Tracy was great! Contacted her on a Monday and set up a time to meet on Thursday. I wanted 3 pillow covers made pretty quickly. I supplied the fabric and the pillow forms and she bought zippers. I asked if she could have them done in one week because i had guests coming and she was happy to oblige. Pillows were indeed done in one week and they looked fabulous! Very happy with the work and Tracy was lovely.

Tracy was lovely and professional! Her work on my wedding dress made it look so much better on my body, and I felt a lot more confident and pretty in it. It was an aspect of the dress I didn't think even *could* be fixed and Tracy altered it in such a professional way that the dress looked perfect.
Her rates are fair and she was able to fit us in at the last moment, and meet our tight-ish deadline, despite the fact she was about to go on vacation herself! I would definitely use her again.

Pants were not ready when promised.  I had to provide the zipper.  When the pants were returned, one pant leg looked like it had been stepped on by a shoe.  Note, before I brought the pants to the tailors, I washed and hung them up to air dry. I then immediately placed them in a bag and took them to the tailors with the pre-purchased zipper. So, before the pants could be worn, I had to wash them again (because I do not have a wash machine, I had to pay $2.00 to wash them) in a laundromat.

The staff was very professional and thorough in determining the length the gown should be and in marking it.  They offered to create a hook and loop to hold up the train of the gown after the ceremony, an option we hadn't even thought of.  They provided an rough estimate of what the alteration would cost and explained how the charge for such services--and the cost came in under the estimate and the dress was ready before the date we had requested it.  I would definitely use this tailor again.

Quality was fine this time and garments were finished on time. Its hard to know if the method by which the seamstress suggested to take in a garment was the only way to do it or even the best way. I wonder if the method the seamstress suggested was just the easiest way for her to make the alterations.

Previously, when I brought in many clothing items at the same time, the seamstress would give me a date when all of the items would be ready and I would come on the date only to find that some items had not been finished. This has occurred on multiple occasions so I try to bring four or fewer items at one time.

The seamstress is very friendly. Sometimes the seamstress' sister or sister-in-law works with her. I usually ask for leftover material (e.g., from hemming) and the seamstress has always complied.

I have tried multiple tailors after my long time tailor at Seven Corners retired to Korea and left the business to a relative. I settled on this one for women's clothes because its location is nearby. I did not have a satisfactory experience with alterations on men's clothing - shirts done wrong; pants were ill-fitting.

    MY-LE'S NEEDLE
The zipper to my son's Halloween costume wasn't working properly. I assumed it was a cheaply made zipper but My-Le examined it and new right away that the zipper was fine but the hook on the zipper track was wrong. She was able to find proper hook and now the zipper works great! Thank you My-Le!

    SCHWARTZ TAILORING INC
It was pricey for an alteration, but they pretty much had to take apart the entire dress, including a double lining and built-in boning, so it was probably a fair price. They also got it done for me in just 3 days because I was leaving town and needed it, whereas they normally require a week. The place seemed pretty outdated, nothing fancy, run by an older couple, but they did a really good job- you can't tell that the dress had been altered at all, and it was a good fit.

My son needed to have the sleeves lengthened on a blazer that was a gift.  He took it to the cleaners near our house and they told him there wasn't enough material to do this.  They just wanted to lengthen the sleeves as much as possible, whether the end result really fit him or not.  I told him to bring the blazer home and I'd check Angie's List for a tailor.
King's Park Tailoring had an excellent Angie's List rating.  It isn't that far from our home and their hours are very accommodating.  My son said two women helped him.  They didn't indicate there would be a problem lengthening the sleeves.  They also made some adjustments to the back of the blazer.  The blazer was ready by the end of the week.  It fits him perfectly.  Both my husband and son are well over 6' tall and have very long arms.  They almost always need to have their jackets tailored.  We'll be using King's Park Tailoring for these alterations from now on.

The suit was finished on time however they didn't do a very good job with the hem of the pants. There is puckering on both pant legs. Definitely not the work of a good tailor. When I buy my suits at Bloomingdales I pay much less for the alterations and the quality is much better.

They were in worse condition then when I dropped them off. We agreed they would try one more time to repair the afghans. I was disappointed they called and said, "We cannot repair these and to come get your dirty things." I felt this was uncalled for and advise people not to go here.
