Gutter Repair reviews in Ogden

  • I would highly recommend Unlimited Siding. Chris came out and explained things as we talked about what needed to be done on our house. Since I had gotten other estimates I had picked out the siding color I thought I wanted. Chris explained the siding color I picked would have a real orange tint when on my house. This would not have been good with our brown brick so I appreciated his honesty. It took a bit for them to get to us because they were busy but it was worth the wait. Jeremy and Montana were great with the windows and siding. Very professional and always leaving my yard cleaned up when they left for the day. May not be the quickest but very happy with the end result.

  • It was a twenty minute job but I had to pay for the travel time to get here. The work that they did, that I had asked for, they did really well and then there was also an issue with one of the other gutters that the repointing guys had pointed out and the gutter people were figure out a way to fix it. That was onsite evaluation and figuring it out how to make it work. The price was fair. If you look at the amount of guttering involved it looks outrageous but given that they had to come here, I think it was fair. Other companies wouldn’t even come out unless it is a $500 job. They even matched the coloring. They were even careful to point out to me that the brown that they had doesn’t match what was on the house but that’s okay because what was on the house has faded from twenty years, so it is close enough. I called them a little bit earlier but they told me they were busy. They came right when they said they would.

  • I will have to say that dealing with Betty and Juan was such an enjoyable experience. I was not expecting anything spectacular with any company that I was going to hire to replace my investment houses gutters. The first few times I spoke with Betty, I was very impressed. She is a sweetheart and professional as well.
They not only had the best prices out of 4 total companies I searched, but it was by a few hundred dollars. They use quality products, and what amazed me the most was the attention to detail that they left with the smallest of things. I want to say a personal thank you to Betty and Juan. You both were awesome!
I wish you offered additional services as I would find a way to hire you for those as well. Thank you again and I will recommend you to my friends and family.
If you are looking for a company that will make sure the job is done right, and correct anything that goes wrong, then Bettys Rain Gutters I am confident wont disappoint.

  • Quote was prompt. Scheduling was reasonable. On day of repairs they were late in the day and we were told it would be early in the day. Work looks great. Have not had rain yet so we will see if the gutter performs then. Overall good company to deal with.

  • My husband and I wanted it to be replaced in a particular way which was not like their usual way of doing it. We just assumed that he would follow the same pattern that my husband did though we did not tell him to but we just thought he would and instead they did it the way they normally do it so we have lots of water being dumped by it on the space on our basement. We went out and told him how we wanted it done. His first comment was, "Well, we don't normally do rain gutters that way." But he was interested and very respectful so he went over it again and we explained to him how it had worked really well and we had no issues with water being dumped right at the basement. He says, "I'll go ahead and do that, it's just that I have to configure things differently." He would not have done it for our home but he was very respectful and did a beautiful job. When he came, it was all about the job. When he came with his helper, they started working and they've worked here and took everything down and put everything back like he said. He did have to reconfigure and cut things in a way that he had not done but he did a beautiful job of doing it and he was proud of it. When it's all done, he looked at it and he said, "I believe that's gonna work really well." I don't want to give him an A because I don't want people to expect perfection. His truck was not the newest truck, he just had regular clothes and he did not have a nice uniform that says 'Raingutter Specialist' across it. He's just a regular, tough guy that did a good job and he was very, very kind to hear my husband out. He took my husband's idea seriously and that really meant a lot to us. He dealt with us with respect and his openness to do something that he does not normally do meant a lot to an older couple.

  • It went great!  They came on time and worked hard all day.  Our home is older and a lot of things weren't standard so they had to go out for materials several times, but it added very little to what was already a really reasonable cost.  They are friendly and trustworthy.  Gary and Mike were both very professional, but friendly.  My  mother is an invalid and sometimes confused - she thought today was Valentine's Day and Mike made her a little valentine out of cardboard, which thrilled her no end.  All in all it was a great experience - the work they did was flawless and I am putting together another list of things that need doing.

  • A+.  PLEASE call this company first for your gutter repair/replacement--there is a reason  they have an "A" rating and numerous positive reviews on their work--note my review below.
When I originally asked Capitol Rain Gutters to come give me a bid it was because another contractor did not make it for over 4 weeks running (even though we were scheduled 3 times).  He said it would help him out if I got someone else due to the problems he seemed to have with his equipment/crew.
Wes (Capitol Gutters) came out and gave me a bid on 31 Oct --he drove from SLC to Ogden; he was very professional and called ahead on that day to say he may be a few minutes late.  When he arrived, we discussed the job  for both a complete replacement and a repair/replacement.  He measured and also provided insight no one else had on the front section repair piece by telling me it was not sloped properly.  I received the estimate on that day in writing and was scheduled this week for the repair/replacement.
In the meantime, my other contractor showed up and I forgot to cancel this scheduled job prior to them coming--my error and fault totally and very embarrassing for me since their crew had to drive north!!!  Upon my return home, I called Wes back to apologize for my error.  He was very courteous, kind, and professional in discussing the situation and overall outcome with me.

  • All work was done professionally by a pleasant, skilled crew. The house looks great.
Our two-story house with attached garage was 27 years old with the original shingles. Very high winds had blown shingles off from time to time and we had individual sections of the roof repaired at those times. The latest windstorm damage resulted in water leaking into an upstairs bedroom, so we decided it was time for the full replacement.
We had four contractors come to the house to bid on the project. The IWC bid by Gerald Sommer was the lowest.
Having several contractors survey the job was very useful, beyond just getting confidence that we were hiring the right contractor at a fair price. Each experienced contractor brought up different factors for us to consider. One contractor proposed putting new shingles on top of the old shingles, and we considered this option as it would lower the cost by thousands of dollars. But after discussing this option with our homeowners insurance company and another insurance agent, we learned that some insurance companies are opposed to layering new shingles over the old. Some insurance companies will not renew the policy when the roof is repaired in this way. We would caution any homeowner to consult with your insurance agent before choosing to go the layered shingle route.
Another reason we are happy that we had the old shingles removed was that there was rafter water damage that might have been overlooked had we not removed the old shingles down to bare wood.
The experienced crews clearly know their craft well. I liked seeing them use safety ropes when working on steep sections of the roof. When there was an interruption in electrical power to our neighborhood, they suggested a workaround that allowed them to continue their work with minimal delay.
Overall, a job very well done.

  • As part of another contract, the three-man crew replaced a 20-foot section of gutter high above the ground that had been blown down in a strong thunderstorm. This contract also included the repair of a soffit on a different corner of the house.
While the crew was here, we found another two sections of rain gutter that needed replacement. We agreed to the price of $175 for this additional work, which involved correcting the drainage and making a watertight joint in a corner. When this work was done, the crew noticed another gutter problem we had not seen in a high section of the roof. They corrected this problem at no additional charge.
The skilled crew worked efficiently and were very pleasant to work with.

  • The work was performed exactly as bid.  The materials used were of high qualtiy.  It was necessary for the contractor to adjust their installation schedule to coordinate their installation with a roofer.  They performed this coordination even though the roofer schedule changed and access for the gutter installers was limited. All calls during the bidding process and during installation were answered promptly.  We will work with this contractor in the future and recommend them to others.
