DO NOT order frames and lenses from them. The eye exam portion was great, but the trouble and horrible service started when we decided to order frames and lenses from them. I ordered some Oakley frames (which, in my opinion all of their frames are horribly over priced!) because they already had our insurance info and prescription, and we thought it would be easier. We ordered my frames and I was told they would contact me when they arrived. We got the call that the frames were done about a week later and we picked them up. When I arrived home I noticed the frames were not made correctly, due to the lenses being too large for the openings. When they assembled the frames they tried to cram the larger lenses into the frame, and they scratched up the frames and used a screw that was too large and a different color ( the frames are matte black, they used a large silver screw) so one side had a large silver screw, that was flat head, and it was supposed to be a small matte black Phillips head screw. This issue also caused the frame to be crooked and have tabs showing on each side because the lens openings couldn’t close correctly. For the price I paid the glasses should have been pristine before they were sent home with me! I returned to the store, and was informed they would be opening an hour late (as an employee was taping a sign to the front door 5 minutes after they should have opened) because of a meeting. When you open at 10 am you have plenty of time as a business to have employee meetings before you open! Also notice should be given BEFORE you are supposed to be open. Horrible time management and service for your customers. I returned later that day to return the horribly made frames and had to wait about 30 minutes before being helped. I shoes the glasses to Anisa and she said she can see the problems and she would get new ones ordered. She informed me the specific frames were back ordered. She got the order in and a few weeks later I received a call that she received the frames but they were again scratched and someone tried to cover the scratch with a sharpie. So she would AGAIN order them. I asked if they were back ordered still and she said no and they would be there Friday and she would give me a call. I didn’t receive a call Friday and by Tuesday the next week I still hadn’t received a call. I tried calling multiple times and no one answered and it would go to voicemail. I left a voicemail Tuesday and by Wednesday evening I still didn’t have contact. I called multiple times again and was forced to leave a voicemail. I finally received a call back almost a week after they said they would call and was told the frames were on back order. It took me a month and a half to receive frames and lenses from this company and they barely apologized. They gave me ONE pair of contacts because I said they owed me that for having me without glasses for a month and a half. I used 4 pairs of contacts in the time it took to get my glasses. They also said they would give us $50 back for the trouble which we still have yet to see. HORRIBLE customer service, horrible communication, and horrible at making things right. Stay away!

    Pickering, Dr. Roger
I felt that both Dr. Pickering and his assistant were attentive and answered all of my questions. All of the tests and devices were explained ahead of time, what to expect. The facility was clean, comfortable, very quiet. I particularly appreciated the futuristic eye camera that does away with the need for eyedrop dilation. There is a fee for using this device, 25.00, totally worth it.

Dr. Pickering hit my contact lens prescription almost perfectly. I have worn glasses and contact nearly all of my 65 years and he is one of the best optometrists I have ever had.

    Michael T. Chism, OD
Dr. Chism was fantastic. He was very professional, insightful, and thorough all the while being very personable. He took the time to answer all my questions and really understand the state of my eye health. He gave clear and concise recommendations and made sure that I understood all the information that he presented. At no point did I feel rushed, not understood, or uncomfortable. From the check in process to the examination, this experience was great!!! I will be returning and will be referring all those that I know.

    Rocky Mountain Eye Care Assocs
I have used the services of 3 different doctors at Rocky Mountain Eye Care, and receive regular examinations and treatment for glaucoma there. I have also had 3 different eye surgeries and one major procedure. I have been very happy with all 3 doctors. They are very good at explaining procedures and answering questions. I had great confidence in the doctors who performed my surgeries, and the outcomes were good on all of them. There billing staff has been extremely helpful in working with my insurance and making sure I am covered.

    Mountain View Eye Center
Doctor and tech were both very informative, friendly, and professional. Lots of people waiting and I had to wait almost 45 minutes past my original appointment time the very first time I went there because they were transcribing my optometry records into the computer. I came back for further eye tests a few weeks later and I did get seen on time.

    McKay, Dr. Mark
First of all, I decided to walk from my home to the office. Unfortunately the University of Utah has reconfigured everything and due to construction it was difficult to get to the center on foot. However taking the train home was easy, the stop is immediately across from the Moran Eye Center. I called to tell the office I was running late and they were very accommodating. Dr. McKay was efficient, thorough, and communicated well. He did not pressured to undergo any expensive (and risky due to my vision issues) procedures as some optometrists and ophthalmologists have done in other cities. However I do want to consider some emerging procedures that may work and Dr. McKay was informed and willing to consider future possibilities. My only disappointment was that they did not have the retinal imaging my doctor in California used (understandable as the imaging is not covered by most insurance). However he wanted copies of past images to use for comparison. The check-out and billing aspects of the visit were efficient and I am planning to continue consulting with Dr. McKay.
