    Roger Golding
Roger Golding is the kind of guy you wish you had in all of the different services required to keep a home running --- or maybe just as your neighbor! His work is a superior quality, and he goes the extra mile to be sure you're happy. He is so easy to work with --- very respectful, smart, tons of common sense, does things right, charges a very fair price. He gets back to you right away by phone or text if you have questions.  He came to Springville from Lehi to do a free quote on our job, spending about 30-45 minutes with us talking through what we wanted and offering suggestions that would make the ideas compatible with his knowledge of earth moving & equipment. He answered all of our questions respectfully and with good advice --- he does things by the book, which was reassuring to us since we don't know all the codes. He named a very fair price at the end of our conversation (less than half of what our next-door neighbor was charged by another contractor for similar work). He was up front that it's a $250 minimum to show up, and if there's bad weather (mud) and he can't do the job, we'll be charged anyway. So we listened to his assessments about weather since we're in the rainy season (didn't want to get charged). We had to push the job back twice because of rain, but it actually worked out better for us because we were still clearing rocks and weeds.  He called the city hotline to have them come out and place flags for cable boxes, etc, 3 days ahead of our project date. He was supposed to come at 8 on Thursday morning, but showed up at 7:45am in his industrial work truck hauling a trailer with his bobcat. He parked in our neighbor's side driveway that had access to our back lot and did a great job getting in there. We showed him a hand-drawn plan based on our previous conversation and talked through any questions, then he got to work. We couldn't believe the amount of earth he moved in such a short time. Our yard was transformed. By 10:45 it was a different place.  Throughout the process, he watched us for cues about how it was going. Twice he got down out of his rig just to do a status check and make sure things were shaping up. His goal was to do the job right, so if there were any questions we talked them through, and he didn't go until he felt we were happy. He's so easy to talk to and really wants to understand. He seemed to anticipate all of our needs, even reading our minds sometimes.  He went out of his way to clear boulders and lengthened the slope we had set up when we realized the grade was too steep for the riding mower. He went back and made one of the terraces smaller (about 60' worth of earth) so that there could be more lawn. He also went out of his way to clear some bad fill by removing good topsoil and placing the bad fill deep underneath so we'd have great soil to plant.  He also does trenching, tree and post holes, tilling, leveling, grading. His motto is "Quality Work One Yard At A Time."  Overall, I give the highest recommendation to Roger! We're recommending him to friends and family. Not only a great professional, but truly a nice guy.

My daughter had a flood in her basement. Diamond Rental (3300 S & 2900 E) helped  me get the correct equipment to dry out the basement. They were excellent to work with.

When I went there and I explained what my problem was, and was prepared to pay for a job that only ended up costing me just a few dollars because of their helpful information. After they told me what I needed, they loaned me the tool for a reasonable rate. I can say that I trust them totally.

    The Other Box
I had a flood in an apartment in an old building, and had to move at very short notice into another apartment in the same building because the (rather poorly maintained) walls and under-carpet flooring started to mold. I'd seen The Other Box's card at Jack Mormon Coffee Company, and hate wasting cardboard boxes, so after figuring that I would probably save money on boxes while being green, I sent them an email. Sara responded within a few hours, explained their service and pricing, was very friendly and supportive in a difficult time for me, and gave me advice on how many boxes I would need. The boxes were delivered with care at the exact date and time I ordered them. I was very slow in unpacking, and they were generous in allowing me to keep them an extra week. When they picked them up, again exactly when I asked, they were ready to charge me little if nothing extra, but because their service was outstanding I insisted on paying them the normal $40 additional fee. The Other Box provides large, sturdy plastic boxes with cleverly designed interlocking top flaps and slots for index cards to allow you to label the boxes on their sides; they also provide the index cards and plastic zip ties to 'lock' the boxes for security and safety and sell biodegradable bubble wrap and other packing supplies. My friends and I were able to move almost all of them myself with a dolly. The only downside--which was an upside in my case--is that having to return the boxes will strongly encourage you to completely unpack after moving, which is always one of my weak points. Because I needed to store some things in anticipation of another move I did buy about 5 U-Haul boxes, but using The Other Box not only saved me money but let me avoid the hassle and expense of buying, hauling and disposing of a ton of cardboard boxes.  In addition, I got to do good by using a local company and making it a green move. I have recommended the company to numerous friends and will continue to do so.

My experience was good. I reserved a power rake in advance. It was waiting for me when I arrived. check out was quick, the employees were very helpful. They loaded the rake into my car and made sure I knew how to use it.

    Altitude Equipment Rental
I rented these items from them and a big storm came in. We were unable to finish the work on that day. The equipment ended up having to sit there for a few days. When I went in to pay for this rental, he did not charge me for any extra time, only for the one day rental. I was very pleased that I was not penalized for having to keep it around while the weather was bad. I thought this was wonderful customer service.

Just wanted to make sure I posted about these guys.  I actually had 2 experiences with them in 2 weeks.  Rented a dirtbike and they even provided me a trailer.  They provided top notch equipment and expect it to be returned that way and I respect that.  Anyways I get the bike home and my buddies ATV wouldn't start.  DOH,  bike back on the trailer and back to Springville I go.  They were super cool and even offered me credit for another rental.   I booked for the next weekend and they hooked me up with another dirtbike (like new KX250) which ran like a tank and had the time of my life.   Both times the rentals were smooth and returns super fast.    Springville is a small hike from Salt Lake but I think it's well worth it. Would rent from them again in a heartbeat.  Only thing is.....I AM BUYING A DIRTBIKE NOW!!  Man was that fun.   :)

    Ahern Rentals Inc
Ahern Rentals Inc has good people to work with. They're probably not the best in price, but they're up close. They're in a small area so they know they have a corner on the market.

    Kalia Flooring & Design Center
Great provider for the do-it-yourselfer. Wholesale prices.  Great products.  Great advice.  Very reasonable rates on the nail gun rental, I think I had the gun for about a month.  Sometimes Scott is a little hard to get a hold of but he's very busy so that's understandable. I finished 2 rooms and a hallway, approx 400 square feet with an underlayment that reduces noise.  The engineered hickory had a very nice distressed look, came in three different lengths and 3 different widths.  It looks fabulous.
