    Bargain Movers
This was my 29th move covering 2 US Navy careers, so I am pretty familiar with moving. The three man team showed up on time and ready to go. It was a long, full day, but they worked really hard without so much as a rest break. They were pleasant, and seemed to enjoy their work. Throughout this process, the team wrapped all the furniture carefully with blankets and shrink wrap, and some cardboard when extra protection was necessary. At the destination, they were again very careful with all the furniture pieces. I'd have no hesitation using this company to move my precious furniture.

    Metropolitan Moving & Storage
Metropolitan did a fantastic job! They were on time and the guys were very friendly and professional. They were very efficient and accommodating; they cheerfully moved things around for us when we had second thoughts on where we wanted things placed. Not a single broken glass or ding on any furniture (they are great packers)! (We knew that would be the case since that was our experience with them when they moved us into the townhouse four years prior. ). Top notch guys and top notch work. Metropolitans office staff were also great to work with on scheduling and related matters. You cant do better than Metropolitanwe will most definitely use them again and we recommend them to other folk who are moving.

    Metropolitan Moving & Storage
First and foremost, Cassie and Lena took their time to talk to me both before and after my services concluded and what can I say about these great group of people... You definitely get what you pay for! These guys are flat out awesome and heres why... when I tell you these guys mean business, you will be blown away on how fast they tackle their challenges. They are all very attentive to your needs in ensuring your things are carefully wrapped and ready to go. The winner... Once they load the truck, your stuff if not removed and shifted around or even put at risk of breaking... once loaded, they drive to their destination and ready the next day to off load... did I say Wow!!! Absolutely flawless operation and care for your things!!! I recommend this company to handle everything you need to ship!!! Thanks Guys!!!

Lloyd's Transfer & Storage- North American Moving
We found Lloyds on Angies List and they got a good review. After meeting several moving companies, we decided to go with Lloyds because they seemed like the best choice. One of their top selling features is that they had 4 movers instead of 3. We did not realize that the 4th mover was only a driver, very misleading. He stayed in the truck for 13 hours and waited on the movers to finish. Apparently, hes not supposed to help move. What a waste of manpower. Why do they need a separate driver? Couldnt one of the movers be the driver? We lived in 2 over 2 condo which means that our unit is on top of another unit with 2 stories. We have to climb 3 flights of stairs just to get to our living space. When we moved into the place, it took 5 guys to move everything in and our stuff was in storage so they just had to move our things only once-into the condo. When we moved out of the condo to a house, the moving company neglected to tell the movers that we were in a condo and the amount of stairs we had. Joe one of the managers confirmed that Gerald never put it on the paperwork. The three movers thought it was a house to house move. They were not prepared for the stairs. So not only did they have to move our things out of the condo, but also move into our house on the same day using only 3 men. One of the guys was a new guy. So the day started out late. They were supposed to start at 8:00 a.m. but they didnt get started until 10:30 a.m. Then instead of bringing a moving truck, they brought a U-Haul. Of course, all of our things did not fit in the U-Haul so they had to make 2 trips and they said themselves that we didnt have that much to move. Gerald assured us that the truck would be big enough to make one trip. Thank goodness, we moved all the pictures and some breakables ourselves. Their regular truck broke down so they had to use a U-Haul which was filthy! We were told to keep everything in the drawers because it helps the drawers stay in place. When the movers got here, the first thing they did was take all the drawers out with all of our underwear and clothes loose in the drawers. If I knew they were going to do that, I would have packed them all. Thank goodness, they did not spill the clothes from all of our drawers (we had 3 dressers). They started to move our things which took forever because they were so exhausted, I dont blame them this was purely managements fault. When they finally made it to the house, many things were coming out of the truck damaged. Our things were broken, dented, or stained. I understand things happen when you move, but the amount of things that was damaged was unreal. Most of our furniture was dented, stained, or bent at the corners. The truck had a black tar like dirt all over it and it got on everything. Our new storage ottoman that took forever to find had dirt and burned tire marks from the hand-truck all over the microfiber fabric because they didnt bother to wrap the furniture as the move went on. They broke the handle on our brand-new shampoo vacuum that we only used once. Now it looks so ghetto because we have to use zip tie to hold it together. Our white office desk, chair, and daybed was stained, ripped, or bent at the corners and edges. It was getting dark by the time they unloaded the first load. We knew they were exhausted so my husband gave them the option to finish the next day. They refused and said that they had to finish that day. They left around 8:00 p.m. to go back to get the second load. When they came back, it was dark and all the bugs were out and they were letting all the bugs come in our house. The ceiling was covered with bugs by the time they were done. On top of all this, my 2-year-old son was trying to sleep with all the door ringing from going in and out of the doors since we had a security system, and the noise of them moving in. By the end of the night, they were just beat and were not being careful. They were dropping and breaking things. They dented and scraped our brand new hard wood floors, made a huge scratch on our hardwood stair landing, banged up our walls, and damaged most of our things. They even damaged the few things they wrapped with the blankets such as 2 stainless steel automatic trash cans. We fixed the walls ourselves, but we couldnt fix the hardwood floors. One guy broke our sons dresser right in front of me and all he could say was, Well, need to put that on the claim form, very nonchalantly. Dishes and vases were broken and fragile boxes were not handled with care and at one point placed upside down. They used a moving truck belt buckle that was supposed to be used to hold furniture in place to move our things into the house and they would just drop it on our hard wood floor and dented it. Later we found out that it was the U-Hauls belt and they were not supposed to use it to move things. After the second trip, they didnt even cover the floor. They were so over it at this point. So, we contacted the company while all this was happening and we did not hear from them for 3 days. You would think they would call us first thing on monday to rectify the situation, but no word from management. My husband had to call them and seek them out. When he finally got a hold of them, they said they knew about it, but didnt bother to call back. He finally talked to Joe, their manager, and all he could say was Im sorry. He also billed us for $200 more than what we were supposed to pay. Thank goodness, my husband is stayed on top of it and corrected him. He wasnt trying to be dishonest, but should be more competent. They sent us a claim form but there was no follow up and no attempt to fix the damages. They said they would try to repair the floor, but would not commit to replacing them. You could not repair the broken hardwood, it had to be replaced. They told us to ask our builders to fix the floors. Now we have to file out a claims form after Gerald suggested that we dont take out insurance because their guys do not damage things. The customer service was poor and needs lots of improvement. Overall, it was the worst moving experience weve had and we moved plenty of times. Spend a little extra money and go with a reputable company with better customer service and Lloyds when you trash someones house do something about it. At least send someone out to look at the damage and assure them it will be taken care of. An, "I'm sorry" on the phone is just insulting... you all should really be ashamed of yourselves, mostly Joe and Gerald.

It turned out great! I like them. They're on time, professional, they made sure that the walls were not scuffed or damaged. They took care of the furniture, and moved in an efficient way. The movers were friendly and polite.

There were no additional fees. They were really really good. There were three guys and one truck. They worked like dogs. They worked so hard. I was moving from an apartment to a townhouse. I had already boxed and packed everything. But they had to move from a third floor of a garden apartment downstairs. They had to take a queen size bed and a treadmill. The treadmill was my major concern. Otherwise, I could have handled it by hiring two guys off the street. The treadmill weighs a lot and they had to go down three flights of stairs because we didn't have an elevator in the building. That was the only reason why I had to hire somebody because I thought, "I certainly can't carry that treadmill with somebody else and being a garden apartment, there was no elevator." They managed it. They really did a great job. There were three Russian guys. They just worked like crazy and fast and efficient. They weren't the top of the line. I didn't have a lot of furniture to move. I just had a lot of boxes. I didn't want to pay three times what I ended up paying, which is what other people would have charged me, at least, to move. I didn't have to worry about furniture being protected and everything. But these guys had a lot of boxes and a lot of bags and stuff to move but the big piece was that treadmill and they were really, really good.

    Mover Dudes Inc

Courteous, professional service.  Completed in a timely manner.  Staff were experienced and well-trained.  Moving is always stressful.  So it was nice, as a customer, to just sit back and just let the contractor do their job, without having to direct or supervise.  Would definitely use again.
