beg a body shop. Ever
