  • The treatment was quick and easy. It does leave a fragrance for a couple of days, but it was a pleasant smell (especially compared to vomit!) Within a day or two the fragrance had dissipated, and we haven't smelled anything (good or bad) from the back of the car since. We are very pleased with the results.

  • Great! I called them for an appointment late one afternoon and was able get in the next morning. When I took my car in, I asked if they could also check the pressure in my tires, because I had noticed one seemed a bit low. After just a few minutes, I had all tires at the proper pressure, and the safety and emissions certificates in hand, ready to take to the DMV located just across the street. So convenient!
I have been taking my cars to Peak Performance for twenty five years now. They are knowledgeable, professional, reliable, honest and friendly. I have an older car, so when I take it in for regular service, I appreciate that they keep me apprised of potential issues to watch or that may need attention. They provide me with estimates on the costs and time frame, so I can  budget for it if necessary. When I have repairs done, they are good at getting the work done at a reasonable cost and in a reasonable amount of time.
It's great to have a mechanic you can trust.  I highly recommend Peak Performance.

  • I have got great service from them. I got a bid first, and they may not be the cheapest, but they are the most honest, and the most competitive. Whenever they service the car or do any kind of work, they check the fluids, and they give you a free car wash. They check the front as  well. They are good about giving estimates and sticking to that. They are very efficient, and seem to be very knowledgeable. The quality of work is excellent. I was originally referred to them by my daughter.

  • Scott Hunsaker has been my mechanic for the past 22 years.  He knows what he is doing and I trust him.  He always includes a through diagnostic evaluation of what may need to be done to my vehicle in the future, which is above and beyond the invoice.  Scott never tries to sell me anything I don’t need. He can literally sit in a car and usually diagnose a problem just by hearing.  I highly recommend him to others.

  • GT Automotive has been my mechanic for well over 10 years.  I have trusted them to take care of my cars throughout the years as well as my family members.  They are honest and fair.  They do not make unnecessary recommendations and even assist in prioritizing repairs based on safety and urgency.  The quality of their work is top notch.  I have referred family there to fix "repairs" completed by others in the past.

  • I have a mechanical background including working for five years as an auto mechanic at a dealership.  I would have done the work myself except i had just had surgery and my son needed the vehicle to drive to work.  Due to my condition it was mainly my son who dealt with Hillside.
The good:  Hillside did the repair in a reasonable amount of time.  When they didn't get the repair right the first time they did fix it right without charge.
The bad:  They screwed up my vehicle and claimed that it was brought to them like that.  I've owned the vehicle for 14 years and have never had the problem that they created.  With the problem being a fairly common one when replacing a fuel pump I still can't understand why they would argue about it.  After driving the vehicle for about a week after the initial repair it died on my son while he was driving it.  They also left the kick panel off after they fixed my vehicle so I had to put it back on.
As a former mechanic I should've known better than to let my son take it to Hillside.  If all you need is tires, an oil change, maybe some brake pads, I'm sure the lube techs at Hillside would do a fine job.  If you need a real mechanic to diagnose and perform a repair correctly I would not recommend Hillside.

  • Very friendly and waiting area is nice and large.  Got a Groupon for an inspection at 50% off from them, so the price was excellent.  The inspection guy was out when I went there, so I had a wait a little bit for him to come back to perform the inspection.  The inspection too longer than normal (~30 min), but I felt like they did a thorough job - they were the only inspection facility to actually take my tires off to check my brakes.  Even though I had to wait, I appreciated the thorough-ness.  I did fail my back drum brakes, which they priced me at $130 to repair.
All in all, I didn't feel like they were trying to drum up their auto repair business by telling me everything that was wrong with my old car.  I felt they wanted to be known as honest mechanics.  I will likely bring my car back to them for the $130 brake repair job.

  • I started getting my 1998 Suzuki Esteem repaired at Ray's Garage years ago upon a recommendation of a friend and have been going ever since.  And they service my wife's van now as well.  While they do charge a little more up front, but you always get what you pay for.  They always use quality NAPA parts and I can trust the work because I feel like the mechanics are well compensated for their labor.
One particular experience comes to mind - I had a CV joint that went out some time ago, went to another company and they just replaced the boot.  It was broken again in 6 months time.  Went to Ray's and they replaced the entire CV shaft.  When I asked why, they said that in their experience just replacing the boot didn't last very long and they saw a lot of repeat customers.  But when they replaced the entire CV shaft, the problem went away for a long time.  Sure, the price was a little more up front, but it's been 6 years since they've done this work and I haven't had to go back for CV joints at all.
Since then they have replaced my radiator, other inner tie rods, and have inspected my cars.  I'd definitely recommend them.

  • My car died and my husband had to jump it, we drove it down to Les Schwab. They said the battery would need to be replaced, about an hour or so later they sent us on our way. Later that night my service battery light came on and then my car wouldn't start. We drove it back down to Les Schwab (after jumping it). I noticed that the stereo wasn't working along with the windshield wipers. They took my car and said it would take a few hours. Later that day I got in my car and before I drove it off the lot the service battery light came on again. We took my car back for a third time. At this point I was not happy. The "manager" looked at my car and said that they put the battery in backwards and my car needed more repair. So they had me drive my car down to Kearns Auto. This guy was a joke. He said that some damage was done but there was no way to tell what the backwards battery could have done. They had my car for a week, when I drove it off the stereo didn't work, the dome light was out, and the service engine light was on. Just to give you a little history- I am the original owner of my vehicle. I have every receipt for every service ever done to my car. I take extremely good care of it. It has never been wrecked and I am up to date on every oil change, tire rotation, and services needed. After I drove it away from Kearns Auto, I was on my way to work and it just broke down on the side of the freeway. I had to pay to have it towed and was tired of messing around so I took it to the dealer. Not sure if anyone is aware, but if you ever put your battery in backwards and try to drive it, your car will never be the same. This crushed me. My car is old, but needed to last a little longer as I was 8 months pregnant and in school full time. I couldn't afford any expensive work, or to get a new one yet.Anyway, the dealer told me the ground wires had been ruined and to replace the damage done cost me over $500. Not to mention all of the heart ache and dealing with taking my car back and forth. My car still isn't the same and never will be. They had to remove the whole dash among other things. I fought with Les Schwab to try to get them to cover the damage, but they refused. They told me if I would take my car to the dealer in the beginning they would pay for the diagnostics and they never even did that. I called the head quarters with no avail. They all said there was no way to prove that it was their fault and that I could have had that damage before???? I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even tires. Who puts a battery in backwards and tries to sell it off not once, but three times??? If they can foul up a simple task like that, imagine what they could do to your brakes. If you have any questions about my experience please feel free to email me- If you decide to use Les Schwab at least don't go to this location, and do not leave your car there with out your supervision!
