    L&P Auto Restorations
Based on my experience as a customer, I do not recommend L&P Auto Restoration. In Aug, 2012, L&P Auto Restoration agreed to restore my 1979 Dodge Midnite Express for $22,000 (Plus $5000 to replace the engine). After numerous false promises, they eventually returned my truck in Aug 2017, total cost was $34,000. Les requested additional funds during the restoration process. Les failed to inform me of increased costs until I requested the information. Project management was abysmal. Les promised to have the truck done in May 2015, May 2016 and May 2017. the first year they accomplished practically nothing. The second year they made minimal progress. The third year they delivered a substandard product. Communication was nil, and didnt convey actual status of the project. Sequencing of work made little or no sense. For example, L&P told me they would send the transmission out to be rebuilt for $1300. Early in the process they requested funds to cover the work. In the spring of 2017, they took the transmission out of the truck (the second time) and sent it out to be rebuilt. The truck was never a priority. The truck was completely disassembled, bead blasted and painted. The final paint job has orange peel on potions of the bed. The alignment of body parts is marginal. There are waves in the hood. The interior of the passenger door was scratched during reassembly. Even though the truck was completely disassembled, L&P failed to replace worn out items and their workmanship was marginal. A condensed list of issues follows. When the truck was delivered, the gear box was held on by one loose bolt. I couldnt believe it eitherso I took pictures. The truck was actually dangerous and should never have been driven. The gear box, steering column and speedometer were worn out and required rebuilds which were not identified/corrected by L&P. The screws holding on the NOS grill fell out of their holesas they oversized the holes. The wiring was pieced together; there was no soldering or connectors, just electrical tape. Instead of using a long strip of wire to cover long distances, multiple pieces were sliced together. The coil springs were not properly seated or indexed, hence the truck leaned to the left approximately 2 inches. The suspension was reassembled with damaged/bent parts. Even though I was charged for an alignment, there was no way to align the vehicle with the damaged suspension. The new battery failed to hold a charge as the A/C blower and radio were hot wired to the wrong side of the worn-out ignition switch. The new radio antennas lead was broken so the C/B radio failed to work. The buddy bracket, which holds the center seat in place, was not reinstalled or returned. The new speedometer cable was damaged during assembly, so the speedometer failed to work. The DODGE hood emblem was not re-installed, the holes were closed with body putty, but were obvious and looked terrible. L&P failed to return parts they removed/replaced. Most notably, the intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor from the old motor. It took over five months and in excess of $5000 to fix everything L&Ps marginal work.

    Huntington Auto Body and Paint
excellant! My back passenger door I scraped and put in a mild dent while trying to park in a tight parking spot (the cement pillar won, my car lost !) . These folks gave a quote the was lower than any others and they were able to take me in within a few days. They repaired the door in 2 days, there is now no sign of any damage, also .... I think they may have taken out a door dings on the front door, since that whole side looks like it came out of the show room! PLUS, they are very nice!

They did a great job repairing and repainting my car's rear bumper. I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism of the staff I worked with. The car was ready ahead of when they had told me it would be. I note that the General Information listed here on the Angie's site at the time I was looking said they did not do free estimates. I called the shop and asked about that, and they said they did, and I went over and did indeed receive a free estimate. So check on that when you call, to see if free estimates are currently offered. The final price they presented after the work was done was agreeable with the estimated price, and they honored the Angie's list discount coupon, although I didn't present that until I went to pick up the car. The shop is also very convenient to the Huntington Metro station, which was very helpful, as I needed to ride the bus back home and then back over there when I dropped off and picked up the car.

    Huntington Auto Body and Paint
Huntington Auto Body is fantastic. They negotiated with my insurance company to ensure that the entire front panel was replaced, not just repaired. They went the extra mile to make sure that my car looked just like new.

I took the car to maybe 4 different places, asking for an estimate and how long it would take to get the job done. Best Auto gave me the lowest estimate and had the work done and done perfectly in 4 days!

    Huntington Auto Body and Paint
Estimate was provided immediately upon visiting shop. Work was performed exactly as required/desired. Cost was a couple hundred dollars less than the body shop that the insurance company sent us to get estimate/repairs and accomplished in half the estimated time provided by that body shop. Work was performed as soon as fender part arrived, not the 10 days wait required by insurance company specified shop. Quality was excellent. Absolutely no issues.

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
I talked to John as Maaco and he priced out all the work and when I wasn't able to afford the work he gave me a great price. The work took longer because of the amount of the painting needed but when I got the car back there were no issues and the job on the car was great

    Premier Collision Repair
Awesome! I can't say enough good things about Premier Collision Repair. I found them on Angie's List, and once again I am very happy. Jerel and his team(sorry I cannot remember the other names) were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and honest and most importantly-handiwork. They are very customer focused, which is evident in how they run their business. My husband's vehicle was repaired, ON TIME, at a fair price AND price quoted, with no work for me on my part, other that writing the check (My repair was not an insurance claim - my teen  did damage to the car and we paid out of pocket). From the estimate, to scheduling, to keeping me updated on the repair status, and quality of workmanship (it looks amazing - paint match is perfect as well as body work), Premier Collision Repair and Jerel took care of me the whole way and kept their word. The whole experience has exceeded my expectations.  I hope that this is a one time visit, but if it's not,  I will know who to call. I would not hesitate to recommend Premier Collision Repair or to use them again. Thank you!!
As a footnote -Jerel even helped coordinate a complete detail, with another vendor, for my vehicle, so I could surprise my husband with a beautiful, clean, ride prior to pick up. This was the "icing on the cake." His vehicle looks incredible- thanks again!

    Precision Collision, Inc
    Quality and service.
Tasso (GM) and Gail made the  car repair process easy and effortless. The estimate was sent directly to my insurance and ,since they are an approved shop, no further action was required by me.  With their guidance, I was able to arrange a rental car and have it at the shop when I dropped off my car. Enterprise has a satellite office on site with the entire  process taking less then 10 min !
The work performed was outstanding. This is my wife's new car and I felt really bad about scratching the paint. The shop made a hero out of me. When we picked the car up, it looked better then the day we bought it! She forgot about the scratches (for now).
This is a locally owned business with committed and caring employees. I hope I don't need their services again. I highly recommended them if you do.

    Jacks Auto Body
I recommend using Jack?s Huntington Auto Body & Paint for any body work you might need done to your car.  I went to Jack?s because I was looking for a quote for repairs and painting done to my car's front bumper, hood, a few scratches on the driver?s door, a dent of the roof, and some damage to back passenger door and fender.  Since I needed to have so much work done to the car and since I was going to pay for it without using insurance, I wanted to have the work broken down in to 5 quotes (based on the proximity of the work) and a 6th quote that included all of the work.  Jack quickly put the quotes together; explained which repairs might be more costly than the estimate (if additional work was needed); and provided a range for what the cost might be if there was additional work.  I felt very comfortable with the accuracy of the quote and with what the high end of the cost could be, if additional work was needed. (Please note: Jack explained that due to the damage to my car?s hood, some parts would need to be removed to discover how extensive the damage was and only then could a complete quote be put together.  I had heard this from other auto body shops I had visited to get quotes so this did not concern me.)  Before getting the work completed, I went to 4 auto body shops and the quote Jack?s was within $50 of the best price.  In the end I elected to go with a different body shop only because it was in a slightly more convenient location for me, but if the locations of the 2 body shops were switched, I would have selected Jack?s without any hesitation.
