    Dream Design Construction LLC
Yong's team worked diligently/**** ** the project, and it was managed very well. The work was on schedule (actually a few days earlier) and the quality is superior. We plan to hire them again for our future projects.

Deska Foundation Repair and Basement Waterproofing
I was very hesitant to have this work done and they were actually my 5th estimate! They were on the lower end of cost but what really made the difference was the project consultant - Jim very clearly explained how the system worked and why we needed the particular type of system. He was very honest and educational about what we needed to have done. They ended up installing a perimeter drain system and a sump pump with a battery back-up just in case the power goes out during a storm. I was really impressed at how smooth and well coordinated the work was performed and I'm absolutely thrilled that I don't lose sleep over my basement flooding anymore!

    Abbey Design Center
I contracted Abbey Design Center (ADC) for a total basement remodel project. The final result was spectacular, and better than I could have ever imagined. ADC is a trustworthy, transparent, and professional organization. They have my strongest possible recommendation for all home remodel projects. My initial appointment was with Jimmy, ADCs General Manager. He was fantastic in explaining ADCs process and initial quote. Jimmys honesty and guidance for the project was invaluable. Justin, ADCs design engineer, drafted a flawless schematic for the project. He was flexible and ensured every detail of the design was to my satisfaction. Zee, ADCs interior designer, was exceptional in guiding me exhaustively through all options/selections for the project. Zees advice was critical in developing a stunningly aesthetic result. Once the project began, Robert--ADCs Project Manager--was a true professional. He consistently communicated updates and progress without any prompting. He aggressively kept the construction team on schedule and finished earlier than the anticipated completion date. He found every opportunity to go above and beyond to guarantee optimal satisfaction with all aspects of the project. Any questions I brought up were instantly acknowledged and answered. Robert is easily the best project manager I have had the pleasure to work with.

    Wedge Construction Inc
The experience was excellent from beginning to end. Tony met with us to discuss our options. He patiently answered our numerous questions and clearly described what we could expect, if we hired Wedge Construction to do the work. He provided a detailed estimate and agreeably made adjustments based on our input and requirements of the Association. The engineering drawings he provided helped us to obtain approval of our homeowner association without a hitch. His price was very competitive with the other estimates we received. Tony's people showed up on time, cleaned up each day, and provided a quality product. Tony came out personally more than once to answer questions and respond to any concerns. He was willing to accommodate us in ways that other contractors might not have. He used a subcontractor for the electrical work, and their work was completed with the same level of quality. Subsequently, Wedge did a small remodeling job in our kitchen, and the experience was equally good.

    HomeWork Remodeling Inc
Basement job was to big to complete. They did my deck so I gave them 'benefit of the doubt'. Thought it would be a good winter project. I was wrong! Cons: * Took over a year to complete. Started Oct 2014. Completed Dec 4, 2015. * Overpriced * Delays in responding to Emails * Would not hear or see work done for weeks * Plumbing was done incorrectly * Would ask specific questions in emails and would not receive response to specific questions. * Per email. "The bar was built off site and will be delivered and installed this week" (Sept 14, 2015). Bar was not built off-site but down in the basement and not complete until mid-November 2015 and not to my original design. Bar contractor was thrown in the middle of the project. * Drywall installation. Didn't hear from them for 4 weeks. Per email "Sorry for the delay the temperature had slowed us down there for a few weeks. We couldn't really do much because the drywall is the next big phase and we need the temperature to rise a little bit before we can do that." Didn't realize that low temps could cause a delay when the basement is in a controlled environment. * 1st completion date was end of March. Per email "If all goes well and we get good weather we should have everything but the bar complete by the end of this month." (March 3, 2015) * Confirmed tile and carpet at the end of July. Both not ordered until week of Sept 14, 2015. Per email. "We ordered the carpet, but because of the holiday we are still waiting for it to come in. It should be in this week, and it will be installed as soon as it arrives." A holiday causing the carpet delay is not an excuse. I know Home Depot is open on holidays. * My email to contractor "Therefore, I'll go ahead and keep the tile that I originally picked. Proceed with ordering, etc." (July 18, 2015). As mentioned above it wasn't ordered until Sept 14, 2015. * Had to change delivery times of furniture 2X because carpet wasn't installed. * Per email "We are in the process of completing your project. The tiles, bar, and trim should be completed this week." (Sept 14, 2015). Was not completed that week. * Per email " I will be getting you drawing for the way your bar will look." (Oct 29, 2014). My email to contractor "Can you send me a copy via email of the design plans for the bar as I want to confirm that the design is what I had decided upon." Contractors response "The drawing would not accurately show what the bar will look like when it is done." (Oct 14, 2015). Interpreted as he didn't have a copy to provide me. * Tile installation took 3 weeks to install. * To many 'punch out' items to list that needed to be fixed. Had them only do major ones. * Left dirty hand prints on ceiling when installing vents. I had to paint over them. * Didn't have them complete bathroom and construct shelves behind bar. Probably would have taken until 2016. * Estimated completion date Sept 1, 2015. Was not met. * Paid some money upfront. Do not do this. Bad mistake on my part. * Entire project, including final review was not completed until Dec 4, 2015. I did have to put it 'on hold' for a month (April 2015) but that is still no excuse for not completing the job in a timely manner. Pros: * Painting * Electrical work Note: Get many proposals. Did this for basement bathroom, shelves behind bar and other items that this contractor couldn't complete.

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
I've always wanted to have my own home theater and it took me years to just dream about it. Starting this big Basement Remodeling Aldie VA project feels pretty scary, however their team at Michael Nash Design, Build, & Homes guided me along the way. After 8 weeks, I can now finally enjoy watching movies with my family in a high-quality setting!

    Craft Kitchen & Bath
    1. The team from Craft was fabulous.  From our first meeting in the showroom to final clean up they were attentive to every detail and were diligent in helping us get exactly what we wanted in our basement.  Allen was the construction manager.  We met with him three times, once in the show room and twice in our home.  He was very responsive to making changes to the design drawings and asked us good questions which enabled us to make choices with small details that we might not have considered.  He took measurements twice before ordering the cabinets and kept us up to date with the shipping details from the cabinet manufacturer and promptly scheduled the installation as soon as all the material was on hand.  He forgot to tell us that we needed to buy the faucet set for the sink; he corrected this mistake by working directly with a supplier and had the model we wanted delivered for installation.  The installations crew as efficient and took care to control dust and cleaned up well each of the two days it took to do the job.  The Craft construction foreman met the counter top contractor and ensure that the measurement and fabrication was completed on time.  In all this was a great experience.  A++ to Craft Kitchen and Bath.

    Moss Building & Design
Moss did a wonderful job completing the unfinished areas of our basement (approximately 850 square feet), including a bedroom, sitting room and walk-in closet for my college age son, and a billiards room.  The project manager, Marty Fletcher, was terrific.  Marty assembled such a wonderful team to do the work that we really didn't see him that frequently, nor did we need to.  Ryan Pettit and David Prescott did the framing, carpentry and electrical wiring.  In addition to being extremely competent, they were truly nice guys that we enjoyed having in our home.  Their attention to the smallest of details and impressive productivity set the stage for a superior project outcome.  Moss subcontracted the drywall installation, priming and painting to VL Drywall, who were masterful, and used high quality Benjamin Moore paint on the walls.  Moss also subcontracted out the tile (12 x 24 inch) installation and it looks awesome.  I selected Moss for this job after reading Angie's List reviews of their work, and they did not disappoint.  Our neighbor has decided to use Moss to finish their basement based on our recommendation.  We wouldn't hesitate to use Moss for any future home projects, big or small.

    Aquaguard Waterproofing
Well, the wonderful customer service began once I spoke with John Bryant.  John sensed my angst and frustration since I had to pay for a portion of my hardwood floors to be removed to investigate the water damage.  John was courteous, listened and was not a "salesperson" but instead wanted to help me get to the bottom of the issue.  Although Aquaguard Waterproofing mainly services below the ground foundations, John scheduled Rick to come to my home within two days to check the situation out.
Rick arrived at my home on time and with the same disposition as John --- friendly, patient and thoughtful about my situation.  Rick patiently let me explain the scenario and then quickly began to investigate where the water damage was coming from.  Rick asked all the right questions which demonstrates his expertise and knowledge about what he is doing.  He quickly found the problem and although Aquaguard could not help --- immediately called a reputable plumbing service provider to help me schedule an appointment.
I can't Thank both John and Rick enough for their support, expertise and dedication to helping me solve my problem.  Should any of my friends or colleagues need waterproofing services/support, I will definitely refer them to Aquaguard Waterproofing !!!

It couldn't have gone better. They did an excellent job on all of the tiling, installing the shower and installing all fixtures. The duct work was also done very well. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and will definitely hire Gary and his crew again in the future for other projects that we may have. He is a super nice guy and was always incredibly responsive and punctual. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and hope to use his services again in the future.
