    Cottonwood OB/GYN
With my first pregnancy I had nothing to compare it to and felt that I had adequate attention. However, when I moved to Salt Lake and needed to find a new doctor this practice was recommended to me. I couldn't believe the difference in care, attention, and the whole atmosphere of this place. This was such a nice, beautiful, friendly, welcoming, and competent environment. I really enjoyed my visits and the way I was taken care of during my checkups and also the care I received in the hospital by my doctor. I later moved to another state and had to once again find a new clinic and a new doctor. My doctor there was fantastic too, but the clinic just wasn't the same as Cottonwood OB/GYN. Having had three very different experiences I can honestly say that I don't think you could find better care and treatment anywhere else. They were absolutely fantastic!

Prior to coming to Phase II, I was constantly being inconvenienced by my prior OB/BGYN due to the unpredictability of delivering babies or other OB emergencies. Although I was very attached to my prior OB/GYN, I made the decision to switch to Phase II and it has been a very good decision for me. It has been so much better to go to a clinic that is designed for GYN-only patients. They have always been efficient and on time, but I never feel like I am being rushed through my exam. The NP has taken time to talk about overall physical health issues and made excellent recommendations for improving well-being.

    Labrum, Dr. Jeffrey M
I was impressed with how much time he gave me and didn't seemed rushed at all. I've been to him twice now and that was the case each time. He listens and asks if I have questions. He was competent. He explained things very well. His staff were helpful and friendly and the office manager I think who had been there 30 years had nothing but praise for him and she was right. He had a smile on his face each time I was there and the procedures were well organized and quickly done.

    Dr. Saunders Obstetrics and Gynecology
I just adore Dr. Saunders!  He's performed all three of my babies' deliveries, I've seen him for almost all of my OBGYN appointments, and he performed the D&C I required when my first pregnancy was a partial-molar pregnancy.  He was so sensitive and informative about that rare type of miscarriage, and I recovered from that with absolutely no complications, and very little pain.  Dr. Saunders is an excellent surgeon and physician.  The nurses that work with him will all attest to his high level of skill, and as a patient, I've noticed that despite having to undergo relatively painful procedures, he is very gentle.  He's very intelligent and informed, and  I trust him 100% with my health and well-being, and that of my newborn.   The biggest thing I appreciate about Dr. Saunders is that he really listens to me!!  He is even sensitive to my facial expressions when I'm unsure, or disagree with something my husband or nurses suggest.   For example, I really wanted to experience a natural (un-medicated) childbirth experience.  My husband wasn't so sure of this idea with our first son, but Dr. Saunders was more concerned about what I wanted, and what was best for our baby.  I really appreciate not being told what to do as far as giving birth!  And unlike so many doctors in Utah Valley who tell their patients essentially, "This is how we deliver babies.  No birth plans, please."  Dr. Saunders is far from that.  In creating my birth plan, he gave me excellent advise to keep it very simple and focused on the things that matter the most to me, because sometimes if you focus on all the tiny details, you loose focus of the main things that are really important to you.  I really appreciated that.  So, I created a birth plan with 3 or 4 bullet points of what I would like (assuming no complications) and that was it.  With that advice, we've been able to experience all the things that mattered most to us in our deliveries. Dr. Saunders is great for anyone like me, who wants to experience a natural childbirth in a hospital setting.  With all three of my deliveries, he's made every effort to be there to deliver my baby, and so far we've been lucky enough to have him every time.  When I've been in labor, he's always sure to stay close by, and in my last two deliveries, he was there through my whole transition phase, and it was so comforting to know that he was right there, ready.  I appreciated that he was patient with my labor, and didn't insist on unnecessary induction drugs, and has never performed an unnecessary episiotomy. I'm so excited that he is opening his own practice in American Fork!   He's at 48 N 1100 E in AF, and  his office number is 801-692-1429.  Call him.  He's great!

    Van Horn, Dr. Jennifer
Dr Van Horn and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even answer questions / concerns online relatively fast. Our only concern is that they do not (always) note frequent side effects of medication - it would be nice to be aware of those ahead of time.

Dr. Jackson was easy to talk to and really cared. He addressed all my concerns and never made me feel that I was asking stupid questions or being a nuisance. His care made it possible for me to go full term with the baby. Even though problems landed me in the hospital for a week -- a few days before the birth and a few days after -- I never felt he neglected me in any way. Because he had taken the time to describe the symptoms of a possible problem, I was able to get to the hospital early enough that things didn't get really serious. Both mom and baby are doing fine!

    Steele, Dr. Max M
He reminded me that I had no been there in a couple of years so they are punctual with reminding you that you need to come for your appointments. He will be delivering my daughter's baby and I think that says a lot.

Went to see Dr. Robin Houpe, one of the OB's located in the CIrle of Life. Love her! She is very informative and will answer any questions that I have, even silly ones. She will let my Husband get involved as well, which is what he likes.
