Landscaping reviews in Ogden

Am very satisfied with the amount of work and the end result. This is a small business/sole proprietor that does most of the work himself, but the communication is excellent. He showed up to do the bid on time, returned my calls, and the end result was exactly as we discussed. A very good experience!

I called on a Tuesday and Corey came on Thursday. He finished his previous job early and came a couple of hours ahead of time which I appreciated. Got my riding mower fixed faster than if I hauled it to a shop (assuming I had a way to haul it). I don't think the cost was any more (or if as much) than I would have paid to a shop.

Earthworks was phenomenal to work with. Their attention to detail and professionalism is unmatched. They completed a large project for our new home including sprinkler systems, grading of the lot, extensive concrete work, planted over 175 trees, shrubs, perennials, areas of dryscape and more. We couldn't be more pleased

We lost our big pine tree in the tornado last Thursday. After getting an estimate from a company that wanted over $3,000.00 we went with Tea's and they did the job for about $2,000.00 less. The owner and his crew were very nice and able to get the job done in one day. I was so grateful they were able to get the tree removal and clean up done so quickly. If I had to give them a grade for their work it would be A+.

I had recently moved into a new home and needed some trees trimmed. I selected Nye's due to previous reviews. The service they provided lived up to, and even exceeded my expectations. They asked for my concurrence several times during their work to ensure they were trimming the right branches. Some branches had grown into close proximity of my house. They expertly trimmed those branches so they wouldn't strike the house when felled. After their work was complete, they cleaned up my yard and left it in better condition than when they arrived. I highly recommend Nye's Tree and Shrub Service.

The crews got here and started weeding the beds - not pulling everything out.  I had to call the office because the workers did not speak English well enough to understand what I was saying.  Finally, they got started with the actual job then tried to leave without spraying.  It was then that I learned a different crew came to spray.  In the meantime, I got a call because the crew was under the impression I wanted them to plant flowers in the beds, which had never come up.  The guy came to spray a week later and was waiting for me when I got home from an errand - they had never been able to give me a time for the job so I had no idea what time he was coming.  He was under the impression that he was supposed to spray my entire lawn so I had to call the crew chief since the office was closed.  He told me the spray would not do what the office had told me it would do and that it wouldn't really be worth it for the beds.  I had a problem area at the side of my house so I just had him spray the stuff there.  My $200 job turned into $332 because they billed me separately for this although no one ever explained to me that that would be the case.  Don't get me wrong - the crews that work for Rasmussen are great - the best - they do excellent work no matter what it is.  If you could have the crews without dealing with the office you would be fine, but I have finally had it with the company itself.  Miscommunications are constant.  The crews can't always communicate with you and so you end up calling the office - I think at least one person on every crew should understand and speak English at least a little.  In any case, I would give Rasmussen an A rating if it were just the guys who do the work, but the Company comes with them and it's not worth having to deal with them.

WOW!  Mike and his crew did an amazing job of trimming a tree so that the back branches were no longer over the roof.  Mike's suggestion to NOT cut the front of that tree helped to maintain the aesthetics of the tree.  THANKS, MIKE!!  The crew also removed a large limb that had grown over a fence and into a neighbors yard.  Finally, the most challenging job involved cutting down a Cottonwood tree that was very close to my house.

The entire crew was extremely courteous and cleaned up my yard well.  I appreciated receiving the companys proof of insurance prior to them coming to do the work.  I will definitely be calling them for future tree trimming and removal needs.

P.S.  They also took the time to remove a shrub for a neighbor while they were here!!

Their work is superb, their prices are unbelievably high I mean you are paying fifty bucks an hour for on scale labor. What they do is fine, I would not use them again because they are so expensive. I had to have them back because they had not done what I had ordered them to do and I had to complain to get them to come. I was having problem with water getting under my house and I had to have them put in pave slope to fix the slope and they had to put pavers to secure pretty much the foundation around so that the water wouldn't get in.I don't know how much is it for a paver over at home depot they had to go around half of my house but it was a fair amount they had to come back and bring filler in and fix it.

Ken was very responsive.  I called on Saturday and he was here by Wednesday.  He and his helper arrived on time, completed the repair, and were finished in a little over an hour.  He called me at work to inform me how long the repair would take, I drove home and met with him while he was cleaning up, he answered all my questions and provided some excellent advice.  Ken is very professional, courteous, and pleasure to work with.

My main complaint is they are always late in doing the service...they don't get the pre-emergence out in time, and they are always late in applying the other lawn chemicals, thus my lawn normally looks "bad" because the chemicals are always being applied after the fact...
